Today they sent me an e-mail to notify me that is back in stock. They also said that: "The formula has not changed for the moment, it is the same as before." Considering the "for the moment" part, it...
Bond No.9 - Blecker Street
This one is highly praised. It didn't work for me. Two hours max longevity and the smell is quite common. Nothin special.
Ténéré followed by (in no particular order): Third Man, Macassar, Salvador Dali PH, Sables, Derby, Ambre Precieux.
A great decade!
I have the following for sale:
Shiseido - Basala, edt, 40/50 ml - 70€
Shiseido - Basala, aftershave, 100+/150 ml - 35€
Almost signature scent for me. The one from 1976 is even better.
I have the following bottles for sale (mostly female & unisex fragrances). They can be shipped anyhwere in the world, altough shipping outside EU would be more costly as the...
1. New Haarlem (4)
2. Gucci Pour Homme, L'Air du Desert Marocain, Cafe Rose, Narciso Rodriguez for Her (2)
Others I have worn only once, so they don't count.
Aqua Universalis Forte from Maison Francis Kurkdjian. Also Absolue Pour le Matin from the same house is something to consider. Both sillage and longevity are good with these two. An important factor...
I will have some Noir de Noir for it is on my to-try list since forever. Thanks!
One of the best designer fragrances that money can buy. Can easily be worn all year-round. Unfortunately, on me, both the edt and the edp have poor longevity and sillage (even with 10 sprays!),...
Just yesterday I tested Secretions Magnifiques and Rien. While I found Rien to be a nice leather-incense and wearable fragrance, the other one was very strange, pushing the limits, it was ugly, but...
Duel by Annick Goutal. If you can find a vintage bottle.
Also an easy one to find would be Kilian's Bamboo Harmony. And another one worth mentioning is Osmanthe Yunnan from Hermes. Unfortunately,...
I totally agree, although I have not tried so many from this house.
I find the SOTD function very useful and I use it everytime I wear something.
Most worn were:
1) Gucci pour Homme I - 18
2) Vétiver Tonka - 11
3) Honour Man - 9
4) Tam Dao, Teint de Neige -...
There's also a video about the black bottle on his website for anyone interested. I saw that he talks about other fragrances too.
That looks just like Nombre Noir by Shiseido. Do you have any idea if the black bottle of Nombre Noir was also refillable?
Trumper's Sandalwood is great! Projection and longevity are both fantastic! And on me fragrances do not last that long or do not project that well.
Samsara vintage, the parfum version is my SotD,...
Any idea what period is this from? I inserted the code on checkcosmetic, but nothing.
I already inserted the name of the fragrance. All you have to do is to press that "volume" button and you will hear how is...
The newer one does not have "Christian Dior Paris" written or even "Eau de Toilette". Also, the cap is different from the actual version which has a cylindrical shape.
Their Sandalwood is the best santal-based fragrance that I have experienced. It's better than Tam Dao or Egoiste! There! I said it! :D
Thanks lpp for your reply!
I thought about it too and then I looked at the notes. Yours seems to be a strong, bold fragrance and the one I have is a bit sweet and delicate.
I am curious what fragrance is this one and also the size. Anyone has any idea about it?
Only a small bottle, but sometimes less is more
Gucci Pour Homme I
Somebody from the marketing department of Gucci should be fired for Guilty still being sold and this one not.
Love: Leather, Suede, Incense
Rochas - Alchimie
Incredible vanilla fragrance. Yummy! I also have a sample of Lumiere that waits. Rochas has some very fine fragrances. Such a shame that all of them are discontinued. Now I need...
Thanks, hednic! Unfortunately is the 50 ml size, but for me that's enough juice.
Thank you lpp for your kind words! I was dying to test Basala after reading so many things about it. I am so glad now that I have it as an edt.
I also got a bottle of Poison from 1990. That's the...
Thanks for your reply! I searched on the internet and it seems that the silver edition is a refillable case, not the gold one. Too bad I have the gold one :D There are already some marks near the...
Diorissimo 0.34 fl oz esprit de parfum
Is there a way to determine how much juice is left?
What year this one might be from?
Great find, lpp! Use it in good health!
Now I have to get some Mitsouko myself (or any vintage Guerlain) :D
Thank you, guys! It smells very good! Leathery, spicy, manly and sexy!
A friend who travels a lot always buys me different fragrances that he finds in the cities he visits.
On the bottom of the bottle it says that is a refill bottle, but to refill what? I know that 24 Faubourg comes in a "simple", non-refillable bottle. The code starts with V so it is...
Anybody ever saw that bottle of 24 Faubourg before?
And, of course, DK Men
Diptyque - Tam Dao (edt)
Lorenzo Villoresi - Teint de Neige
Incredible powdery, soft, gentle fragrance. It's like floating on a cloud!
Thank you for your reply, kumquat!
There's a code on the bottom of the bottle, but it seems that checkcosmetic doesn't recognize it. I was curious what year is from, but knowing that this is...
Is this the vintage version or the newer one? I have no idea what version is, but it smells absolutely amazing! :D
Etro - Gomma
MPG - Parfum d'Habit
Tam Dao was my SotD. I find it very creamy and something that can be easily worn by a female, therefore not that masculine.
For a more masculine take on woods, I would say Duro from Nasomatto.
Go for the big bottle! If 60 ml is too much, you can always sell 20, 30 ml and get something else and you will have a decent amount of M remaining.
What year these two might be?
Another Caron! You are unstoppable :D
I have not opened it. I do not have the courage :D
Is that a vintage bottle of Parfum Sacre? I have never smelled Parfum Sacre, but I always had a secret love for it because of the name :D
Thanks, lpp! My bottle is from August 1988 :D
I just got this little beauty: a sealed bottle of Hermès - Calèche parfum.
Any idea from what year it might be? :D
Thank you for you answers!
Yes, it does smell good. A bit rancid at first, only for a few seconds, but after that it is ok. Just like it should be.
I just got a bottle of Diorissimo and I was wondering which year is from. Perhaps you can help me for I have found nothing on the internet about it.
Here is a picture of the bottle:
I just got a 2 fl oz bottle Monsieur Dupont by Richard Dupont. I have found nothing about it on the internet. I was wondering if somebody has any idea when it got released, information...
According to checkcosmetics, this bottle has been made in 2006 and $60 is a good price, imo.
How comes nobody mentioned Invasion Barbare?
I tested Spicebomb once. To me it smells like bubblegum. A very good fragrance considering how most of the designer fragrances are nowadays.
I would not mind a full bottle :D
Shalimar EDP version
Declaration and L'Eau d'Hiver.
It is really hard to choose only one from these two.
Viktor&Rolf - Flowerbomb
I know only Velvet, but on my skin is too medicinal. The smell is very pungent, nothing velvety about it. Too much for my nose.
On the other hand, Oud, is quite a nice scent and I wear it from time...
What he said.
I will add Dans tes Bras. Very different, very niche-like.
Back to Black, but I have not tested Chergui yet.
I got some great compliments on Lumiere Noire by Francis Kurkdjian. That rose and spices combination works great on me, I suppose.
Azzaro Pour Homme
Everything was sold
Thanks for your answers! They are highly appreciated.
I just got a refill bottle of Chamade. On the bottom it says "Copyright 1981 Paris". The recharge piece has a code on it and the code is "WA5DA4". Do you have any idea if the recharge is from the...
Epic smells like an expensive incense soap. Musc Ravageur smells of many things in the drydown, but it has nothing in common with Epic's drywodn.
Very well-done. Black Afgano smells of smoke and woods. It is ok, but I find Kinski to be more original.
I wore today Lys Mediterranee and it was amazing. Like walking in a flower shop. I respect every man that follows his nose instead of what marketing dictates. If you enjoy the smell, then wear it.
It smells like money. Very classy.
Jubilation XXV or Prada Amber Pour Homme.
I read it and also watched the movie twice. Actually, I enjoyed the movie more than the book, which is very unusual.

Thierry Mugler came up with a limited edition of the...
I find all three to be very wearable. I wore Jubilation and LADDM when I was 19 and I am still wearing Musc Ravageur now, when I am 20. No problems. They are actually very pleasant and the people you...
I tried them all and whilst I salute this concept and the whole idea behind it, I can not see myself wearing any of them anytime soon. If my memory is good, the only two that I liked were Memoirs of...
Have you tried Floris No.89?
I also like Incense Oud and I think is one of the best offerings from this house. You should also try Love. It is actually sweeter than Back to Black, but you never know what floats your boat.
I wore Fahrenheit while in high-school and it got me a few compliments. I remember that once a teacher commented on it. She knew what I was wearing. Probably, her husband uses Fahrenheit too.
Dans tes Bras. It is like a surrealistic painting, a symphony of notes and a revolt against the ordinary. If you are looking for art when it comes to perfumes, then you need to try it. Smells like...
I have tested it and while I can appreciate the quality of ingredients, I can not say the same about the smell itself. It is not something groundbreaking, but something you have smelled before. I get...
Tested a few from M. Micallef and every one of them was not worthy the price tag.
No. 89 by Floris
Happy New Year!
I would go for Narciso Rodriguez for Him and/or Declaration from Cartier. Both are very great and can be used all year round. You should go at a store and test these two. It is not something that a...
I always wanted to get a whiff of Tobacco Vanille. Really hard to get a sample where I live. I would love to test it. Thanks!
Only tried Cuir Beluga and SDV. Both are really good smelling and last very long, but I think I much prefer the immortelle from Cuir Beluga over SDV's vanilla.
Amouage - Epic Man
Ambre Fetiche by Annick Goutal. Really hard to choose between AF and Ambre Precieux.
Is there anybody who got their sample?
Sandalwood by Geo F. Trumper
Me neither. And I received the e-mail on 2 August. It's been some time...
Still hoping that it did not get lost on it's way to me.
I wore it a few times and I got no connection with Le Male. It smelled spicy and that's all. Not very great, but not that bad either.
Mon Parfum Cheri by Annick Goutal.
The weirdest note for me was goat hair, but now this one takes the cake.
