I came here to post that it would be a Tom Ford, but I was beat to the punch. Fact: Tom Ford did the clothing (and sunglasses) for James Bond in Quantum of Solace, apparently Daniel Craig asked Tom...
Can anyone recommend a good frag or two of the above descriptions? I realized that holiday time is upon us and I have not bought anything for myself for a good six months or so. I used to have...
I just received this as well. What is the consensus on what to get?
Intensa. Man I love that frag.
Creed threads make baby jesus cry.
I like some of their stuff though.
$170, Green Irish Tweed. Worth it.
Perhaps they just had an exclusivity contract that expired.
+1! I had a SA recommend this the other day, I had to double check the bottle to make sure it was the new one.
Dior Homme Sport
I can't believe I never saw this one. I will have to try this out, lord knows I have spent enough buying their watches...
I have both, I am a huge fan of the original, less of a fan of the Intense. I do like it however, but I have not tried it yet in summer weather. Anyone tried this out in 90 - 100 degree temps and...
I came into this thread to post the exact same thing. Holy crap does that frag last forever! I can smell it on my sweater a week later when washing!
3.4 ounce VINTAGE Dior Homme, includes box, 99.9%. $90 shipped.
2.5 ounce Sean John Unforgivable Multi Platinum without box - sprayed once - $70 shipped.
3.4 ounce Dolce Gabanna Light Blue...
Someone correct me if I am wrong, but I think they are the same.
Both of my parents smoked and I have no doubt it damaged my sense of smell. I have no scientific evidence to back this up, but I do have life experience. I am always the last one to pick up on scents...
England banned Fred Phelps as well. I wish we could do that in the states.
Could it be an older bottle or one that had been kept in a hot area?
Thanks for bringing this up. I am anxious to see how Dior is treated in the future for obvious reasons. I saw that clip with Guerlain and could not believe he could be so narrow minded and stupid,...
Pete, meet repeat. This was just done a few days ago.....
Mine however is j.c.e.
I have a problem with this on many forums, this is not unique to this site. One time I had an electronic item listed on a site for $100, a guy said it was priced too high and provided a link to eBay...
You beat me to it. But if he ever has a flanker it will be Bi-Winning.
I like your choice of words!
As for the topic, I would not wear it. An I consider myself pretty open minded on wearing feminine fragrances.
I also avoid celeb fragrances, forgot to mention that one. I was actually visiting my parents one time and my Mom had a Paris Hilton frag and I questioned her about it. My Mom has the usual Chanel...
This may sound odd, but here goes. I have noticed in various threads that several people are against various brands for reasons other than dislike of a product or the price.
I have a...
Terre d'Hermes does not count as it is available as an EdP.
Interesting you should say that as I tried to do that in Rome a couple of months ago. I went into several stores, including Sephora just for kicks to compare the selection and could not find anything...
I am 28 years old and just bought AdP Intensa a few weeks ago and picked it up blind and I love it. I have a lot of frags that I just like, this is one that I really love and it makes me feel good...
I don't keep my empty bottles, let alone the box.
I remember someone on here posting that Zara Sprint 9 something or other smelled like it. I can't vouch for that and have never shopped at a Zara store but someone posted that quite often.
Comme DES Garcons.
Bond made me cringe.
I was going to say John Varvatos. Good stuff that can easily be found on the cheap.
Agree times a million.
Wow, I didn't expect to see this thread bumped but I am glad it was. I am still in the same position as my initial post. I just mentioned this the other day at Nordstroms to the SA I bought the new...
Not quite sure what to think of this but Ginger sure seems popular for flankers these days. Dior homme sport, Burberry sport, now this.
I have seen stranger behavior on the net than going to a site to see what some random guy is wearing. If you want to become terrified at consumerism, go on YouTube and view a 'haul' video. They are...
Well I own this now. The Nordies I went to said it flew out the door. Only one left after I got mine.
Not yet. It tells me it won't ship until the 22nd, before that it said the 11th.
I don't have the slightest idea what that smells like, but Quicksilver has a cologne that is prominent sandalwood. I rather like it.
I wear Black Orchid VdF all the time.
I disagree with this. The last thing you want to smell like is a dirty rockstar. I own this but think it a bad choice.
I was thinking Tom Ford or Prada ApH.
Plus a thousand on all counts, also add the following
"just bought x, is it fake"
"what would insert fictional character here wear"
I know many of those stores quite well.
Also, yes, Chez Bond is almost a dead knockoff of Green Irish Tweed.
I have been ripped off twice on eBay. Both were fakes, bad ones.
I am glad to see I am among like minded people here. I have had problems where I find a brand I really like and then go to buy it a couple of months later and it disappeared. I use Zirh, Clinique,...
I have been experimenting the last few months with blades. I don't like any of the five blade systems, they are too wide and awkward to use. I also read somewhere that the three blades are better for...
For me is is Green Irish Tweed and Grey Vetiver.
Green Irish Tweed. Can be classy, can be laid back, has a metallic note to it.
Fluid Iceberg. The only bottle I ever threw away. Would be to embarrassed to give to someone else. A true blind buy gone horrible.
This whole post is asinine! The Raiders have not played in late January in forever!
Add me as the third for Burberry Brit.
I buy most things blind. Green Irish tweed, Terre d'hermes, John Varvatos, Acqua di Parma, Himalaya. All bought blind.
They would never include such numbers as I am sure such things change more often than even we can imagine. I am sure they change suppliers all the time in search of cost savings.
What service pack is Creed Aventus on now?
I do actually like a couple of their products, nothing against the product. But sometimes I have to ignore the added cheese when ordering. Niche frags should not come like happy meals.
I can see that very easily being the case. From the personalized bottles that can have your name on it to the various city exclusives, this brand seems to have no shortage of circus tricks up their...
I would agree, I would stick to Le Labo directly. Heaven forbid some 18 year old makes your order and ruins it at Barneys.
If you have ever purchased any clothing from that store you will know Fiere very well. I bought a jacket for my brother as a Christmas present and it made the area around the Christmas tree sell like...
I thought Le Labo frags were mixed in store? I can imagine a possibility of them being quite different depending on where you buy, depending on how accurate the person behind the counter is on...
DFS is owned by LVMH, owners of Louis Vuitton, Sephora, Dior, etc. I can't imagine they would tolerate a fake in their stores.
I second that Ulta should have it, mine does. It also makes sense that this is often in duty free shops, I just got back from Europe and Sephora still carries it there.
In Russia, cologne smells you!
Sorry, could not resist. Interesting to read about though.
And upon reading your username I feel you are trolling.
Putting "fly honeys" in a post instantly invalidates your opinion in my mind.
Another vote for Bang, I liked it immediately when it came out and bought a bottle. I did not care for the Beat, actually passed up a bottle of it at TJ Maxx the other day. And it was cheap...
I was at Selfridges the other day, I was expecting the Tom Ford counter to be bigger after all I have read about it.
I was going to say none as that is what I practice on flights, but I do have to agree with the post above. I can't tell you how many flights I have been on lately with a family of four slamming down...
I am being serious. If you continue to post these kinds of threads, you are begging to be questioned like this. You can ignore me all you want but I am sure I am not the only one thinking this.
Yes. I believe the other day you were returning fragrances you liked. Where did this one fit into that? Why didn't you spare one of the others and return this. And why was this purchased if you...
Why did you buy it then?
Stop splurge buying and you can afford a Creed.
How come you were too broke to buy Aventus and had to return used bottles to get it, and yet we have another thread about what you are buying? How are you affording this one?
Maybe that money would have been better spent on what is in the bottle.
I love the idea behind this thread. After all, not all frags are great, not everything is wine and roses. Without crap fragrances we would not appreciate the good ones. Having said that I would like...
Bad year for me I guess, nothing really blew my mind this year. I still bought some, but I can't think of anything that I could not live without.
+1 from me!
I agree with the recommendation on BC. I actually bought French Lover blog and sold it here as I did not care for it. Bought BC and could not be happier.
He is not strapped for cash to eat, or make a car payment, or pay for his mother's kidney transplant. He is doing it for an expensive fragrance. Let's put things in perspective.
Posting in epic thread.
Also, people who return like that all the time just leads to higher prices for the rest of us.
Must just be me, I don't see the A men comparison however. I guess more proof we all get something different out of each scent.
I keep sampling the new John Varvatos and it reminds me a LOT of Le Labo patchouli 24. Has anyone else tried both of these and can comment? The both have a creamy patchouli that I find very very...
I agree with this! I read that above and did a double take. I like it, but I just get mint.
I saw that the other day at TJ Maxx and wondered what it was like. Good thing I passed on it.
A Men. I own it but don't wear it past my front door.
Yes, I am very limited on what I can get at home. The closest halfway decent retailer is two hours drive, so a vacation is a good time to try and buy. I bought some Frederic Malle last year on...
Should have been called stillborn.
I never understood the Burberry London love on here, perhaps I should revisit my bottle.
Today I picked up:
Bleu de Chanel
Later in the week I will be back for:
John Varvatos 10th Anniversary
Another plus one for Roadster here.
That is odd that my wardrobe is not showing, I just checked and I DO NOT have it set to private. Odd, but then again I have been unable to visit the site since posting this update. Rather than...
I have planned a trip to Europe over the Christmas holiday this year, will be spending most of my time in Germany. Now the question is, what one bottle do I take? Feel free to browse my wardrobe, ...
Clinique Happy does that for me.
I picked this up blind as the closest Bloomingdales is a six hour drive from my house. I am impressed. I have zero issues with longevity, I could smell yesterday's dosage this morning before I took...
I will throw my hat in here as another who has been duped into buying fake "testers" on eBay. I ran out of Tom Ford and Prada ApH and purchased each bottle from a different seller. The bottles were...
About a year ago I purchased a refillable bottle of Amber Pour Homme by Prada. I already had a bottle of Aph but wanted a spare one and thought the refillable was a cool idea. I knew several women...
