F.Malle Portrait of a lady
I'm not sure if one can classify it as underrated, but in comparison to its more talked about cousins, it doesn't receive that much of a limelight.
It does get its fair share of love and respect in...
Try both before buying.
I would choose Aventus.
Try out Black Saffron if possible, I guess you'll like it the most amongst the Byredo range.
Best byredo for me, is Black Saffron.
Raspberry, leather and saffron constitutes this one.
Pulp is also a good one, although not that versatile. Wouldn't want to smell like a ripe fruit basket...
Good to know. I've taken part in a split for it, really curious about it now :)
Really wish to try this one.. and the color looks fantastic.
How does this perform on you guys?
Two sprays from my decant bottle lasts me through the day at work. Anything more becomes nuclear in the office.
13W01 batch. I just wish it weren't that fruity.
For the lovers of TL, please try rasasi's La yuqawam.
Its the closest one can get as a TL for a reasonable price.
Extremely strong and potent, just like TL..
Reflection man was the worst blind buy for me. Had to rub it off and it wouldn't go away, had a headache for a long time. Glad I only bought a decant.
I can see Jub XXV as a good blind buy, however,...
If you love tv, there's very little chance that you wouldnt like TR.
In terms of similarity, I would say 80% similar to tv, tv takes the vanilla route while tr takes the honey route. Performance...
For noir de noir and plum japonais. Oud wood too.
I kind of imagine green irish tweed working well in your case.
Sorry to bump this thread like this, but is world duty free the only store there at heathrow which has the tom fords at discount? Are there other stores as well for the tom fords?
Bumpp... Looking for byredo bal d'afrique
Bump... Also, partials of git welcome..
I'm looking for full/partial bottles of Noir de noir, Plum japonais.
Preferably 50 ml (1.7 oz) bottle or 100 ml bottle with box.
Shipping to conus.
Sorry to bump this up like this, but i've been looking to buy tuscan leather (either 50 ml or 100 ml) in its bottle (not a decant).
Can anyone help me in finding a good deal for it? Would like the...
There's a lot of white chocolate in it. Dior Homme and all are much more masculine than coromandel per se.
I find it very hard to carry it off.
Mont Blanc Individuel - Original Santal
Mugler cologne - Original Vetiver / Neroli Portofino
Meharees - Musc Ravageur
Dolcelisir - Ambre Narguile
Perry ellis 360 red - ADG
and many many more...
Thank you caferacer!
Btw, found this on ebay, seller has high rating and volume.
Looking to buy a 4oz GIT, can it be found for below 140 usd ? I'm not sure if I'm looking at the right places..
Never tried this one. Is it similar to any other mainstream fragrance? The op mentioned a similarity to dhi's drydown?
I'm in the same boat as you are
Why not wait till u get it since you've already ordered it.
Enjoy your purchase :)
The juice color looks nice.
Hoping to see a front facing pic soon and some information on the notes.
Dhi is one of my favourites. I do not consider this to be more feminine than masculine. Depends on how you carry it off and whether it suits you as a person and your nature(tastes vary). Adore the...
How does it smell like?
My vote goes to both git and bdc.
However, how is the longevity of both , compared to one another?
haha! If only the rumours were true
3 sprays from my bottle does the trick. Four becomes heavy.
Thank you red! :)
I wish ahs lasted long on me. Unfortunately it is a fleeting one on me, and so in that case this one wouldn't remain long on me.
As much as i like a scent, it's a shame when it...
Dont mean to hijack this thread, but how does the cologne perform as compared to ahs in terms of longevity and projection?
Also, does this cologne smell similar to dior homme cologne( don't like...
As a fruit- Apple.
As a perfume comparison - TDH by miles.
I think GIT would be better at this point. Spring time and all.
As it is, we have so many fakes here in India. It's hard to find reliable discount sources here. I would rather go to the chanel boutique and buy from there than to risk buying a questionable scent...
hahaha! nice story!
Though honestly, didn't your head get heavy with all that ?
How many sprays do you use while testing?
That would help in judging the longevity and projection.
Maybe because their reformulations are just as good , if not better. I prefer the reformulated versions of DHI and DHS as compared to the originals.
Majority of the reformulations by other houses...
Join the facebook groups where people sell their bottles and all. Git is often seen for 110-140 $ for a 4 oz bottle.
Else you can check fragrancenet. Plus if you can host a split or get in on one,...
Is sycomore preferred for winter over summer? I think it could do good for summer as well.
Cheese ? No.
Had a tester sample, sprayed some today.
Very strong fragrance. Great longevity and projection. But, I hate the scent.
Smoky, medicinal, animalic oud. And it's causing a headache....
Oh, sorry. My bad. But that's still a great deal :)
Royal oud is frequently found for 130-170 dollars for 120 ml on facebook groups.
Same goes for all other creeds.
No point paying retail for creeds.
May i suggest trying this one out too :)
Its a recent release by bond and seems to be getting good reviews
Dislike: Eau sauvage original, fahrenheit 32, fahrenheit absolute, dune.
Meh: rest of them.
Haha, okay i get it.
All these samples itself mustve cost a lot if you bought them from websites like stc, tpc etc.
Its a pity that your first part thread is not available, only one page is...
Commendable work on the reviews!
When will you start purchasing full bottles ? I'm guessing you'll keep on sampling and later on will be tempted to buy them all.
Adore DHI and love its drydown. My most used fragrance in winter. Niche quality at a designer price and i find it much more versatile than lidge.
I find lidge to be a mature scent and didnt get...
I found the 2013 one to be very sweet. Haven't had a chance to test much, so cannot speak about the longevity.
How is the longevity and projection of the creation 2013 edition?
I thought the original l'homme smelled like a sporty active fragrance itself. Original had pathetic longevity, cannot imagine what this sport 'lighter' flanker would be like in terms of performance.
Your thread is an amazing read! Had a nice time reading your reviews. I can only wish for you to keep sampling and reviewing. :)
I admire TDH as a scent, its a work of art. The first time i smelled it, it reminded me of dry earth (bitter citrus). When i sniffed it after few months, i didnt like it as much. The dirty bitter...
30 ml fake, that too of chrome? I don't think so.
Plus, Chrome does smell like soap to me!
Cool water and ADG mostly.
Somehow the current formulation of Fahrenheit doesn't seem to last long on me. I had high hopes for this one, being a parfum concentration. But after reading the above reviews and impressions and...
Am I the only one who doesn't like this? :lipsrsealed:
I found this to be a bit too strong (in a dark manner) and couldn't imagine myself wearing it. I don't know what it was in it that made me...
Tried it once, was okay. Neither too bad, nor too good. The opening was better than the drydown.
Though to be honest, I don't really remember how it smelled actually except for the top notes which i...
When I first tried Blue, I wasn't too impressed. It smelled a bit too generic though a good quality generic, as compared to the likes of egoiste, pour monsieur at the chanel counter. However, after...
I wish CPM orginal had better longevity ! Its a fantastic scent, no wonder it is so highly ranked even now. However, its a shame it doesn't last long. I've held back my decision to purchase it...
I don't find any art in it. The original bottles are way better, or for that matter, artistic?
Ohh, alright. I would be very interested in knowing the differences with regards to the current version of fahrenheit.
I seem to be in the same situation as you for LIDGE.
+1 to that! I would really be interested to know about the formulations of Fahrenheit.
And not to forget, thank you for the article!
DHI + one spray of Bleu de Chanel.
DHI and MiP should work better comparatively on younger (relative figure) men and I can imagine LIDGE working well on slightly older men.
I Love DHI, and like MiP and LIDGE, but I always reach out...
I would suggest ADG Essenza
You could try out Allure Homme sport, Allure homme sport edition blanche, ADG, Cool water, Aqva, Bleu de chanel.
Any of these, if you and your budget approves, will be good for you imo.
Jabong has a nice collection as of now, snapdeal.com also has a decent collection. Flipkart I feel is a bit overpriced.
Any idea if places like shoppersstop ever do discounts during sale season in...
Thank you guys for your responses :D
You guys are so helpful!
Okay, so Play Intense isn't good on longevity it seems as per the feedback :(
I'll surely check out fahrenheit, it seems interesting...
Thank you for the wonderful responses :)
Unfortunately, Nautica Voyage didnt last long on me.
Haven't tried Platinum Egoiste, isn't it a mature frag?
Anyone else with some more information in...
It projects for 2 hours on me,and then becomes a skin scent for 4-6 hours.
I thought about that and asked one of my friends few days back, even they couldn't smell it after 2 hours.
My skin isn't exactly the dry type, its more of oily (atleast my face and neck).
I've been lurking around this forum for a few days, and I could see that we have such an amazing community over here
I haven't posted much yet since I'm really new to...
I'm new to the forum and I'm from New Delhi.
As for the websites, I've bought perfumes from yebhi.com and jabong.com.
Good price and one can use coupons sometimes to reduce the price....
