    L'Artisan's Havana Vanille (Vanille Absolument), though discontinued, is a nice heavy vanilla.

    Hermes' Vanille Galante (discontinued?) is also very nice, but much lighter.

    For "a bit deep, a bit dark" fall/winter I think Mechant Loup is worth checking out. I would not call it dry, and like most scents, I do consider it to be unisex.

    I've tested a couple of samples, and indeed L'Humaniste would work. The gin accord works well to make me feel cozy in colder weather, while the citrus has a refreshing cooling effect in warm weather....
