Re: What's definitely masculine is.. grossness?

    I keep reading that here.
In Dubai, such scents seem to occupy fairly minimal shelf space -despite there being a huge number of Middle Eastern shoppers.

Two Good Things About Joop Homme Extreme.

I bought Joop Homme Extreme the other day and so far have found two good things about it.

Firstly, my wife likes it and doesn't bitterly complain as she does whenever I wear Joop Homme.

    Re: Joop! Homme Wild

    I think it's a great scent.

Over at Badger & Blade they're forever on a strange quest for the best Bay Rum scent. I think Joop Homme Wild is far more interesting than Bay Rum scents.

    Six sprays...

Re: Why is there no thread on Davidoff Echo?

Fragrantica classifies Echo as a Woody Spicy scent, and describes it as follows.

"Echo is Davidoff’s sixth fragrance, launched in 2003 and oriented to middle aged men. The fragrance includes...

Re: Jil Sander...any men's scents worth owning?

I quite like Sun Men (a better version of Boss Elements Aqua) and Sport for Men (same sort of style as Clinique's Happy).
The aquatic Pure Men is an odd scent - it seems to die off on me after a...
  91. Re: Cheap 80s powerhouses - One Man Show vs Krizia Uomo vs Oscar Pour Lui vs Tsar vs Aramis vs etc

I don't think Tsar qualifies as a powerhouse.

I own both the current one and the one in a different bottle from 13 years ago. The current one lasts longer than the older one did on me. I'd rate...

Re: Original Santal: an opportunity wasted

To me, Original Santal was always a softer, gentler, more wearable version of the harsher, super stregthed Joop Homme.

And now, I view Joop Homme Summer Ticket as the gentler, less sandalwood...

Re: Unisex, or... is it, really?

It is not uncommon to have inferences made about the wearing of scents being associated with being girly or effeminate.

The responses are pretty straightforward and vary from,
    " Feel free to not...

Re: Unisex, or... is it, really?

Thanks. If you can find it, check out Villoresi's Dilmun.

I think it the oddest supposedly unisex scent I've ever come across. A fellow Basenoter kindly sent me a sample. I thought it was a tad...

Re: Unisex, or... is it, really?

My experience was very much similar to yours with a very large number of other niche scents which were supposedly unisex (e.g. Etro, SMN, L'Artisan, Villoresi).

Up until then I had only ever tried...

Does your husband actually want a deodorant stick - which does not stop perspiration, like an anti perspirant would?

Designer sticks are fairly expensive and most don't stop perspiration, as all...

Re: I really don't know what fragrance to buy!

    Paris Hilton For Men.

My then 17 year old nephew found it to be the No.1 hit among girls in his age group, far better than any of the 70 other scents I'd given him (many of which were far more...

I don't care about the boxes.

My system is fougeres in one drawer, chypres in another, ambery orientals in another (spicy orientals in an open box within that drawer), ambery fougeres in another,...

Re: Dolce & Gabbana Pour Homme INTENSO is finally out

I saw Intenso today in a discount chemist going for A$65 (US$49) for the big bottle..

Longevity appears good - it is still going with some strength on my hand after 6 hours.
    And it certainly...
