    Re: Tom Ford Tobacco Oud

Oriental Woody definitely covers this one.
  5. Re: tom ford tobacco oud, or tobacco oud intense?

They're certainly both in the same ballpark, but I'd suggest trying both out fully before investing in one.

That being said, Tobacco Oud Intense is also my favorite Oriental of all time and is...
  6. Re: Is there a "fresher" version of Tuscan Leather?

Believe it or not, MAC Ruby Woo is very similar to Tuscan Leather but with a black cherry note instead of raspberry. Super cheap too!

I'm also a huge fan of Voyage d'Hermes. A am positive this will be recognized as a classic in the next decade or so!

Re: Jo malone cologne intense MYRRH AND TONKA

My guess is that you smelled Orris & Sandalwood. I personally happen to love Myrrh & Tonka, the longevity is great and the dry down is this amazing amber/wood/tonka that always gets me compliments....
  13. Re: There are cheap, not famous, fragrances, that you love to wear?

I'm a huge fan of Lanvin Avant Garde. I have $300 dollar bottles of fragrance galore but this (which you can find for around $25) does it for me every time. And always gets complimented!

    Re: Fragrance for work

    +1 for Individuel.

I don't wear it personally but my brother and a handful of others say it's a great smelling and performing cheapie, especially for work use.
  15. Re: Going on a date tomorrow Dior sauvage or ysl la nuit de l'homme ? HELP!

I second Diamondflame! But also would consider the setting. Anything for the daytime, I'd probably lean toward Sauvage. Nighttime (out for drinks or dancing), a little bit more for La Nuit.

    But...

    Re: Modern Pine Scents?

    +1 Tom Ford Vert D'Encens

Very green pine opening supported by incense and a balsamic heliotrope base. Very unique and a top performer in my book!
  17. Re: John Varvatos Dark Rebel And Dark Rebel Rider?

I'm a fan of Dark Rebel for sure. Behind the heavy birch tar top and leather heart there's a classy fougere that makes wearing it more comfortable. I agree on the longevity statements but if you like...

Also going to throw a chip in for Ombre Leather 16. I would say get your nose on that and Tuscan Leather and pick your favorite. Good luck!
  27. Re: Need some violet/violet leaf recommendations

If you can, get your nose on Kiton Black. Especially if you're a GIT fan. Really strong violet note up front.
  28. Re: Italian Cypress Tom Ford - ages and styles

  32. Re: Jo Malone *Which are the most masculine must-tries?

  34. Re: Unknown abbreviations on current ingredient lists

ILN stands for Ingredient Label Number. It's a way for companies to be able to track and reference the ingredient label listing. You'll see that each product from TF has a different ILN number.

  44. Re: Tom Ford Italian Cypress - should I blind by it?

As one of my personal favorites of all time, I would definitely recommend a purchase. I don't draw similarity to GIT at all, so I wouldn't worry too much about overlap in your collection.

Re: A masculine Le Labo for spring/summer

I'd be surprised if you didn't walk away with Bergamote 22. Don't let the name deceive you, there's much much more than citrus going on. Give it a try on skin before making your choice.
