Gucci Pour Homme II
Those three by a country mile. All signature scents for work and casual daily use
midnight in paris is not light
my lighest would be l'humaniste by frapin or gucci ph2
I love the smell of gucci envy me 2 (green bottle) although I think its discontinued
Any introductory books on learning the art of perfumery that you can recommend?
Hey guys I love reading and I love fragrances
Which fragrance books are must reads? Give me a few titles and I will compile a list of what you guys mention. I'll buy books based on the frequency...
I always say perfume now instead of cologne and I find that embarrassing when the person I'm talking to immediately gives me a look like wtf.
Maybe I should just say fragrance
I have cosaque too, I don't like it though
+1 for 1725
Get both you won't be disappointed
Gucci Envy for Men :)
That was probably me.. sorry
Gucci pour homme ii
Chanel would be cool
As a young man myself, I would recommend that my friends and peers smell:
Dior Homme (for dates and formal wear)
Frapin L'Humaniste (for professional situations like school or work, and summertime...
Remik is splitting Heros you may be able to sample or get the bottle still.
Nice pickup on Coriolan! :)
It's awesome. Love it. Probably top 3
I haven't smelled M7 Absolue or the original, but I can attest to the fact the Burberry London is absolutely perfect for this time of year and is so very affordable.
Why not both?
I'd probably wear l'humaniste or reflection man or dior homme. something pleasing and inoffensive
+1 Acqua Viva
Stuff is beast, and so nice
PG Coze is real smooth to my nose
I like unscented (marketed as sensitive) antiperspirants and lotions so as not to compete with my perfumes.
As for scented products, I love candles!
I like diptyque, yankee, Odin 01 comes in candle...
1. Creed: Green Irish Tweed or one spray of Royal Oud
3. Heeley: Oranges and Lemons.. or Cardinal
4. Amouage: Reflection Man or Memoir Man
5. Tauer: No
6. Atelier Cologne: Vetiver Fatal
My thoughts based on sampling, written down for your info
Mona di Orio Oud - Beautiful floral oud, too expensive to purchase
MFK Oud Cashmere Mood - Oud mood series was boring to me, wouldn't...
My mother bought aventus at Harrods and brought it back to Canada. But the first of my purchases was reflection man in Vancouver at the perfume shoppe. I love them both and we're safe introductions...
advice: stop blind buying and start sampling! for price of one niche let down bottle you can sample SO MANY great fragrances. sampling is the biggest thrill of the whole hobby for me, I love...
Invasion Barbare is a masterpiece that can be worn in any setting you can think of and I'm looking to purchase a bottle. It's a spicy lavender that remains soft and dry.
1725 is a clash of vanilla,...
- Dior Homme
- Angel Men
- Chanel Allure Homme Edition Blanche
- YSL L'Homme
- D&G The One
- Hermes Un Jardin en Mediterranee
- Bulgari Eau Parfumee au The Vert
- Gucci Pour Homme II
That's funny because I find Dior Homme very masculine and a lot of the girls I've worn it around give me very positive feedback. My 64 year old father also thinks it's manly enough for him and...
I also get good feedback, but I just can't stand APOM on myself. I don't enjoy orange blossom very much
because when a woman buys you a bottle you wear the shit out of it
Because perfumery is an art and that's why I sample and sample and buy the pieces of art I love the most.
Blind bought Gucci ph ii, absolutely unreal
Where can I get one?
- Tom Ford Private Blend: noir de noir
- By Kilian: straight to heaven
- Creed: royal oud
- Amouage: jubilation xxv
- Xerjoff: nio
- Frederic Malle: geranium pour monsieur
- Profumum Roma:...
They're definitely overpriced, but richwood is fucking beautiful. Closest thing to luxury I have smelled
Tried from a sample vial, I like the smell a lot, it's very unisex with the subtle florals in the top and heart. Doesn't project that loudly.
I'd say it's better than MFK's oud but to me they're...
Pure Havane baby!
Get sampling :)
Dior Homme, forever the winner..
Reflection Man, Ambre Narguile, Idole de Lubin, and can't forget Aventus (my new girlfriend goes nuts for it)
I would definitely buy:
Invasion Barbare + Bust
Roja's Amber Aoud
Clive Christian C
This is disheartening as I am still looking to purchase a bottle of SDV, but if they are poorer in quality then I don't know which vanilla I feel matches SDV..
Vanille by Mona di orio is nice I...
One spray on the chest under the shirt works for me too. Pick an appropriate social setting to wear it. I've never had a bad comment from a friend on tobacco vanille
L'humaniste if one of my favourites in my collection, however my new girlfriend says I smell like Abercrombie when I wear it. Ohwell I wear it for me more than anything.
This will not make you...
Histoires des parfums
My 5/5 designers:
Gucci pour homme ii
Don't like it, will sell my 50ml bottle. Pm me.
Montales fougeres marines
My creeds, diors, hdps, are all fantastic
Set sail st barts
L'humaniste is beautiful. Just carry a small atomizer with you to fix longevity issues
Just sayin, but my 30ml bottle has a silver sticker on the front
Coze is beautiful, if I had the coin I'd have a bottle
Sampling mfk apls before bed, don't like it
Sampling frank no 2. I like it
+ Idole de Lubin EdP
I'm going to wear a lot of ambre 114 and tobacco vanille this winter
Bleu de chanel and try to sniff out Dior homme and see if you like that
Acqua do gio and 1million
Yes, blue amber is very potent! Good juice
Midnight in Paris
Back to Black for sure
I agree with sales associate, spray on your skin. 2-4 sprays depending on potency. The fragrance develops and you do get a lot more from it I find
Get a decant of noir de noir
I had a sample of menthe fraiche by heeley, and I think it would match what you're looking for. Although I'd wait for the warmer weather to roll around again
I got a very faint sandalwood scent on my skin. Wore it to school and it got noticed which I found strange because I had to bury my nose in my forearm to get a whiff. It's oddly beautiful but not...
Guerlain Homme is very nice, and I'm currently looking to get my nose on SDV, Cuir Beluga, and Tonka Imperiale
No creed limits my post but I can safely say l'humaniste by frapin is one of the most complimented scents in my collection
I think if people at your school aren't threatened by a man that looks and smells good then Dior homme would be perfect. You have to dress the part though, no baggy pants and nba jerseys with this...
I've sampled both and it eats me up inside that students can't afford a bottle of either.. One more year..
Purely because these are masterpieces:
Parfums MDCI Invasion Barbare
Tauer L'air du Desert Marocain
Tom Ford Oud Wood
Histoires de Parfums Ambre 114
Also between your two choices, I'd go Tuscan Leather
Smelled lartisans premier figuier and also figuier by heeley. Between the two, I preferred heeleys figuier
Yeah give them multiple chances. Lots of them will grow on you!
Bulgaria aqua and Kenneth Cole reaction
With 20% off it was still worth it to buy and ship to Canada
Thanks for heads up!
2x DEMETER THUNDERSTORM
and send me one too :D
Really, you cannot go wrong with this advice, and I feel this solves all "which of these two?" questions.
Go out, smell, and sample them! Enjoy the adventure of testing and getting to know them :D
Cannot say for Kyoto, but Jaisalmer would do between 7-10 hours on my skin. Check out their base notes pages for some short reviews. I would bet someone mentions it for Kyoto.
I sampled both of these in Vancouver. Heard of Kyoto online and went to sniff it out. It was pleasing and I did enjoy it. But then Naz at The Perfume Shoppe insisted I smell Jaisalmer next and it...
Ermenegildo Zegna - ZegnaIntenso
Comme Des Garcons Incense Series - Jaisalmer
A nice incense like Jaisalmer or Jubilation XXV
Also 1725 by HdP! BUY IT!
Dior Homme Intense
Been said to death, but New Haarlem by Bond No. 9 really is a great night out scent and fits your winter request perfectly. I always wear it to the bars. Grab a sample if you...
For salesman work I recommend
Creed: GIT, Aventus
Amouage: Dia, Reflection, Memoir
Guerlain: Only smelled Tonka Imperiale and although I do love it, would recommend above fragrances over this one...
Best bang for your buck:
1725 by Histoires des Parfums
Something about it that doesn't sit right with my nose.
I have had compliments while wearing Brooklyn, but it gave me a headache every time so I gave away my samples of it.
have to go with a fougere to be successful year round
amouage memoir man
histoires des parfums 1725
amouage reflection man
montale fougeres marine
out of those
i feel reflection...
