    I had both and M7 for me is unique -- Fresh was a less heavier, more user friendly version and I preferred it.

    I haven't come across a fragrance that reminds me of it.

    Cloying is the wrong term -- that implies a sickly sort of sweetness that doesn't go away. That is almost the opposite of what you are describing.

    I think 'metallic' is closer or maybe 'hissy',...
