IMO - no. Aoud Night has noticeable amber and sandalwood notes lacking in Black Aoud which gives it a different dry-down. Also they don't smell the same to me.

Just read about these a few weeks ago. Some sound interesting.

I haven't had any performance issues with the original which I purchased when it first came out nor since then with ones I've tried in brick & mortar stores. Just my experience.

Don't watch fragrance videos so wasn't aware of this happening, but it wouldn't surprise me.
