Sixteen92 is running a BF deal.
Is there a way to get a sample of both still? If so, please PM me!
Great, I'll have to check it out. Have you ever tried Salem? Looks fascinating!
I'm preparing early for the best season of the year. What are you looking forward to sampling, wearing, etc that's come out int he past year?
I love the notes and idea, but my experience with indie perfumes isn't that good. Any niche recommendation?
(serious) unless you amplify the heat you emit in the area you're rubbing through friction then no.
Montale's Chocolate Greedy
Anything will do :) Let me know what you have!
They sound beautiful. Thank you!
Thanks hednick :) I'll take a look!
Been awhile for awhile, looking for some of the new top fragrances released since last year. Thanks!
This will be the first split I run of many on here. I am going to split one 50ml bottle of Avignon into nine 5ml spray bottles only for those in the United...
I'm selling one 3.3ml EDP spray of Manor and two 3.3 mls (total of 6.6ml) of Smoky Mountain Mallow EDP.
It cost me $30 so I will let it go for $20 shipped.
But Kouros is a laughably odorous, old man 70s smell that wreaks and is made cheaply. Smoky Mountain Mallow is $75 for 60ml and smells heavenly.
Try Sixteen92, Solstice Scents, Arcana, Deconstructing Eden, Haus of Gloi. They're wonderful.
I agree. I've become board with many of the brands routinely talked about here. Sure, they're...
Ever since I checked out indie perfumers I have not gone back. My favorite house is Solstice Scents. Amazing compositions that come with a story.
If you happen to try it please let me know what you think :)
Awhile ago I purchased "Feu de Bois" because it was recommended a lot as a great campfire smell. Unfortunately, it is extremely weak and overpriced.
A few days ago, I was in Savannah when I...
Espresso Royale, no doubt.
I smell peach, but this is a tea fragrance for me, just Slumberhouse's version of it. It's intriguing
Trying to figure out if I can detach it to do the syringe method of decanting. Thanks!
Espresso Royale is my favorite scent. Made from an indie shop.
Use them as lights.
EDIT: nextlevelpowerliftin is me on reddit
Add me down for 25ml of Aventus with Friends/Family option. I'll PM you this, too.
Without a doubt Espresso Royale.
If you don't mind, please state which fragrances reflect the seasons best:
Fall - Espresso Royale. Comforting espresso on a cool chilly day.
Winter - Messe de Minuit. Isolated in a Church...
Espresso Royale = coffee beans
Ambre Narguile = cinnamon apple pie
Kerosene Unknown Pleasures = fog machine's fog
Muscs Koublai Khan = diaper feces

Very interested in this if it is at a competitive price. Thanks!
Aventus. Far more versatile, genuinely appealing, and won't make someone not Oriental look strange for wearing it.
A smokey, warm, cinnammon apple pie.
My buddy is looking for one. I recommended:
Messe de Minuit
but am having trouble thinking of others that may fit. What would you say?
EDIT: Now he just said "sensual...
I did not purchase anything either. Nothing he's decided to do lately invites me to support Slumberhouse. Let's see how he changes it up.
Hell, I'm still looking for my holy grail of a combination of Amber Narguile and tobacco in one scent :(
Their store is excellent, you'll have a lovely time. Very mature feeling, with a lot of different perfume brands, too.
Went to NYC and stopped in to smell some of their work. Wow, it's absolutely stunning stuff! I especially enjoyed Magic Circus, it was darkly enchanting.
Messe de Minuit
Too strong of perfumes.
FYI, Josh said Sova is going to retailers with Sadanne very shortly. Doesn't know what's in the pipeline.
Have not, will put it on my list! Interestingly, I was very excited to try "Chene" by them after reading it is comparable to the smell of firewood burning in North Carolina's Fall. Yeah...not even...
Apparently :) I've tried many "gourmands" and I'm still looking for that ONE that is both a gourmand yet Fall.
Sova - FALL, but TOO HEAVY.
Bois Bond - "hay" but too dry
Chergui - Ideal in...
Hey all, I went from owning 40+ fragrances to three. And I've sampled over 100+ additional.
Only ones I genuinely enjoy:
Amber Narguile - Absolutely love it
Messe de Minuit - Gorgeous, "apple...
Fille by Serge does, as well as Chene :)
I sampled Slumberhouse Baque. It's a very boozy, Fall-ish gourmond in the Slumberhouse vein. Not animalistc, not an open field, nor a farmhouse. It's more a barrel of alcohol with honey. Pretty good,...
Talk about an extremely passionate, diverse independent line. Their fall candles are to die for - VERY potent, cute, etc.
Listen, I'd love to write a favorable review of his scents. I've had a total 180 on them. It's odd to me that unless you write favorable things you're perceived to be a bad individual. Isn't...
Hmm, what about the end for you?
Josh's issue is that his fragrances are "art for arts sake" and people buy it purely on the "hipster niche perfume" appeal the shop has. It's the craft-beer of perfumery - many interesting styles,...
Not enjoying it outside of its opening. The "ash tray" vibe comes up too fast.
I like gourmands, too. None of them do it for me.
Any tobacco only fragrances out there as to not blend anything else other than the one note?
I'm looking for something that has:
as a base. The "apple pie" vibe Amber Narguile gets is seductive, amazing, but I want it a TOUCH more masculine.
I've tried Or Du...
Currently, I'm experiencing a sort of "falling away" from them. Only a few are completely intoxicating to me - Ambre Narguile, Back to Black, Messe de Minuit, Espresso Royale, New Haarlem. I suppose...
From my experience, and this is coming from a fan of the Fall, horror movies, haunted attractions, etc - it isn't wearable. While fully representative of the season, it's too pungent and...
I know exactly what you mean! And your description of saying the perfume "stews" is great. I recently sold a bottle on here, hated to see it go.
And that's what is going to hurt Slumberhouse. They're unique, but their schtick will get old (if it hasn't already). Notice less discussion, realization Zahd is cherry medicine, lack of updates on...
For Slumberhouse, you literally have to look at it as avant-garde art. They're NOT wearable.
It's phenomenal. let me know what you think.
Which perfume season is your favorite?
I need a signature Fall fragrance. Chergui lost its charm because it's too "powdery" for me. Looking for Fall in bottle, but not a gourmond (Ambre Narguile takes care of that).
Hermes Ambre Narguile
Agreed. Glad to see Basenotes are realizing Zahd isn't the "GLORY FRAGRANCE" the hype made it seem. It's cherry medicine in a perfume.
I'll chime in my opinion, but I hate XXV, too. It's EXTREMELY oriental, and doesn't fit my "image".
I shy away from dominant citrus/vetiver Spring fragrances, and haven't explored much of floral. After sampling Xerjoff Nio, I'm flabbergasted that I cannot find a genuinely unique, appealing...
Trust me, you'll regret it. Smells like feces.
I love it. Full bottle worthy.
I have only experience with masculine fragrances. The two requests are:
1) An "appealing" vanilla scent that is wearable all seasons
2) A fragrance that wears closer to the skin, is unique, all...
Winter: Tobacco Vanille
I need a Spring fragrance! Recommendation?
ClaireV, GREAT review.
And not because I am selling one, but I do like New Haarlem a lot.
Two seconds for me.
Engin by MadHat Scents
Thank you all so much :)
A more prominent cinnamon.
Remik, thank you so much! Very kind of you! Please post your opinions on what you receive!
L'eau de Issey
that's abou tit.
I'd imagine it'll be something with tobacco and leather, but I hope it can be genuinely appealing at the same time.
Americana Rust - Imagine yourself riding besides a tobacco field in the middle of rural North Carolina. It's a beautiful day in the Fall, nearing dusk, and you're needing a quick rest. As you pull...
Heeley Menthe Fraiche
There it is.
