Hello all - it's Dream Awakenings by Mary Kay for me today.
Chantilly and Halston are always well priced, and I have both.
While I go through scent stages, eg from greens to orientals, or light florals to something quite musky, it doesn't seem to relate to my hormones, or headaches.
Fleurs de Rocaille
I really must order the sample set too to make a decision in regards to Ormonde Jayne's beauties.
While I think I've tried a few over the years via sample, the only one I clearly remember is Tolu,...
I often choose not to buy a perfume because it doesn't have a body lotion and matching deodorant spray and/or shower gel, so yet, this does affect the way I purchase.
It's L'heure Bleu for me today. *I own the large bottle of the edp, but had actually forgotten I owned the body lotion too - it was a double blessing to apply both and be surrounded by this aroma on...
I find out Bambou by Weil has been out since 1984. * Others I love from the 80s are
Fahrenheit for men
Well, we even have Giorgio
Must de Cartier
Niki de St...
So my pic must go? *This is a test - nothing may come up
Ha - nothing came up - must try again, I am a little lost at the moment. Hi everyone
Here's some notes I have on both:
THE ORIGINAL: Fleurs de Rocaille "Rock Garden Flowers" the original - 1933. A light sophisticated floral.
Description 1: Jasmine, violet, orange blossom, rose,...
Have to admit I enjoyed the shopping trip with every line that I read, LadyL.
THAT's the way to go perfume shopping, whether you buy any or not, you had a ball.
Just thought I would mention a friend who loves both Chanel 5 and Allure also loves Prada, if that helps.
I love the smell of Byblos, but it's not often that I actually feel like wearing it. I'll tend to grab for something else in preference. I have no idea why. is it too strong on me? Too sweet?
While I still don't like perfume bashing threads, I have no problem with someone saying a particular perfume doesn't suit them - but to imply noone likes it is so often rubbish.
Here's my list...
My, I keep hearing about this scent. A friend has it on her wishlist from hubby for Christmas.
I am starting to get quite intrigued. Thanks for the write ups.
Proactive is certainly selling well in many countries, so it must be working well on a lot of skins - yes I guess it depends on the type of skin, the type of pimples/acne problem you have.
Tig, I love positive red - it stays true to the colour of the lipstick and doesn't go blue on me at all. Thanks for the fantastic tip.
Too late for me to vote too - but I'm not a Chanel gal.
Ladylonestar from my understanding, Proactive has a fairly good success record for stopping pimples, removing the scars takes a stronger product.
Sorry Tig, I meant to say Dior Addict's Positive red - I don't know why I put chanel - I was probably looking at some of them on ebay as well.
Tig I just won Chanel's POSITIVE RED on ebay for a couple of dollars - used, along with another chanel colour that I know is not me (fuschia optic). .....but for a couple of dollars it's a good way...
Same as Tig, as soon as you put them on and they've turned. Sometimes they burn, sometimes they smell musty or 'off'.
I've had this happen to an old favourite recently that went in the rubbish bin.
One I have sampled, that Iâve never forgotten for women is ElizabethWs Magnolia (I have not bought it yet)
THIS IS MODIFIED - I double checked a program I watched where a treatment is proving effective for acne. Ê It's called Mayerling. ÊYou can look at the photos on this site
My head is abuzz with all these names, trying to work out which ones are warm reds.
Loney I agree loreal's 410 volcanic is 'just a bit lighter' than I'd prefer - I've been hunting for Tig's...
I have no problem telling a person what I'm wearing - whether they like it or not - and what the answer might be is up to them to tell me if they want to.
Either way - I'll take it as a compliment...
Ladies - Ceruttti Image
Men- Fahrenheit - Christian Dior (another one highly favoured)
Obsession for Men

Oh, I've just read through all the red posts - yes I remember those little Avon samples. Actually Avon have stopped making 'Firecracker' red which used to really suit me too, and not turn blue - now...
Ladylonestar, what a compliment - I do have thin lips and can't wear the lipstick too dark, but I DO love Volcanic 410. ÊNice to know you own it too Ê;D - occasional twins.
No, today they are lime green, along with my nails. Now there's a change (but keeping with Christmas colours)
Of purchases, I've probably worn Pheromone more than other purchases this year (of which there were only a few anway).
Another I love and find myself 'saving for special occasions' is Blue Sage by...
.............and cedriceccentric is tempting me on the write up on Fidji
I had 'red wave' toenail polish put on about 3 weeks ago - and it's still in perfect tact - rare I must say.
The same on my nails chipped in a few days, but the toes are lasting.
I regularly cover my arms in body lotion in particular - and my body lotion range varies from cheap to expensive - most seem to work. Some smell better than others, some soften better than others.
My first nail colour was cutex pale pink shine - i still like the colour and they still produce it.
Best Facial Skincare product: Avonâs Maximum Moisture Super Hydrating gel ö itâs the only moisturizer my facial skin is not allergic to
Best skincare range: St Ives, for their cleanser, facial...
I recently purchased online Shiseido's Zen perfumed radiance body creme.
I must say it IS a good body creme, softening the skin and definitely exfolitating a little too.............as for...
Best women's fragrance launched in 2004: Yohji Yamamoto pour femme
Best women's fragrance (ever): White Linen
Best women's fragrance packaging: Essence of Jerusalem
I don't often wear foundation, but when I do, it's called Expess Make up 3 in 1 by Maybelline, the Colour is called Nude/Nu. It's on a wind up stick and I presume the 3 in 1 deal is, it's not heavy,...
I have found a wam red that doesn't go blue on me - Loreal's Color Riche - called Volcanic 410.
A cheapy that's not bad is Avon's Colourtrend Lipstick called "Rustic Brown" - it's a warm coral red...
,,,,and Fufu I had the same trouble as you - that horrible weight down feeling with most products - that's why I'm suggesting the above - hope this tip helps.
Fufu my hair ends are very fly away - what i am trying is using 2 things to get it to work - buy a 'leave in conditioner' (yes you don't wash it out), as well as a hair spray.
A number of...
With very sensitive face skin, I've tried many creams, cleansers, moistuzers, just willing to pay for something that doesn't cause a bad reaction.
it has been the cheap brands that have won over...
