Aventus but l'Nuit would have made me hesitate a bit more.
I believe you won't be disappointed with three you chose. I myself have fallen in love with Creed's Original Vetiver and can't stop wearing it to work at the moment. Clean refreshing and a definite...
Sounds very interesting. Thanks for the heads up for a new item from Mancera.
I don't believe I could do one fragrance for five years but if I could Serge Lutens Ambre Sulten would probably be my pick.
I hope it's in the mold of Opus VI. So far it's the only Opus that I remotely like.
Interlude Man is my #1. Jubilation XXV has been growing on me lately. I will have to try Epic Man.
Agree with the bottle as a work of art it is one of my favorites to look at in my possession. My favorite from Amouage smell great and lasts eons.
La Nuit without a doubt. The ladies love it.
Still haven't tried the Mancera offering just yet. I hope to very soon. Aventus has been a favorite for me.
MI by a long shot on me. Both very nice frags in their own right.
Fille en Aiguilles Serge Lutens
It was a hard decision I really like VE but Musc Ravaguer by a nose. Please pardon the pun.
Very good to know. I am a big SMW lover.
I am hoping to pick this one up this coming year.
Yes they did. CBS news showed they were in the midst of giving the Mayor the man of the year award as all this unfolded. How ironic.
A great fragrance. But Bentley Intense and Eau Sauvage parfum for me
That crazy Tuesday at Fragrancenet with the Amouage blowouts Memoir Woman 1.7oz Extrait for $78.00 and Interlude Man for $85.00 for the big bottle. Unconscious savings. Late last year at a clothing...
Obsession in a run away.
Interlude Man by far for me.
Great pickup. I know this will be a winner for you.
You absolutely hit the nail on the head my thoughts exactly. Oh by the way did you survive the Ice Storm? A friend of mine was one of the lucky ones in Atlanta his commute home only took five hours...
Opus VI by Amouage
I am trying to find the comparison to Opus VI and at the moment I can't see the similarity to my sniffer. I do like both fragrances and I have been wearing Opus VI lot lately. My though has been it...
I be around it's in the blood isn't it? Keep your suggestions and analyses coming. They have always been very compelling.
A very under the radar house which doesn't seem to be compelling to many on these boards. To bad really because this was one of my first treks into the niche world. As noted above Ambre Preceiux is...
Yes, like I noted to dougczar I just needed to step back a bit and really enjoy what I have. Thanks again for the Hemingway suggestion it still is one of my favorites. L ' Humaniste is on my short...
Hey Doug I have been still in the game but a little muted lately. I still enjoy reading the boards with your thoughts keep them coming. I just haven't been thinking I could offer much in content to...
Wearing Opus VI today and I absolutely love it. At the moment I enjoy it's aroma over Jubilation XXV. But they are both very good scents and I really like both in their own way. The original amber...
I keep most of mine in a wardrobe which seems optimal to me. My Dad passed in 2001 and I inherited his Gucci Nobile amongst others and it is potent and splendid today as it was back then.
Beauty Encounter have always been A1 for me. I wouldn't worry a bit.
Most houses are unisex and for good reason. I just don't think division should be made anymore. If you enjoy a scent you shouldn't dismiss it due to it's labeling just enjoy.
Platinum Egoiste is a very clean and versatile wear for me. I have been wearing this and Creed Original Vetiver out lately. To be honest I just haven't connected to the Allure line of Chanel just...
Ambre Sultan Serge's best IMO. However, I have been entranced by Amouage Opus VI lately.
I love so many Amber fragrances in their own way.
That leaning on other members responses on scents have proven immeasurable in my fragrance journey. I look forward each and every day to choose and enjoy selections that I wouldn't have imagined...
I totally understand your thoughts on backing away with a huge arsenal to work down for a while. The past few months I have bought more than I could possible use in the next decade. I am now inclined...
Chanel Platinum Egoiste
1740, 1899 and Ambre 114 seem to be my personal favorites from the house. Longevity is excellent and have been compliment getters around the office. Parfum1 is running a 20% off if anyone interested...
Red Vetyer easily the best longevity and scent to me.
Blue de Chanel, VIW, MI, Acqua di Gio and Bergamoto Marino
I love VIW and it is my go to frag when visiting the Caribbean. I haven't tried Coccobello yet.
Royal Oud nudges out Memoir Man for me. Both very fine fragrances in their own distinct way. As a side note I prefer Memoir Woman to Man by a great deal.
Very we'll done. I'm checking my local store out tomorrow.
It was GIT by Creed off fragrancenet.
Wow! We usually stop around Macon on our exodus south to Fort Lauderdale. Is the Marshall's close off 75?
A great buy indeed.
Also, Memoir Woman is in extrait and it is intense with one spray that last all day and we'll into the night.
D - Dune by Dior
Vetiver Extraordinaire & Musc Ravageur are my next purchases. The samples I had were perfect for me for my daily requirement in a close knit environment.
EDP is the only one I have and it becomes a skin scent fairly quickly but the longevity is very good. One of my favorites.
Platinum Egoiste by Chanel
I really like 1270 from the samples I have nearly exhausted. Definitely, a Boozy Cognac Plum match going on. A very pleasant scent that has taken me aback the more I wear it. I have not been taken...
I feel the same with MI also by Creed a very good spirit lifter when it's grey and dreary outside. Promise of spring around the corner.
I liked that feature also. I hope something similar may be re-instated in the future.
S - Silver Mountain Water by Creed
Got it as a Christmas present and have wore it a few times already. It is very nice.
Amouage Opus VI
Y - Yachtman Blue by Puig
1270 by Frapin
Yes a heart felt Merry Christmas to all and the very best for the upcoming New Year.
All great selections. I love MPG's. In response to Bentley Intense smelling similar to a MPG I haven't found one that is similar but I haven't tried all of them just yet so one may be lurking that...
I really have revisited this fragrance lately and really enjoy it.
Jaipur pour home is awesome a must purchase.
Hello Wirral Guy Maghull guy here and the answer is no. Aramis 900 is a great fragrance but it's a relic from the hairy chest days. So a sample would be in order as it is very potent.
80 pounds is near highway robbery. I would definetly look at the discounters.
Sand Aoud by Mancera is very good. Technically, and it really doesn't have oud listed as a note but Royal Oud by Creed is a charming fragrance.
Mood usually directs my selections. I have toyed with doing a house a week or the same primary notes for a week etc. I sometimes like to play a little game with it. But most of the time mood. I will...
Always use three for this one. Generally on my chest under my t-shirt. Seems to last for me this way without offense to others.
M - Millesime Imperial by Creed
Creed Millesime Imperial
I - Imperiale Guerlain by Guerlain
Original Vetiver by Creed
D - D by Dunhill
Original Santal by Creed
Lazy description or journalism. It's happens unfortunately. I wonder how people can claim it's the Holy Grail until it's actually available to the masses. Marketing gone Wild.
Dior's Eau Sauvage EDP and Malle's Vetiver Extroadinaire(hard to beat even though you have it already.)
Red Vetyer by Montale is very stylish in it's own right.
I have had two bottles and haven't really discerned much difference like others have. The scent itself has been very enjoyable to me. I do like the prominent pineapple vibe perhaps over the smoky one...
I do hope you enjoy it as much as I have. It has been my most used fragrance since I received it. I will need to explore more of this house this upcoming year.
Y - Yatagan by Caron
Frapin's Caravelle Epicee
Silver Mountain Water by Creed
Ambre Sultan by Serge Lutens
Gengis Khan by Marc de la Morandiere
Interlude Man by Amouage
1899 Hemingway by Histoires de Parfums
T - Tabarome by Creed
My top Amber. Wonderful spicy opening and the longevity is epic.
Fille en Aiguilles by Serge Lutens
Sadly, I am not familiar with Zino. But I can tell you Aramis 900 packs a punch with near unrivaled longevity the batch I have is from the mid eighties and I have used it off & on since that time...
Awesome dynamic duo. I'm not talking about Adam West & Burt Ward either. Great scents congrats!
Well that's very compelling. Essenza Nobile has that one I think and I am sure it's cheaper than buying stateside.
I am very surprised at all the unscented responses. To my knowledge I have never utilized an unscented under arm deodorant. I must check into this further. I really don't think my colognes compete...
I have started to explore Nivea a bit more. I really enjoy the sensitive shaving gel. I am still on the fence on the shower gels but I will say the body lotion that is unscented is great. So overall...
I will have to look into this as I am a huge hot tea drinker at least two to three time a day perhaps more in the colder months. I am a big fan of Top Gear UK version and Clarkson and May always...
Nivea sensitive skin is outstanding to me. I also have been using a sample from L'Occitane called Cade and that has been a great experience lately for me.
Excellent products. My skin can tell he difference especially in the cold weather. The added moisturizers in the Age defense body washes keep my skin fresh and elastic not dry and static.
Welcome and good luck on your adventure in fragrances. As Renato suggested your tastes do change when you get familiar with the less than mainstream offerings.
Fresh of the fresh if your willing to pay a little more Silver Mountain Water by Creed. I don't think Macy's have it but very easy to get online.
A & F Fierce would be a decent pick. But the YSL L'homme would be fine. I really prefer the YSL LaNuit and so do my boys 28 & 24.
Tough call I would take the former over the latter if indeed it does compare to LeMale. So Tonino it is.
I have heard good things about this one. I think it's Jack Hunter's favorite also. I have also heard this is a patchouli monster in conjunction with the Amber is that true?
Me too. My next purchases will be two Malle's Musc Ravegeur and Vetiver Extroadinaire. They also were very nice in gifting me for my Birthday yesterday a Euro discount. Great people to deal with a...
N - Norne by Slumberhouse
I do like it when I sampled it at Sephora but for me it's a low priority for a buy at the moment.
