  1. Re: What was the last fragrance you had to scrub off, or at least contemplated doing so?

Another vote for Caron Un Pour Homme, and even Egoiste, believe it or not... too sweet on me.
  2. Re: Which cologne go's well with your deodorant?

I was going to go with unscented, but then I bought a stick of Dove Extrafresh (Men) the other day, and I find the clean-cloud it creates blends nicely with whatever frag I wear.

    Scent preference and age?

Hi all, Izzie's thread about house preference got me wondering: how do your scent preferences change with age? What mainstream frags did you like at 20 that you didn't like at 30, 40, 50 vice versa,...
  4. Re: Another date thread (for the complete fragrance novice)

I know a guy who owns Terre de Hermes and he smells amazing. I'd go with that. Good luck on your date man, things will look up for ya :)
  5. Re: New here I may need some suggestions for winter/fall fragrance?

I'm not sure if the privacy policy allows us to post websites or not, but fragrancenet.com or fragrancex are both very good.

Re: 'I only use 1 or 2 sprays.....' Huh??

I always go with 1, maybe 2 if I'm going to see friends, and that's plenty. With 1, I've gotten compliments in bars and clubs pretty frequently, and putting on 2 is just a gaurantee that everyone in...
  7. Re: What other expensive hobbies do you guys have besides collecting fragrances????

Tennis, badminton, and squash rackets + accessories. I recently bought 150$ worth of strings and grips and am loving them. Why are all my hobbies so expensive? It's probably just me...
  8. Sticky: Re: Men's sample swap thread

Sounds like a great idea! I'll try to contribute after I get a small collection started.
  9. Re: Delving deeper into the fragerence world, looking at buying the following:

Alright, I'll take you up on that then ;) It would save me a fair bit of money too.
I'll try to find samples for the ones you suggested, fit. Thanks for the recommendations!
  10. Re: How expensive a hobby is this? (Addressed to enthusiasts)

I'm following all your advice (thank you very much :)) and I've got some samples headed my way. I find it completely true that your taste can change very rapidly once your exposed to something new,...

Ah okay, great to know! Thanks fit :)
  12. Re: Delving deeper into the fragerence world, looking at buying the following:

^I took that advice and actually ordered a sample pack of 8 of the most popular scents.
As I said in that other thread I started, I would have loved to do a split with someone for any of the Creed...
  13. Re: How expensive a hobby is this? (Addressed to enthusiasts)

Thanks a lot to both of you. This community is actually pretty great. I would LOVE to do some splits to get my hands on some of the Creed scents, but I read people with fewer than a certain number of...
  14. How expensive a hobby is this? (Addressed to enthusiasts)

I'm seeing posts from all you connoisseurs who have tried and have developed opinions on pretty much every cologne a given person mentions. My question is, how big is a small collection, a decent...
  15. Re: Delving deeper into the fragerence world, looking at buying the following:

I'm in Quebec, Canada. Montreal's sure to have some good stores, but pretty much the only place with colognes in my city is the pharmacy/zellers/sears :p
  16. Re: Delving deeper into the fragerence world, looking at buying the following:

Thanks for the advice, I'll keep Curve on the list. Unfortunately, the site I'm ordering from doesn't have the original Le Male, only terrible and gladiator. Are you sure PE Red would match up to...
  17. Re: Delving deeper into the fragerence world, looking at buying the following:

Thanks a lot for the feedback :)
After some more reading around, I decided to cut Chrome, as it seemed pretty average. I think I'll wait on Rive Gauche as well, given your advice on it being more...
  18. Delving deeper into the fragerence world, looking at buying the following:

    Hi everyone,
This might be a bit too much detail for a lot of people, and for the tl;dr version, I'd appreciate any advice on the colognes I'm thinking of buying. I'm going to give a fair bit of...
