Really? Didn't know that. I guess it could be real then.

OK, here it is: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/251006010672?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1438.l2649
Thank you for the info.
I'm looking at Spring Flower. It is an Ebay seller (100% positive rating), says it is an unwanted gift and the starting price is quite low, £40.
Am I completely naive...
I was wondering if anyone can help me with this. I'd like to get a Creed perfume from an online seller but need to check if it's a real deal first. What do I ask for as a sign of authenticity?
Comfort: Flowerbomb Extreme
Thanks for the comments guys.
In the end I bought the 'vintage' one from Ebay. It is lovely. I have to say I find it different from the current edt and more similar to the current edp. Very...
I would like to buy a bottle of Paris for my mom and I have found a bottle on Ebay in its old packaging: black and pink. I was wondering if anyone knows when the packaging was changed into the...
That's great, enjoy your collection. This thread is about keeping things under control and getting to a small number of bottles, for whatever reson.
I'd use the remaining perfumes first. I normally don't count backups if I already have a bottle of that perfume in use.
Well done! You seem to be doing really well.
[QUOTE=Beauxbatons13;2257466]sorry for revisiting an old thread but what about doing a project pan for your fragrances? QUOTE]
Oooooh, I like this idea. I've done the hit the pan project with...
In Croatia too. I just couldn't wear it for that reason.
It's been a while since my first post on this thread, so let's see what I've figured out.
I have quite a conservative taste. I enjoy sniffing all sorts of things but don't enjoy wearing perfumes...
I haven't been on the forum for a few months now and in that time managed to get to 15 bottles. It feels great. I have no no need to buy anything at the moment either. I think I could easily reduce...
This month I got:
Blackberry & Vanilla Musk #9
Midnight Poison (2 bottles at a clearout)
Can't wait to try it.
Maybe we both have bad taste LOL.
I think it is very difficult to find a vanilla based perfume that doesn't smell like cake, and that's why I like this one.
You're hilarious :-) I agree that it is amazing and that it doesn't count as masculine. That's why I used it as an example of 'almost' getting to men's scents, at least half way, ie. unisex. All my...
Hmmmmm, I don't think it's for me. The closest I got is wearing Bulgari Black, which I bought for my husband. I like how Terre d'Hermes smells on me but I just couldn't wear it. It's beautiful but in...
A few years ago I had the Eau Legere version and did not like it at all. Citrus and vanilla were very strong and the combination just wasn't right on my skin: they didn't really mesh into something,...
Phylosikos by Diptique is a very realistic fig.
Chinatown is fruit and sugar overdose.
Escada has a limited edition summer fruit salad every year.
 Thank you guys!!!!
I was really annoyed when I couldn't list all my bottles in the wardrobe. I feel like it's not real if it's not in the Basenotes wardrobe LOL
Some people have an additional list above the wardrobe with fragrances that are not in the directory. How do you do that?
I have a suggestion for a cheap little thing that smells like suntan lotion and coconut. Avon Tahitian Holiday. The opening is not all that great but once it settles it gets much better. Perfect for...
Was wondering if anyone can let me know how to add perfumes to my wardrobe when they are not listed in the directory?
Also, how do we add them to the directory?
I bought Plum by Mary Greenwell yesterday.
It's georgeous! Yes, it is fruity but it is a grown woman's perfume (nothing girly here!), very longlasting, powerful and elegant at the same time. I have...
Another fan here.
It is a proper, grown up perfume. I don't mind the fruit when it is well done, which I think is the case here. I think I will invest in a bottle soon.
Ah yes, nice one. I agree that it is sexy and vulgar, but not in a bad way.
Prada Infusion d'Iris perhaps? Kenzo Flower is also powdery and light.
That's the one I ordered! I can't wait for it to arrive.
Really should try Bronze Goddess. Is it available all year round?
Nice stuff suggested above!
Listen, it's just a shop. No reason to be intimidated. People working in such places tend to have a bit of an attitude and look you up and down, but...it's just a shop. If it helps, dress up a bit...
I'm another fan of your reviews.
I've had enough of winter. Rain, snow, cold, gray sky... I'm dreaming of a beach, sunshine, palm trees, freshly squeezed orange juice, of the way the air smells in the summer. I've started craving...
Oh no, but in a non-alien context ;-))))))
For a fruity floral with a twist I suggest Yvresse. Absolutely lovely.
I like Cinema in edt.
And Opium is she is a fan of old school orientals. (I always makes me think of Bianca Jagger. I'd love...
Glad you enjoy it :-)
The name Alien immediately makes me think of X-Files and aliens Mulder always stumbles upon. (Aaaaaaaah, Mulder...)
I'm also not interested in perfumes that have been heavily reformulated (except Mitsouko - so georgeous and I can only imagine what the vintage stuff is like). Like C Rose I don't even sniff Carons...
Yay! I thought I was the only one and was afraid people would comment that I'm nuts LOL
For example, I like T. Mugler's "Alien", but the name? I mean, I can't even put it into words how...
When I don't like the name of a perfume I'm not interested in trying it. Silly, I know, but that really influences my decision.
at the moment I have 21. I think that most I've ever had at one point was about 35. Not a big collection but it's not what i need.
I think 15 would be a nice, managable number for me as...
I haven't. I actually don't want more perfume, I want to seriously reduce my collection and not buy anything for a while.
I don't have much compared to most people here but the number is still...
it's great that you are enjoying your perfumes and that they are also a kind of investment. I like the image of a fragrant savings account :-))
Happy New Year everybody!!
How are you doing? Any crazy resolutions like "I'll never buy perfume again until I use up everything I have"?
I have almost reached that point. My collection is getting...
I got my husband interested in perfume and I always look for new things for him. If he likes it I then get it for him because he wouldn't buy them on his own. So, he wears Lolita Lempicka au...
I might have a morning and afternoon/evening scent. Maybe No.5 for the morning when I'm in church, so I don't suffocate people around me, and because it is such an elegant and festive scent.
I haven't decided yet. I've been really enjoying LouLou lately, it's perfect for the cold winter days, it warms me up. Maybe that will be the one.
What about you?
It is very sweet, has a chocolate note. I'm not crazy about it although it is definitely an interesting perfume. It wouldn't hurt a collection.
Definitely. I've been going through my wardrobe and doing the same thing.
Hmmmmm, not a bad idea. But I'm feeling really restless at the moment and need to get rid of stuff.
I've enjoyed reading this because I don't have a perfume that makes me feel sexy. I'll try some of the mentioned frags.
I think Michael by M. Kors comes close, which is strange because I'm...
I love getting rid of things. It really is liberating. At least once a year I go through my things and end up giving quite a few items to charity. it is nice to have less and not be suffocated by...
I just had enough the other day and decided to sell some bottles on Ebay. I have perfume that I like but don't love and don't wear that often. I have perfume that sits neglected because I feel I...
Got Belle en Rykiel yesterday. Great deal on Ebay, couldn't resist.
Wearing Angel on this snowy, cold day.
Chinatown x 11
Angel x 6
Mitsouko x 3
Juicy Couture x 2
Idylle x 2
Infusion d'Iris x 2
Jungle L'Elephant x 1
No. 5 x 1
Dolce & Gabbana x1
I got No.5 in edp.
I'm so glad that several people have enjoyed this experiment. It seems that we've had similar experiences: enjoying to know a fragrance better, but still not opting for one signature scent.
My mum now wears Coco, Mitsouko, Paris, Yvresse, Jungle L'Elephant.
No idea what dad has at the moment. He normally has several perfumes in his wardrobe.
that's really interesting, I had the same experience with Chinatown after a week - I wanted to carry on wearing it. I definitely feel more attached to it after a week of wearing it.
This is very funny :-)
It's definitely not a classy scent (but not trashy either), there's a lot going on, it is super strong and has the mot wonderful sillage. I love it.
Donna Karan Gold is a lovely floral based on lily. It has excellent sillage and staying power.
My mum likes similar perfumes to yours (adores Coco) and one of her favourites is Kenzo Jungle L'Elephant. It's a bit of a weird scent and many people don't like it. But give it a try, you never know.
Jungle L'Elephant is one of my favourites!
Le Tigre has been discontinued :-(((
Jardins de Bagatelle
Bvlgari Rose Essentielle
I've had a headache for the last two days so couldn't wear Angel. I'll put it on tomorrow and see how I feel about it.
I can't wait to try it, sounds wonderful.
I found them in Glasgow too. Not exactly norht of England but close :-)
Shalimar is great. Good choice ;-)
Day 3 of Angel and I'm still doing ok. Although I have to admit that last night I sprayed something else on my wrist, to test it.
I've also been carrying with me blotters with different scents and...
be strong LOL
I've been wondering about the same thing. My collection is not massive but still I feel overwhelmed on occasion. Up until 5-6 years ago I would only have a small number of bottles in my collection...
I've been looking at my collection and wondering what to choose for my next scent for a week project. I have a few that I haven't really worn properly and haven't figured them out.
I think I'm going...
I think a summer version of the frag is perfectly acceptable.
I think I have a problem smelling certain perfumes. I never know if they've dissappeared from my skin or not and always ask my husband to confirm. I think my skin eats fagrance because even Angel is...
Go girl ;-)
I still haven't decided which one is next. Wore Mitsouko today but couldn't do it for a week. I don't dress up every day and this is not a casual scent for my current stay at home mom...
Some of my friends think I'm hilarious because of my little hobby.
It seems quite a few people are game for this. I'd love to hear about your experience. We can revive this thread in a week or start a new one.
I think I'll repeat the experiment with another...
Inspired by my favourite perfume blog the Perfume Posse and their experiment of wearing one perfume for a week, I decided to do the same. I was curious whether I would be able to resist the...
I really like the brand, which is strange because I normally don't like rose perfumes. I own Miss Charming and Citizen Queen. Miss Charming is the prettiest fruity floral I've ever encountered nad I...
I got Prada Infusion d'Iris today. wanted this since it was launched but it never reached priority status on my wishlist.
It's perfect for cold weather, love it!
Got Shalimar on Ebay!
This amounts to 5 purchases on EvilBay in one week. Have to slow down a bit...
I went Ebay crazy this week and bought Jardins de Bagatelle, Eau de Shalimar, Idylle and J'Adore.
Hmmmm, what's trendy?
I'd say Flowerbomb is very popular, Narciso Rodriguez, Coco Mademoiselle is still going strong, Pink Sugar, Daisy, Angel,... I'm sure there are others that qualify as well.
Do you like any of the trendy ones that everybody seems to wear at the moment?
I have to admit to having a soft spot for Juicy Couture. I smell it on very young women a lot but it doesn't bother...
I can't imagine Chamade on a man to be honest.
Your first post immediately made me think of Shalimar. Their last limited edition, Eau de Shalimar is light but still complex and I find it very pretty. Wore it all summer.
Parfum is georgeous and...
I love wearing perfume at home. I have a few bottles that are for lazy days only. They are cosy and sweet and I wouldn't feel right wearing them out. It would be like leaving the house in my PJs.
Chinatown is finally mine :-)
It was on my wishlist for far too long.
Not sure about exact numbers but I wore Eau de Shalimar most.
I have to start keeping a SOTD journal...
That's lovely :-) glad your little one enjoyed the massage. I plan to start with it next month.
I agree completely with this. Babies smell wonderful on their own.
The scent I received is by L'Occitane. Suposedly it has some soothing properties that are good for baby skin.
But I think I'll...
I recently had a baby and received a fragrance for 'mothers and babies' (says on the bottle) from a friend who shares my love of perfume. I think the idea is kind of cute but at the same time find it...
Eau de Shalimar today.
Wearing Angel today.
Tried it twice so far and it's an absolute no for me. I found it really unpleasant. The notes just didn't sit well together on my skin and the whole thing was just weird (in a bad way).
I got Angel today.
Ok, so I bought a bottle today :-)))
I ended up buying the non-refillable flat star in the end. And also a 15ml mini to take with me just in case I need to reapply during the day.
(OK, I'm NOT...
[QUOTE=Divatologist;1912906]I actually went through 2 refillable bottles. I always got them refilled in the store. I found the top for the Angel bottle was too hard for me to get off on the 1st 2...
I'm going to take a look tomorrow and see which shops sell it :-)
Wearing Miss Charming today.
