If I use more than 4 I feel guilty...
Creed Silver Mountain Water. Lotsa Creed on this list today.
Oh that's good news. I might get the Patou PH reissue there. Also, I'll need the name of that restaurant with the steak sandwich...
Invasion Barbare EDP 2.5 OZ Bottle with cap, tassel and box. 99% full, used only 2 or 3 times. I ship to USA and I accept paypal.
God Bless, Chuck
Bentley for Men EDT
All great suggestions...you guys are awesome! I'll have my two teenage sons and wife in tow so I'll have to just hit the highlights and places that are centrally located. I'm going to try and limit...
Wow! Great advice guys. I'll try to soak it all in, and at the same time pick up a few bottles to symbolize the memories.
I agree with all that. It's a Dior Homme I can wear through the summer. And yes, it does last forever...on my treadmill this morning I could still smell the Eau that I had applied 24 hours earlier as...
That's cool! Maybe I could try and buy the Oud Wood while there. I actually thought Frank LA 1 or 2 might be good picks to buy while in LA.
My family is planning on spending about 9 days combined in these two cities in June. I'd like to pick up at least one scent from each city to serve as olfactory reminders of the trip for years to...
I have no burning desire for anything right now. I am amply stocked and my money can go to better uses at the moment. That's for today, anyway.
Dior Homme Eau
I'm wearing this today. I like that it gives me a sweetish semi-oriental option for the warmer months, but it's still a very fresh smell. Also very different from DHS 2012 which will also serve me...
Probably one of my wife's very favorite scents on me. All time good stuff.
I wore CK One Shock for Men today.
You're probably right...I've been living quite well without it! This is a first world problem to be sure, but we are on a cologne website, so I have free reign to whine! Lol!
In all my years on basenotes, this is the one scent that people seem to have the most difficulty in offering a comparison scent as a point of reference. I'm speaking of the re-issue.
One day I...
Bond No. 9 Chez Bond
I keep wanting one of the MFK scents, but I always put it off. Probably for the best.
That bottle looks awesome.
Creed Original Vetiver. I live on Augusta, the Masters just started, and it just felt right.
CK One Shock for Men is a really nice one. I just bought a 3.4 OZ for $24.99 the other day. Reminds me of a Bond type of scent...and that's a compliment.
Dior Homme Sport 2012. My wife really liked this one this AM.
Oh well. Life goes on.
I don't have a freakin' clue as to what's next.
I got some nice compliments on this in the past. A twenty-something assistant at the Optometrist office really liked it.
Bentley for Men EDT
I received two in the mail yesterday. Bentley for Men original and Dior Homme Sport 2012.
I also shipped out around 7 bottles I sold off for cash. I love moving bottles in and out!
I wore the original men's version yesterday. Great smell, wish it projected better. It did take off again when I ran on the treadmill last night. 10 or so hours after application.
CK Euphoria for Men
Bleu de Chanel
Great job! Wish I could quit sugar...or at least cut back. Cologne and sugar, my biggest vices.
Both are strong. That's about it.
I felt froggy and went on a Calvin Klein spree today. 3.4 OZ bottles of Euphoria and CK One Shock for Men. Bought them at Ross for $39.99 and $24.99, respectively.
Lord willing, I'll be there in June. I'm interested in hearing these answers. I also plan on going to scent bar in LA.
3 is the way to go.
Creed Millesime Imperial
Prada Luna Rossa was my choice for a morning presentation.
Love me some TDH, but I sure don't need it lighter!
Acqua di Gio Essenza
Riding a lull right now. Kind of happy with the old wardrobe ATM.
The scent itself has never made me angry. Many have made me nearly ill. A few have made me melancholoy.
Marc Jacobs Bang
No, but right now the transition from winter to spring type scents is a challenge for me. But a fun challenge to be sure.
Givenchy Gentlemen Only
Hermes Bel Ami Vetiver
Good Life was a very interesting scent. I remember when you could find it at discounters.
I'd buy the Patou PH reissue because I am intensely curious about it.
For once, I agree. Chanel is the best source.
I wanted to like Vera Wang Men, but I swear it almost made me sick. Loved the bottle, color of juice and concept. Smell was headache inducing.
After about 15 years I have fallen out of love with GIT. Just does not ring my bells like it used to. So I sold it off. I have found that I am not very loyal when it comes to scents. When I get tired...
Gotta go with Creed 1849. Not that it stunk per se, but I expected better. Sold it for a small loss, bought Invasion Barbare. Much happier.
After wearing Aventus for the past three years, I finally came to the drawn out conclusion that I just don't enjoy wearing it that much. It is a scent that others have often complimented on me, but...
Bleu de Chanel. I seldom wear it, but when I do I am never disappointed. Very nice on a casual Friday.
JPG Le Male
Making fun of your customer base is pretty harsh, too. But firing is uncalled for. A good verbal reprimand would be appropriate. I have 300 employees...I hope they never talk down to people. That's...
LIDGE is probably my favorite scent period at the moment, not just Guerlain.
Conducting job interviews and meeting with a judge. Creed Green Irish Tweed for me.
If we're paying upwards of $300 for a product, they need to be pretty darn tolerant of nonsense, IMHO.
Yep, that was me. Creed has had a great supporter in me through the years, but their reps can be flat-out rude. They're still my fave house, but c'mon man!
Remember guys, I got done the same way by a Creed rep at NM in ATL about 3 weeks ago. Totally dissed basenotes. I was insulted on all our behalves.
So while Bond has their nasty ways, so does...
I just got a big "You smell good!" from one of my HR employees. LIDGE was the culprit. One of my current favorites.
It smells really nice, but it is extremely subtle. Could use some amping up, but then again that might ruin it.
Early AM Burberry Brit
Evening Creed Aventus
Even in Georgia, where it was 80 today, I know we've got some 50 degree days forecasted for next week. So I can't do a full changeover yet. I wore invasion Barbare today. I loathe cold weather and we...
It's a fickle beast for me. I haven't had a consistent bottle in years.
Invasion Barbare. Great scent if I can just make peace with its subtlety.
Last Saturday I bought a Ralph Lauren sport coat, 2 Calvin Klein dress shirts and 4 new ties for $107 at Dillards.
Wore this today and enjoyed it a lot. I can still smell it over 12 hours later, and my wife complimented me on it. Great buy for me...others may hate it!
Burberry Brit. Little 1 OZ bottle.
The batch I gave my son (1 OZ bottle) got me many compliments. There has been a noticeable drop off in the compliments my new batch (2.5 OZ) gets me. I am tempted to wear it for like a week straight...
Yep. That was an easy one. Smelled a little too "medicinal" for me, though.
I wore Gianfranco Ferre Pour Homme back in July of 1991. Brown/Black Bottle, Orange/Bronze Glass.
Today, hmmmm...I'd probably go with Terre d'Hermes.
Interesting that both of these scents...
Dior Homme Eau. It's really 75% Fierce/25% Dior Homme to my nose...and I really like it! Very versatile. It will be interesting to see how it holds up over the day.
Your first two are spot on IMHO.
Creed Himalaya. I finally reacquired an excellent bottle of this.
Bond No. 9 Montauk
None for me, but my QA Director got complimented for his Burberry Brit during our Leadership meeting this morning.
Guerlain Homme L'Eau Boisee. Smells very good, but I wish I had worn something more weather appropriate. I was fooled into thinking we would see the sun today by our local weathermen. Should have...
Ok, OK, now I'm done! I just bought PDN New York from a fellow basenoter. NOW, I'm stopping.
I'm wearing Creed Original Santal today. Yet another too cold for GA day. Yeesh. Where the crap is Spring?
It seems sweeter to me.
I bought Hermes Bel Ami Vetiver from a fellow basenoter today. My total bottle count stands at 31, so I now have to CHILL!!!
Nothing this weekend for sure!
I have to say I agree. I enjoy Noir de Noir much more than I do Aventus. Now what other people prefer on me is probably another matter entirely. My wife likes them both.
Could be. To field test a little, I wore it to church this morning where I knew I'd come into close contact with many, many people. Zippo.
My first 1 OZ bottle of Aventus got me tons of compliments. My newer 2.5 has had a few, but not near as many. Batch differences? Maybe.
Bond No. 9 Bleecker Street
Acqua di Parma Colonial. I've missed this one being in my collection. Very solid work and church scent. Old school Hollywood in a bottle.
Bond No. 9 Montauk. I wanted a fun, happy scent for Friday...and I nailed it! First time wearing it, and it has a very positive vibe to it.
