Oh you're right. Way more niche scents in the EDP section.
Oh good so Howard might not hate all frags; it's just that Mambo stinks.
Is it Kouros-esque?
It's Ronnie's signature scent. I have no idea why.
But these lists are based on actual sales. These are the frags people actually buy and wear.
And who is wearing Kouros? I haven't smelled that on anyone, ever.

FCUK HIM is a top selling frag!!! wow just wow!!!
- - - Updated - - -
Ronnie the Limo Driver from the Howard Stern show apparently bathes in it, and Howard is repulsed.
What does it smell like?
I wouldn't have purchased it the first time.
Today I took the time to smell the twix bar I was eating. I actually put it up to my nose and smelled it like it was a fragrance, and it blew away any chocolate gourmand you can think of. A simple 99...
No stickers? Well they have bond no. 9 beat.
Can you post the frag names in addition to the links? tx.
"The next day, he told me the guys in the shop razzed him all afternoon about having a girlfriend."
Was he a priest?
Can I get a summary of the first five? Is there a thread or website with that information?
There is always one such thread on the first page of Male Fragrances.
He wears A*Men when playing soccer?
At the grocery store, an Indian woman was wearing something. I don't know what it was; it was flowery. Never got closer than two feet from her.
Thirty minutes later I'm on my couch and I realized...
I decided to cancel all my subscriptions to bad reviewers (nerds, people who you can't understand . . .)
I guess I realized there's no need to subscribe to every single fragrance reviewer.
There are wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy too many fragrance lines.
Why are there like as 100x as many frags now than, say, in the 70s or 80s? Maybe 1000x.
Back then, if there was a new frag - it...
One other complaint -- a lot of the new reviewers are foreigners or new immigrants who speak english so poorly that you can't understand what they're saying.
See none of the ones listed above as good are the ones I'm talking about. Those are all retired folks from the prior batch of reviewers
Does anyone else agree?
I want to watch youtube reviews, but sometimes I'll look at these loser oddballs and think, "why do you have a camera in front of you?"
There's a few cool new reviewers...
It's called the Basenotes fragrance directory + your imagination. Use it.
Also tried Jovan Musk, but I can barely smell JM.
After discovering the spill, I used paper towels / windex etc. to clean it up as best as I could although obviously some must have seeped into the wood fibers.
It's now been about a...
at least I'm trying to provide material.
True true. I bet the pirate on Family Guy with wooden arms and legs gets incredible sillage/longevity.
The 1 or 2 mls I spilled while decanting into a travel atomizer had nothing to do with. My backup bottle of GIT, way back on my shelf, had broken. I had purchased it when I saw a good deal online. A...
This stuff is powerful and long lasting. I think the fact that it's a hot day has something to do with it.
Did I mention that I spilled this YESTERDAY?

P.S. I don't...
(the "r" that got cut off was "refined")
I wonder how this "Kouros smells like poop" story got started in the first place.
It doesn't smell animalic or dirty.
This is worse than Bijan Men. I felt like I was choking from the fumes. You could literally, and I mean literally, torture people with this. Did kids actually wear this in high school? It just goes...
My entire collection consists of a whole bunch of Creeds and a few other rare niche scents, plus some 80s powerhouses that I like.
But basically all of my stuff smells natural, meaning that when...
1. Spray 1/2 to 1 spray on your forearm.
2. VERY QUICKLY rub it into to both of your forearms, front and back. Rub it in good.
3. Voila - you'll have "sport" style sillage/projection.
The problem is that if someone smells these on you, their impression will probably match your initial impression and not the impression you gained after wearing it for weeks. So should first...
How many sprays?
It's stored in about 80 degree heat with exposure to indirect sunlight. Store your fragrances in the refrigerator!
er . . .)
This thread cements bond no. 9 as the winner for me http://www.basenotes.net/threads/204231-Bond-No-9-An-End-to-Peace-on-Earth-and-Don-t-Go-Down-by-My-Riverside
I knew they copied...
It is still up on TM store but I don't want it.
I work in an office.
Creed Original Vetiver, Creed Millesime Imperial, Kurkdjian Pour Le Matin, Malle Geranium Pour Monsieur
I tried to wear Royal Oud once but it was too strong.
In no particular order.
Kurkdjian Pour Le Matin
Creed Millesime Imperial
Creed Original Vetiver
Malle Geranium Pour Monsieur
I've never tried any of his frags, but I agree with this sentiment. I am pretty sure that people are giving him a boost because he was a reviewer himself, and thus giving his fragrances a higher...
Any chance I could have gotten a fake? I paid $30 off the internet for a tester which is the going rate, from an Ebay seller with like 7000 positive reviews.
twenty minutes it smells like light smoke and fish. The opening is rich with leather, sweetness, smoke, citrus . . . but the mid-note and dry down smells subtly like fish to me.
Does anyone else...
OK spent another session with them. A few of them.
Vrai Blond - Meh. I'll have to try this again.
I don't swallow - This is a good feminine floral.
I am a man - Ripoff of Bois Du Portugal.
It's widely known that Davidoff copied Creed.
My point was that I didn't identify fire island aywhere in my post, and thus starshipvelcro's suggesting that fire island is the ATB66 clone proves that fire island smells like ATB66, despite his...
"Fire Island doesn't smell like At the Beach 1966 to me"
Who said Fire Island was the clone? Busted.
Wall Street definitely does not smell like Millesime Imperial.
I mean Sean John ripped off one or maybe two Creeds, but Bond No. 9 ripped off
- Green irish Tweed
- At the Beach 1966
I can verify the above. They are shameless ripoffs.
I've also heard...
crap my sample pack doesn't have that for some reason.
P.S. I give LLDO credit for putting out these samplers. I wish more houses would do that, but I guess it would cut into their profit line.
I'll give them all many more re-smellings so perhaps I'll change my assessment, but that definitely will not happen with secretions. That is ridiculously foul. It smells like something we were...
P.S. Secretions Magnifique starts off smelling like interesting flowers then after about a minute turns into something that will very seriously make you want to throw up. Think of salmonella, left...
descriptions and I thought it was a good house. Then I realized that's dumb and went back to saying the house is wayyyy overrated. It's basically crap with good marketing.
best website of any...
Now I kind of like it. The drydown sort of smells like something you might find in the Gendarme line. I don't think it's beachy but it's kind of a take on a clean scent.
Sometimes it's good to rub a fragrance in. For example, the Patou Pour Homme thread got me curious about my Bijan Men, which supposedly smells like PPH. However, Bijan is too strong to just spray, so...
What the hell?
That's not really that great a deal.
Also, I heard Patou Pour Homme smells like Bijan Men, which goes for 1/10th of the price.
Bond No. 9 seems like they just put out uninspired cheapish smelling, but strong, scents to turn a buck.
Their bottles are also cheap. I'm not saying all brands should have Kilian level bottles,...
I'm so tired of wasting money on Bond fragrances due to their marketing and hype. I enjoyed tropical scents like VIW or Millesime Imperial so I decided to get this, and it smells nothing like the...
BdP doesn't really expire because it's a strong scent, so you'll be fine even if they send you an old bottle.
When I first smelled Royal Oud I was like, "wtf there's no oud in this what the hell?"
Now I get it. There is oud in there if you know where to find it, but it's not just oud. Anyone can create...
Aramis is much stronger, but dab a tiny bit of Aramis on your hand and it will smell like a spray of vintage tabarome.
Damn really? It's stuff like this that pisses me off because it never happens to me.
1. Where exactly did you spray it, and how many sprays?
2. What clothing were you wearing?
3. Are you...
Yet, you're not splitting it. Even though you're splitting a ton of other Creeds.
I open my storage chest for the winter weather, and all my sweaters smell like Creed Windsor. Someone played a very expensive practical joke on me.
But really, what the hell Creed. Mothballs? This...
Never mind about the lack of longevity. I think I was smelling it too much.
No way. Aventus is horrible. A cologne head who wore odd stuff to work every day, without any problems, got sent home for wearing Aventus. That's how bad it is. Based on that experiment it's the...
The lime added a hint of sophistication and professionalism to the VIW. This batch is all party.
The internet. I'm sure it's real.
omg this has horrible longevity too. DAMN YOU CREED!
It's batch no. A6210M01
I liked the pungent lemon. My last bottle of VIW was a very citrusy scent.
So they won't get me sent home from work like that awful Aventus? (...
Link if anyone doesn't know what I'm referring to http://www.dior.com/beauty/usa/en/women_fragrance_and_men_fragrance_by_christian_dio/lacollection/our_exclusive_collection/lcollectionexclusive.html
30 years ago there were like two dozen colognes, total. Now there are hundreds.
Is Dior's new line worth it?
Alright just stop spamming all of my threads.
I think I smell GPH II behind the dust and smoke of Royal Oud, but yes overall they're different.
If you could get the prices you wanted for your frags, you would have put them on Ebay.
You only put stuff on Ebay if you can get more than you would on here. For example, earlier you posted...
I was going to list Chrome, but I don't have it in my collection.
I think Royal Oud is a dustier, smokier version of GPH II.
It's a relative scale. They don't need to be completely void of such things, just possess the least of them among your collection.
Besides, if you had no answer to what you thought was the...
1. Molecule 02
2. Molecule 01
3. Heeley Menthe Fraiche
4. Heeley Sel Marin
This is the closest you'll get. It's a knockoff made by Dorall (all they make are knockoffs).
You can get it for as little as...
That seems doubtful, because they only add a tiny bit of water and alcohol isn't that expensive.
I understand why perfumers add
1. alcohol (to make the notes project),
2. carrier oils like DPG (to make the notes last longer)
But why does every bottle of perfume have like 5% H2O in it?...
You probably won't need a full bottle, so go to ebay (or maybe TPC but TPC is expensive) and get yourself a few decants. For $30 you can get a pure malt and a l'instant extreme.
Says the person with a sales thread asking 25% to 50% more than he could get on Ebay - where an auction process ensures fair prices - and where they offer buyer protection. *rolls eyes*
Thanks I will. And please keep spamming my threads and the board so you can advertise your trade list.
My point was that if you listed your bottles on Ebay, most of them would get $2 to $5. Instead, you put them in a huge list underneath which you wrote that you want "Invasion Barbare" and "Frapin...
You can buy it really cheap on ebay so there's not much risk. Someone is selling it new, for $12 including shipping.
My only concern is that I will somehow get used to it, and decide to wear it...
You just don't like people having options other than your swap/sales thread.
I mean there's a specific listing I saw where you could these very cheap. It wasn't a general statement about Ebay.
They're cheap on ebay. You'll have to search though since I can't post links.
Edit: Now they're all gone. There are still some so so deals on there though.
I should say it doesn't smell bad. I think it smells exactly like Commes Des Garcons 2 Man + Pine Car air freshner + some magic ingredient to make it project like an atomic bomb. The incredible...
