    Re: Ginger?

Does anyone have any experience with Zingerone? I've tested it at 5% on a blotter, and a couple of hours later can barely smell it.. According to the TGSC I would guess it will take a couple of days...
  3. Re: Smelly game....... then smelly swaps (For after the blind sniff game)

Guess you're right.. I decided to push up the Rhodinol and Kephalis this morning
  4. Re: Smelly game....... then smelly swaps (For after the blind sniff game)

Just before falling asleep - I think I'm ok with my mid/top accord.. I've put some on a blotter and smelling it with the base accord. If it keeps behaving tomorrow, I think that will be it for me....
  5. Re: Less volatile alternative to Methyl Salicylate

    You mean sweet Birch, right?
Anyhow, I couldn't find anything relevant in Wintergreen GC, and according to TGSC Ethyl Salicylate is slightly less tenacious.. I tried some Butyl Salicylate instead..
  6. Re: Less volatile alternative to Methyl Salicylate

Never thought of it this way. I'll try Rhuboxfix and Cyclamen! Maybe with something cooling to give them some bite (maybe Hexyl Benzoate..)
Btw, Pamplefleur has that weird green effect which...
  7. Re: Less volatile alternative to Methyl Salicylate

  8. Less volatile alternative to Methyl Salicylate

One of my usual questions again.. I really like its effect at small dosages, but want something that lasts longer (much longer).. I couldn't find anything on TGSC.. Does anyone have any ideas?...

  30. Re: Smelly game....... then smelly swaps (For after the blind sniff game)

Funny that you perceive Coumarin as sweet.. To me it's kind of harsh in blends, so I usually end up not using it.. Octahydro or Dihydro work better for me, but they are definitely sweet.
