I like it, but I'd buy Noir de Noir and Tobacco Vanille before I buy Oud Wood.
Eau des Baux and the Vert from L'Occitane. Love them both!
Love Tobacco Vanille and Noir de Noir. Great projection and Longevity on both too
uh. easily lasts 8-10 hours on my skin. Sometimes well into the next day. Almost too long in my opinion.
D'Orange Verte Concentre, Nautica Voyage, Aqua Di Gio, Cool Water
It's quite a daring combination of scents. I hate it on some days, and I like it on some days. I seem to like it more than other people who are smelling it off of me though.
Chanel Egoiste seems little too grown up for me (i'm 28) so my go-to scent for work is Terre D'Hermes. A very versatile scent that lasts good 6+ hours for me.
I dont think there are must buys in fragrances, but there are few must trys:
Designer: Terre D'Hermes, Chanel Egoiste, YSL Rive Gauche, D'Orange Verte
Niche: Portrait of a Lady, Noir de Noir,...
^ my thoughts exactly. at ~50$ for 3.4oz retail, its great value. And that drydown is beautiful.
Noir de Noir. I desperately need to get a split of this.
Noir de Noir. Frighteningly beautiful.
I'll try out Un Jardin Sur Le Nil next time! Thanks for all the help guys! EdPR seems pretty linear as well, as grapefruit scent dominates everything else for the whole duration. Still like it, but I...
Just got a sample of Concentre Eau de Pamplemousse Rose - I love the scent, but it doesn't seem to last even in concentre guise - maybe 10 minute of strong projection, and quickly becomes skin scent....
One of my evening favorites - Beautiful drydown as well. It seems to last reasonable 6+ hours on me as well. I haven't tried Bvlgari Black, so I can't comment on their similarities.
As far as fresh barbershop scent goes, it's perfect. perfect. perfect. There's nothing to add or subtract from this scent IMO.
Wore 2 sprays of Midnight in Paris today, didn't seem to garner complaints, and actually got couple of compliments!
Beautiful, beautiful scent. One of my favorite dry-downs, right alongside Tobacco Vanille
leave a bottle at work and apply after you've arrived?
I leave a bottle or two at work, locked in my drawer so I can apply weaker scents after I've arrived (or re-apply if the scent is gone)
Midnight in Paris - it's quickly becoming my nighttime favorite
Le Male, lesser of two evils - but neither would be something I would choose for work.
After couple of wearings, I'm still not sure if I like this scent. It's so different from anything else, but also there are not many occasions where I would need both Citrus and Gourmand at the same...
Best: Midnight in Paris, D'Orange Verte
Worst: Bvlgari Blv, Guerlain Vetiver
Egoiste. but I wouldn't be ashamed to wear TdH with a suit either.
Odeur 71 and 53?
Tobacco Vanille and Eau des Baux are two of my favs
Tobacco Vanille from Tom Ford lasts well over 12 hours...which seem too long for me for most uses!
I have a pair of tortoise print one, and Terre D'Hermes seems like a decent fit.
Davidoff CoolWater, many many great nights with that scent.
Le Male for me lasts almost too long - if I have couple of sprays past noon, I would be easily smelling it by the time I go to bed.. One of frags that I actually would like to reduce longevity.
Midnight in Paris
I don't think L'occitane would be considered a niche perfum, but it does last good 6-8 hours for Eau des Baux on a regular June day in Vancouver. First 5 minutes could be a bit overwhelming, but it...
Eau des baux and Vetiver are both excellent, particulary Eau des Baux. a great buy at that price range.
Midnight in Paris EDT
sometimes, especially if I will be going out for short period of time and/or strong scent is unnecessary.
Concentré D'Orange Verte?
AdG. I try not to wear it when I go to crowded places, because I know 15 other guys are wearing it
I have the cool water for cheap, and will be picking up a nautica voyage for around 20$!
My fav is D'orange Verte, but that's not quite cheap compared to two above
Noir de Noir
TdH. my standard go-to-frag for all weathers except for the hottest summer days.
Sephora is great! one near where I live - they dont pay attention to guys.
I smell a lot of 1 million and Versace Dreamer. But then I go to younger clubs anyways.
I usually stick with TdH, but little bit more liberal with couple more sprays.
Probably my most used cologne during high school... Loved the first bottle, but by the 2nd bottle I was growing out of it and was getting sick of very dark base notes. I remember my gf at the time...
Surprisingly, AdG last night.
I was waiting for my friend at the subway station, and this girl sat right by me and sniffed few times before complimenting on my frag. She continued to sniff away at...
Now I'm curious to know which department store this is, but I had similar changes in attitude in certain SA's.....
I don't think you were doing anything wrong, and I think SA's actions were quite...
Chanel Egoiste, YSL Rive Gauche, Midnight in paris, and YSL L'homme. Have yet to know how I would fair with living with them for a whole day.
Thanks! I wanted to see what types of scents were generally preferred in rain, which were avoided. It seems woody & spicy scents might be a good mix with rain?
I swung by the sinclair centre last sunday (I didn't know it was closed on a sunday) but Sinclair centre itself seemed to be closed - was full of dust and torn down shops inside... anybody know if...
I'm not familiar with much of above selections....what do you look for in "rainy" frags?
Being stuck here in west coast of Canada, we get to see rain more often than not.
Does anyone wear different colognes depending on weather?
Any recommendations on scents for rainy days?
