    Poll: Re: CREED Aventus

I like the smell but it has terrible projection and longevity on me, sadly.

    Scents and colours

Do you associate particular fragrances or smells with certain colours?

I know that packaging and branding will affect one's perception to a large extent. For example, Bleu de Chanel smells "blue"...

I second the recommendations for MI and VIW. Wasn't too impressed with SMW either.

    Re: Aventus batch numbers

I just got my first full bottle of Aventus, and it is from the F01 batch too. It seems to be a newer batch since no one (apart from you) has mentioned it before in this thread.

    It smells...

    Re: Help! Spilled Creed Sample

I can feel your pain. I myself recently dropped a 1.5ml sample of Creed Royal Oud. It shattered and spilled all over the floor.
  7. Re: Looking for something similar to armani code that isnt armani code

Try Armani Attitude/Attitude Extreme. There are some similarities with Code, but without the piercing top notes.
  8. Re: CREED Aventus sample DISAPPOINTMENT follow-up

Hi bugsy, I am in the exact same position as you were. I recently bought a sample of Aventus from The Perfumed Court. I find it weak with poor projection, as if it were watered down. I can barely...
  9. Re: Abercrombie & Fitch “Fierce” to blind buy or not??

I own this fragrance, and it is my least-used fragrance. Definitely regretted buying it. While the top notes are great, a headache-inducing metallic note quickly reveals itself, forcing me to wash it...

  12. Re: For those with small collections (less than 20, preferably 10 or less)...

What's the reason for my small collection? I realised that there is no point buying full size bottles of most fragrances because - apart from a couple of favorites - I usually use them 2-3 times and...

Poll: Bleu de Chanel vs Terre d'Hermes

Two very popular powerhouses go head to head. Which do you prefer?

P/S: It's up to you whether you want to consider the EDT or Parfum version of TDH for this poll.

    Re: Bleu de Chanel flankers

Bleu is already sporty enough and doesn't need a Sport flanker. I'm placing my money on an "Intense" or EDP version.

    JPG's Kokorico

Why so little love for JPG's latest men's fragrance after a long line of Le Male flankers? I tested it the other day and liked its spicy chocolatey scent quite a bit. Much better than Le Male IMO...

    Re: Chanel Bleu - Thoughts

Bleu is among my top 3. Definitely a solid and safe buy, especially when you've already tested it and like it. Disregard those people who claim that it is a generic fresh scent - I own many fresh...

Re: Creed -- the great sexual divide

I think this is true. Men just have fewer things to splurge on that are around Creed's price point. For that price point, females have many other options.

    Best Burberry London edition?

I'm planning to buy Burberry London, but I'm a bit confused by the editions. I understand that there is the original, a 2008 Special Edition and a 2009 Special Edition. Which one is the best?

Re: Poorly reviewed fragrance that you like?

Yeah, I wouldn't consider Legend poorly reviewed. It has few reviews on BN, but that's only because it's quite new. It has more reviews on Fragrantica and is quite well-reviewed there.

I'm sure you all have encountered fragrances that are very well-reviewed but that you just didn't like. What about the reverse - fragrances that you like a lot but just can't understand why they are...
  23. Re: wth? how is Drakkar Noir still a top selling frag?! this entire top selling list on amazon makes

Excellent list. Now you know what NOT to buy if you don't want to smell like a million other men.

    Re: Chanel, Egoiste

Egoiste is very easy to find here in Singapore. In fact, discount shops tend to have lots of Egoiste and run out of the more popular ones like Bleu.

Re: Dior Homme Intense -WTF ?

I know that, of course, but I only have so much real estate on my arms and I had already sprayed other fragrances on them. I do, however, intend to give it a skin test the next time I get the chance.

Re: Dior Homme Intense -WTF ?

I tried DH on a testing strip and grimaced immediately. I don't have a problem with the association with women; I just don't like the smell of lipstick. It's iris mixed with a waxy, plasticine smell....
  28. Re: Burberry Brit - safe to buy without sampling?

Kinda ironic that British shops would not stock Burberry Brit and London

I bought Burberry Brit recently and do like it. I would say it is a safe blind buy because it dries down quite...

Bleu de Chanel vs Bvlgari Aqva
