Generic I'd call something that is a little bland, smells similar to many other things but can't compete with the best of the lot, middle of the road, etc.
Dated would be something like Eternity...
Plenty (around 100-150). I don't sort them by season. Sweeter oriental/vanilla/gourmand scents are the only scents that I mostly only wear when it's cooler, otherwise everything whenever.
Now this sounds pretty awesome!
If you can, try it first. It may not be for you. It's perhaps not the most easy to like scent.
Haven't smelled the rest but, frankly, it's stuff I wouldn't bother with. All Ferrari/celebrity...
Yes - Exceptional...because you are
No - Old Spice
I wouldn't ask anybody I didn't know at all or who isn't clearly a gay man that is already giving me the look.
I'm happy with projection. Sillage is of no concern to me unless someone leaves some rather unpleasant sillage in an elevator or the bathroom.
I don't know the vintage but enjoyed the newer version.
The new(er) version doesn't.
Dior and Jaipur Homme, Black, Power Cologne.
Nothing. Their colors reek of old sweat, motor oil, gasoline and urine.
Then again the main character was a bit metro. He'd wear Aventus.
Quite a few men wear female fragrances that smell, according to their noses, like men's/unisex (and seeing as they smell that way, there's not much to it), some may even wear perfumes that smell very...
1) Kouros by Yves Saint Laurent - The old man and the pee, between Toilet Duck and another man's sack.
2) Aventus by Creed - I was wearing royal pineapple but didn't get any compliments.
Both good but perhaps not blind buy material. Prefer 32 out of the 2.
I'd also recommend Fleur du Male Cologne over the EDT version, unless you enjoy orange blossom followed by a long vanilla...
Probably Obsession. Just something sickening about it. Every time I tried it I had to wash it off. The Dreamer also was a scrubber. Lacoste pour Homme. Nautica Voyage can annoy as well, as can...
I think it is confusing. I almost broke my Zimmer frame thinking about it.
a) I wear scents marketed as men's only (no matter if they smell unisex or even feminine - smell is not a concern here)...
I'm not even sure what the difference between them is.
Unless unisex here means any fragrance marketed as unisex, even if, or rather specifically, more feminine smelling.
Surely d should...
900, JHL, Havana, Quorum, Montana Parfum d'Homme, Grey Flannel, Escada, Salvador Dali, Guerlain Vetiver, Insense, Knize Ten, Antaeus, Maxim's, Moustache, Tabac, Fendi, Van Gils,...
Not surprised that Carnal Flower is seen as feminine. I wasn't aware that it was sold as unisex. Very floral. Even when the girlfriend wore it I was surprised that she would sport such a fragrance...
C. That said, my pour Homme fragrances vastly outnumber the pour Femme ones and I wear them more often.
Many of them do, more or less. People will smell them as vanilla heavy scents. We're talking about differences here that are like say between Madonna and Kylie Minogue, not like between Slayer and...
I <3 Oyedo.
No, but I am considering it. After the millions roll in.
An excellent scent that reminded me of Fahrenheit.
Civets probably like it a lot.
This is exactly why I would not interfere with my good (as recipient of Aventus) or Creed's karma.
It's probably a good idea to smell a bit more mature in Rotherham.
If you enjoy them, wear them. If all the youngsters wrinkle their noses and say you stink then wear them in private, unless you...
You could always send them a mail to make yourself feel better
wow! Thanks for the bottles of Aventus!
Awesome scent, I esp like the royal pineapple.
Your happy customer
I would think Creed is being very generous for once. I'm sure they still made profit even when sending 2 bottles for the price of one.
You are not.
I like Aramis, Havana, 900, Tuscany, JHL, even New West is ok, but I sold my bottle of Devin. I can't remember it too well but at the time I found it a little dull/joyless.
Likes some, dislikes some. Otherwise no complaints.
I'm a bit surprised that we haven't enquired about what perfumes caused such reactions.
Surely it were not 12 shots of One Man Show?
Will try it if I see it. I quite like the original Man, a decent, mainstream, fitting in scent. Man Extreme if found really boring when I tried it.
Can't say that has happened to me. I'd say seduce their girlfriends/wives.
Nope, but my partner is. Personally I think that preparing food should never take up more time than eating it.
It surely would improve the smell inside a plane, compared to the mix of flatulence, feet and half rotten sandwiches that we get now.
At least they let sick people on that cough in your face for hours, when they're not blowing their nose.
Giorgio Beverly Hills, Le Male, Bijan, Van Gils, Sung.
I wouldn't buy anything that's more expensive than what I'm usually happy to spend on smelly water.
I'd probably buy Dior Leather Oud (have a large sample), Jules, Montale Dark Aoud (maybe), Oud...
Don't like them anymore as I managed to fight my juniper addiction but for a cheap fix, Azzaro Silver Black and Davidoff Silver Shadow Altitude.
Cerruti 1881 as well if I remember right.
This morning (very nice but I don't find this unisex enough to wear myself anymore)...
Caron Le Troisieme Homme
Kenzo Jungle L'Elephant
Overrated - Thierry Mugler, Gucci.
DSquared2 He Wood Rocky Mountain Wood.
Did 2 180s from like to what was I thinking, Aqua Marine and Le Male.
Dior Homme Intense
Ralph Lauren Polo
Chanel Pour Monsieur
I liked Tea. If it was sold for a better price I'd buy it.
I thought its name was Creed.
That was one special offer though for one fragrance out of thousands. Also cheap chic Berlin...they probably had to lower the price so much to sell any of it
Yes. If you would be poor you would spend nothing/very little on fragrances, if you're rich you may spend a lot (if interested in them), thus perfumes are a typical luxury good.
Posh household cleaner = perfectly unisex.
Haven't tried this one. Boss No 1 is lovely though, and even Boss Bottled isn't bad. Hugo Element was just ok, nothing to write home about.
Perhaps something like Lanvin L'Homme, very clean, fresh, lavender and not too strong.
I had some samples but didn't really care for it that much so gave them away. Also didn't help that they were dab on samples which are just annoying.
Still have Pino Silvestre and Bowling Green...
I would not have considered owning Le Male if it hadn't been given to me as a present.
Otherwise all the sweet stuff is a guilty pleasure for me from Body Kouros to LL au Masculine, A*men, Rochas...
Girlfriend has nicked Declaration Eau Genereuse and was considering Pour un Homme. Since then I wear only Kouros in her presence.
Mostly stuff I don't recognize.
Where I am right now it's Narciso Rodriguez Essence and L'Artisan Ananas Fizz. I'm giving the old Bulgari Aqua another chance (probably our last time together).
It depends on many factors, the woman, you, age, social and economic status, level of intoxication, etc.
For example many here claim that women love sweet scents, the women who are and were in my...
Does 4711 still sell? Surely old scents like that must have sold more than ADG, then again, who knows.
I didn't find it particularly strong.
If you spray GIT on it will remind you of CW. That's about it.
It's probably just the patchouli but Ice Men somehow gives me this vibe.
A slightly off bottle of Rive Gauche I had did...
Wouldn't mind trying The Bug.
Cool Water, Drakkar Noir, Eternity, Obsession, Safari, 1 Million, Axe/Lynx, Le Male, Acqua di Gio, Pure Malt, A*Men, Givenchy Play, Joop!, Nautica Voyage, Rochas Man.
It's a good one.
It's often like this. If you go on a metal forum they'll say Metallica and whatever is on MTV these days is nonsense and discuss some obscure bands instead. And they're mostly right, it's not just...
They'll mock 50 Shades of Grey and go on and on about hard to find surrealist French poetry, yes. If there's a great new release (according to them) I'm sure they'll go on about it as well, just like...
Giorgio Beverly Hills. Summer is fine.
She wasn't a virgin, I reckon
Architect by Oriflame. It's not as good though.
I've tried it and worn it, a beautiful woman walked up to me and said that it smelled bad, like cum in an ashtray and that I should wash it off.
Isn't that exactly why sites like this exist? It's the same for music, books, movies, etc.
What worries me more is that at any time there are at least 3 Aventus threads on the front page.
A*Men. An overweight child eating ice cream getting pushed into warm tarmac by Mugler lookalikes.
Could be this/the ginger note.
The perfumes I had that had gone off didn't smell of anything much but rancid alcohol.
Hanae Mori HM. Can be worn in any Björk video that features robots, at Japanese metro parties or if you are a Belieber.
Also 24 Gold and Pure Malt.
Try it a few more times. I tired very quickly of it. Le Male is better than this.
Glad you like it. Personally wasn't much of a fan. Too candy sweet and youthful/girly, it never seemed to fit any mood.
Whatever I fancy on the day. Zombies don't give compliments anyway..
Avignon is a nice incense.
But I'd also recommend burying your clothes for a couple of days before wearing them for a better effect.
"Can you spare some change?"
Seems to be the main reason why men I don't know start chatting to me these days.
It really just needs sensible, social behaviour by everybody involved. Seeing as smokers, who all had us suffering for many, many years, had to be crushed using the law though, it probably will not...
Boss No 1 or Patrick.
He has good taste. Proper Robin Hood scent.
I don't think that is going to happen in Europe any time soon.
Would it be wrong to assume that Canada, said to be quite liberal and very pc (my information may be wrong...see Toronto mayor),...
There are plenty that are worth it and plenty that are not, just like when it comes to niche.
Most women probably get compliments all the time, from other women and from men who may or may not try to butter them up, so it's probably no big deal for them.
You overlooked the part where people post about the compliments they receive (collect) on the internet and ask for scents that will get them.
Sure, they can matter.
I'd say though that we finally should call the urge to receive complements by its proper name, need for approval.
There always seemed to be small bottles around. It's ok, loud and cheap (smelling). Girlfriend comments on it every time, negatively lol. Wouldn't buy it again, just using it up.
+1. I haven't smelled it though.
Cologne, B*Men, A*Men and Ice Men are not bad as cheap. All the Pure Stuff is just milking it and the ones I've tried, Pure Malt, Pure Leather, Pure Shot, weren't all that great. Pure Shot was...
The comment section
Enjoy your scents!
Kenzo Jungle Homme, Azzaro Visit >>>>>>>>>> Dirty English.
Just smelled boring. Might as well wear GIT or PM if you want boring.
Giorgio Beverly Hills. One spray, strong but pleasant enough. Two sprays, WWI battlefield.
