Yes, they produce same feeling to me - sadness, yet pleasant. Not to discuss notes.
+1 Zino Davidoff (deserves much more votes, IMHO. Dark and aristocratic)
+1 Ungaro III (dark and elegant)
+1 Carter Santos Concentree (dark and business)
Giorgio Beverly Hills
Everyone related to QPR needs to concentrate on QPR at the moment
Khm... French soccer player for fellow BNers across Atlantic :)
Hmmm... I would say sweetness.
Some of recent male releases are absurdly sweet.
Santos de Cartier Concentree +1
Ungaro III +1
+1 Trussardi Land!
p.s. new Trussardi Uomo is so good, I expected something very intriguing of Land. No, it is not intriguing at all - it is so common. It doesn't even remind of land... it is...
The best clean and fresh smell since 1984. - Lacoste Original.
Nice suggestions! I wonder no one mentioned CH 212?!
What I noticed - very dry and powdery in the middle.
Overall - to sweet for me.
Kenzo Tokyo. 3 layers made 1hr - at best.
Good smell though...
Cartier Santos Concentree
Wow! :) Nice!
Lacoste Original (1984) remains as the only fragrance from Lacoste's "pre - Procter and Gamble" era.
It also means that it remains as their only fragrance worth buying today.
Here I go again - 24hrs after application (and one shower) there is still a clear trace of Trussardi on my wrist! Outstanding!
IMHO - one of the best releases recently.
Some similarities to original, yet very modern scent. A little bit sweet in drydown for my taste, but wearable.
A winning formula for all 80's frags fans...
+1 Santos Concentree.
+1 Lancome Sagamore.
Probably the best new launch for 2012 I ve smelled up today.
I find some connection to Potion by Dsquared2, but L'Hommage is much better and more balanced.
Cartier Santos Concentree for formal occasions.
I am also considering Terre d' Hermes for casual and semi formal occasions.
Take no prisoners - Santos Concentree.
No, you are right. It's much easier to wear than SC.
No harshness there for me either - I can feel quiet fresh vibe.
SC can be described as harsh, not Quorum.
I tried A Men Pure Shot yesterday.
After 10 minutes or so, it reminded me strongly of TdH.
I don't find much similarities between regular A Men and TdH, though.
Antidote, L'Instant Extreme, Ungaro III (especially if I raise my body temperature), Jaipur EdT (never tried EdP), Santos Concentree, Opium EdT... in no particular order.
It both scares and attracts people around you. Pure magic. No jokes.
Both are great fragrances, rich and complex, but EDP blackcurrant is too dominant and overpowering for me.
Can't detect any overpowering components in EDT, although drydown has lot of vanilla.
Speedometer blah blah Limited blah? They should've used a cruise control symbol on the bottle :)
Same here! :)
IMHO - Versace L'Homme is the closest to Santos.
Yes, it's Cartier Santos Concentree :)
You are right guys, but I swear - Chanel Coco EdP is the fragrance driving me crazy even if I spray it in the air.
No wearer, me so horny :)
2. two layers of the frag in 5-10 minutes
4. compatibility between your skin and the frag itself (please note: Joop!, Giorgio for Men... will suit anyone, but most of the...
That's the catch - I like freshness you mentioned (citrus etc...), but not aquatic freshness ;)
Also, I don't find all fresh types similar.
Prada Infusion d'Homme and Cartier Pasha mainly for office but can fit any occasion, Grigio Perla mainly for casual occasions, Lacoste Original for leisure/sport... C'mon, there are so many...
Aquatic smell is for P&G deodorant and Nivea after shave. I really can't take serious an aquatic frag.
e.g. diving, Moon walking... :)
Victor & Rolf - Antidote.
Unbeatable uniqueness, optimal sillage, outstanding longevity.
Antaeus has one major advantage - versatility. Fits any occasion.
I just can not wear Santos Concentree out of suit and tie. Sometimes for evening, that's all.
However, Santos Concentree really...
Mistake, sorry. Disregard this post, pls.
I make two layers in 5 to 10 minutes, it also helps.
Diet is not myth - it doesn't make miracles, but helps longevity a lot. Skipping meat, eggs, milk & cheese - really makes my frags last longer.
What attracts me most - Chanel Coco EdP.
What other people find attractive on me - Ungaro III, Pasha, Jaipur, Opium.
Unfortunately, original lasts only 2hrs on me with decent projetion.
Concentree is 12+hrs with perfect projection.
No big difference in scents, though.
This ad is soooo great! :)
So, spicy-oriental with vanilla for the cold weather, suitable for office? Boucheron Jaipur
+1 Van Cleef & Arpels
BTW - guys, whats your opinion about Giorgio Beverly Hills naturality?
p.s. No need for discussion on its projection and longevity :)
IMHO, every classic powerhouse is suitable for daily wear if you apply it properly.
Tried Michael Kors today for the first time. Great frag.
It reminded me somewhat of Burberry for Men which I also like very much.
I hope this is another story about Procter and Gamble's ownership of the brand. Maybe they own majority of Dunhill fragrances (or all fragrances released from year _____), but not all of them (or...
Giorgio Beverly Hills
I can't recognize much of a freshness in Antidote, but uniqueness is #1.
My overall favorite in this category is Lacoste Original.
Calvin Klein Obsession (when it entered the market), Shiseido Basala, Lancome Sagamore, A*Men (although it makes me sick).
Prada Infusion d'Homme?
+1. Tried it today.
I have tried this scent (Uomo) today.
One of the most interesting releases recently, not that woody as it maybe seems.
Have to try it again to say more, but it doesn't remind me of any fragrance...
Cartier Santos is maybe not the very quintessence of masculinity, but IMHO gotta be mentioned.
Don't know about smell itself, but IMHO - the shape of the bottle and the color of the juice are very similar to DHI.
Am I the only one here seeing Dior Home Intense bottle and juice?! o_O
Boucheron pour Homme?
Cartier Santos Concentree.
No brutality, just style.
Are you sure this part is from dream? :) It looks just like an ordinary day! :)
IMO, this was just a market research by Procter and Gamble.
Hugo Boss Ariel is the next step.
Then comes Lenor Hugo Boss.
Head and Shoulders Lacoste.
That's what I would write, and that's what I like about Santos Concentree :)
Also I find Tsar by VC&A is quiet similar to Pasha (or vice-versa, taking in mind that Pasha is 4 years "younger").
Hmmm, I think you shouldn't... They are not THAT MUCH different, but longevity is cca 2h for regular one and easily 10+h for Concentree.
I did exactly the same thing!
My Santos Concentree arrived last March from the USA and I am enjoying it ever since. If you like regular Santos, you just can't be wrong.
My favorite house!
1. Santos Concentree
Santos Eau de Sport.
Just curious, never tried.
Philosophy of contemporary fragrance industry is so P&G:
World is growing rapidly.
Tens of millions of people each year have (for the first time in life) enough money to buy fragrance / machine...
You are right, but neither poor guys Hugo and Alfred are one to blame nor their honorable names. It's P&G vibe that most of us just can't stand...
More or less it's same with Lacoste.
Only one recommendation from me - Chanel Bleu.
Short explanation -> Joe has surely heard about Chanel (it means maturity), and he will agree that it smells fresh.
Conclusion - > an absolute...
Tried today. Very pleasant scent indeed.
I am not 100% sure, but it reminded me of Dolce & Gabbana pour Homme.
Try Lacoste Original. It is old school freshness and very invigorating frag.
Fairplay? LOL... Obviously someone tried to invent some word different than "Sport", but with sport meaning...
I wonder what will be next "Sporty, but not exactly Sport" word in the world of...
Davidoff Adventure = Burberry for Men (formerly Burberry London)
1. Cartier Santos Concentree
2. Lancome Sagamore
3. Ungaro III
Man, you sound like an exorcist... :D
If mankind continue this way, we may soon expect Bois des Trois Milles Iles...
And it won't be funny at all... :(
212 Sexy VIP Premiere
Undercover cop going to anti-regime riots today. Is too risky for me to wear Gendarme?
So cheap and meaningless ad...
"The Los Angeles night air is filled with fragrant magic, lust and dangerous attraction..." - yeah, right... :D
