Before spending so much on a blind buy, note that 5.5ml samples are offered here. Choose six and get a nice wooden gift box.
One of my favorite EDCs. Well composed, spicy, and surprisingly long-lasting. I prefer it to the EDT Concentrèe, though the EDT is certainly good.
Parfums de Nicolaï Musc Monoï
From Turin's review of the relaunch:
Sounds good, but the original is still the one to get.

These two fragrances debuted in the 1920s. Turin means they've been reformulated since then. He's never claimed they've been changed since joining the Les Exclusifs line.

Armani Eau Pour Homme
Slumberhouse Pear + Olive.
Smells have no gender, and the way a fragrance is marketed doesn't affect how it smells.
This thread reminds me I'm very low on Coromandel, so I've listed a split for it.
Nasomatto Hindu Grass
One spot remaining for Slumberhouse Pear + Olive.
Mona di Orio VÉTYVER

In Mona di Orio’s Vétyver, she wrests every facet she can from its earthy-citrus scent, like a pianist exploring the intricacies of a particular key...

Atomizers are now an option for the Slumberhouse splits for $1 more, but I highly recommend staying with the roll-on for these. They're extremely potent, and a...

Several new styles of empty bottles added.
He's surely referencing Sécrétions Magnifiques by Etat Libre d'Orange, which claims to contain those notes.
My immediate assumption was that it was indeed one or more of these other sellers who complained. How is it, though, that no one has ever complained about them? I find it hard to believe no one has,...
eBay polices it very harshly for some small sellers.
When I saw how common selling decants on eBay had become, with one seller even using the word decants in her eBay store name, I decided to get...
Vintage Maître Parfumeur et Gantier and other rare and niche items for sale here.
Since I have a lot of surplus decanting supplies from doing splits here and offering decants elsewhere, I thought...
I've tried changing the title on numerous occasions. Today's attempt was just the latest one.
Yes, that's how it's supposed to work, but when I change the title to the first post on my sales thread, the actual thread title never changes.
I've tried to change it from '[1/16] Trumper,...
I'm having this same problem.
Editing the title under the advanced editing setting used to actually change the title of the thread, but now it just changes the heading within the thread.
Haute Provence by Parfums de Nicolaï.
Just create a post in the Missing Fragrances List forum:
Note that it can take weeks or months for your submission to be added.
I've tried several Nancy Boy products with their signature scent, through not this body spray. The signature scent is fresh and lively, and I can see it making a fine cologne.
Their Butch and Fem...
I second the recommendation of items from Speick. They're inexpensive and smell incredible.
It's through Speick that I first smelled spikenard, and I therefore associate the scent with men's...
Anybody with a nose should like Haute Provence. It's one of the finest, most intoxicating of all lavender colognes.
There's been conflicting info on this for a couple of years.
It hasn't been listed on PdN's site for a long time, but in another thread a Basenoter (I forget who) claims to have inquired with the...
They share some opening notes, but apart from that, they're very different scents.
This is an outstanding, level-headed view. Many artists I love seem to be cretins in certain respects. This doesn't negate the quality of their art in any way.
Haute Provence by Parfums de Nicolaï is rich, deep, creamy lavender, with better strength and longevity than the average eau de cologne. It's really beautiful.
He's a great perfumer, but he's stretched himself pretty thin over the last couple of years, resulting in mostly tepid creations. I hope this move gives to him a renewed sense of focus.
A decant of 30ml or so sounds like the most sensible option.
No one's bothered to mention it if that happened to recognize it on me. I live in an area where knowledge of even mainstream fragrances is lacking, so I doubt many ever know what I'm wearing,...
It's not only one of the best vanilla fragrances, it's one of the finest renditions of pipe tobacco around. Close to perfection.
I don't spray on my wrist, I spray on my chest. Sometimes I'll lift my shirt over my nose to get a good whiff of my fragrance, and don't care who's looking or what they might think of it.
It's theoretically possible, but I've sold to several new members who had little or no feedback or posting history, and have never had a problem.
I noticed a pending charge on my card yesterday, so I'm assuming my bottle is being prepared to ship. Can't wait.
The EdP is beautiful.
Yes, these are legit bottles, and are a nice affordable alternative to paying for the retail packaged bottles.
It's not an obscure scent, and it probably sells much better than GIT does, being a mainstream designer fragrance, available in far more places.
It's a very nice, inexpensive fragrance.
Memoir is nowhere near as good as Dia. It has quality ingredients, but they aren't as artfully blended, and the concept seems incomplete. Dia is a masterpiece.
The reviews are of limited value, but the introductory essays are very informative and entertaining. It's worth at least borrowing from the library.
"Fashion passes, style remains."
- Coco Chanel
Greats like Antaeus are always in style.
Bump, fragrance still missing from directory.
It smells amazing. Its longevity on me is rather brief, but it's such a wonderful fragrance that I think it's worth owning.
Iris Bleu Gris
Maître Parfumeur et Gantier
I prefer it to Iris Silver Mist, which I rate highly. As noted above, it's slightly formal, but not so much so that it can't be worn whenever you want. It's a realistic iris, and quite green, too. ...
It's Armani's best fragrance by far. I haven't smelled the latest formulation, though.
It's clearly well made, but I find it dull and stuffy. Caron's The Third Man is a much more interesting take on lavender.
I find Olivia Giacobetti's Préparation Parfumée to be simultaneously comforting and melancholic. It's nice to wear on gloomy, rainy days.
They aren't similar, and the Lutens is a much better fragrance.
A Taste of Heaven
This is how I apply everything. A little gets on the shirt, increasing longevity.
It's far too bitter.
It's a shrill, obnoxious mess, with no nuance or class.
Réminiscence Eau de Patchouli fits the bill.
Parfums de Nicolaï
I don't think it's the head of by Kilian that died, it's one of his ancestors, a different Kilian, that died in October at the age of 103.
Immortelle stands out and dominates a fragrance like nothing else.
Fougère Royale EDP (2010)
I get excellent longevity from this.
Vintage Old Spice is probably the first fragrance I ever smelled, as it was worn everyday by my grandfather. It's wonderful.
Why do you hope it was Jean Laporte? The fragrance will smell the same, regardless of who its creator is confirmed to be. If you like it, then that opinion shouldn't waver because it was created by...
Absolutely, several men here wear it.
Edmond Roudnitska made exemplary scents right up to his end. Countless others are as creative now as when they started.
I won't say they get better in general, but they don't necessarily decline.
