The Fragrance I wore most was my newest love: Laura Tonatto Dama
I haven't tried it but Welcome!
Greetings & Welcome!
SMN Heliotrope Parfum
Right now I'm testing my new SMN Heliotrope Parfum
I am soooo in love!
I adore this one too! And you are lucky! When I got my sample it was to not be found anywhere in the USA. I had so much trouble. I finally found it at Browns in the UK. (They carry the full line btw)...
OJ Tolu for me today.
Oh sorry, being in a warm climate I tend to forget about that sometimes.
Of those choices I like the Amor Amor best, but I can't attest to it's staying power.
I might suggest Marc Jacobs Blush. Excellent staying power and a similar feel to Be Delicious.
Checking in so late today! But I wore Laura Tonatto's Dama, and I can still smell it from this morning's spray. It's really lovely.
I would say Pink Sugar, it might be hard to get there.
A little more elegant would be SJP Lovely.
Tumulte by Lacroix - Using the rest of my sample. Very sweet.
Quarry, that sounds great. For some reason amid my travels I have missed that one. The notes are perfect for me.
Wearing my sample today.
Nice but I'm not sold.
Yes, I've tried it. It's nice, slightly above all the other average scents out there. I'd probably wear if someone gave to me, but I wouldn't buy it myself. Nice bottle though.
Twitchly, make sure you check the prices before you buy.
I wore lovely Chamade parfum today.
It is soft and powdery, do you like that type?
Yes, do get the sampler. So much better to test at home and they are generously sized. *I own 4; Sampaquita, Osmanthus, Frangipani and Tolu. *There is a lovely watery quality to the first three that...
I guess this is maybe reverse from what you are getting at, but Anna Sui scents all her lipsticks and powders in her cosmetic line. But I think the fragrances came first. Not sure though.
Laura Tonatto Dama.
I feel I'm the only one in the world that loves this.
I think it is now #3 on my list.
I'm tentative if Carolyn goes. But I don't get off till 6:00 and won't be there till 6:30.
I say leave the Angel and take the Anne Pliska!
Glo, I don't think you are going to like Amber Sultan no matter how you sniff/spray it. It just doesn't work for everybody, even amber lovers like us.
I like Winter Delice too. Bath & Body Works has some nice room sprays for Christmas, I really like the spice and the pine was good too.
Have you tried iPdF Spezie de Medici? Very Christmasy!
I love L'Instant and Iris so I'm eager to try this one.
FCUK for me today.
It's not bad, just ok.
Hope no one asks me what I'm wearing!
Charles Jourdan for me today. Thank you to flathorn for the reminder! I love this one!
Oh! Sorry! Thanks, I guess I'm just tired.
Ack! Did I miss it??? I'm putting on some Amber et Vanille for bed time.
Lonefish, I just bought a decant of the EDT from ebay.
Nice review flathorn! I fell very hard for this one too.
I'm a mini chype lover and love gourmands. But Angel just
is not me. This is a great fit. I do love it, but sometimes I forget how
That would depend on a mutual agreement between the swappers. Usually a sample swap would be a small glasss vial or up to 4ml. Decant swaps are usually 4ml - 10ml. Then there are large decant swaps...
Welcome! I love Rose scents too. For you I would recommend Dark Rose or Voleur de Roses.
Fahrenheit and Grey Flannel both do it for me. On the right guy of course.
Waaahhh!! I want a sauna!!
Bond No 9 - West Broadway for me today.
If we are just voting for our fave from the list, I voted for Une Fleur.
I don't think the word is out completely on this one yet. I just found out about it two days ago. Not much hype or advertizing. I'm sure sales will pick up soon.
Bond No 9 - Fashion Avenue
Shanghai for me today.
I really haven't been successful at this; one usually drowns out the other.
It works better for me using single note lotions then spray scents to enhance the notes.
Hehe, funny Veronica!
How about iPdF Spezie?
Oh that would be a great one!
Laura Tonatto Oropuro
I'm not sure what my worst is - maybe that pasture note in Serge Lutens MKK. Or tar, or burnt rubber. I'm not so keen on tobacco, smoke, leather. But a little n moderation is ok. I've had enough of...
Sounds very nice, can't wait to try!
I also agree with Michael Kors Michael & Carolina Herrera for tuberose.
You might also like Michael Kors Island. Chanel Une Fleur.
Evening In Paris Original Fourmula for me. I happen to have a new bottle of re-released original formula scent. (Not the new version) This scent smells exactly the way I remember form my childhhod.
Thanks Tigs! I really though I wouldn't have any but after looking at the list, I have 10!! I can't believe it. Decisions, decisions!
I'd say Brit Gold. I have somewhat similar tastes to those your mother likes and I love this one. Plus it's a pretty package, a nice gift presentation.
My favorite is Keiko Mecheri Hanae. So soft and sweet and powdery.
I agree, I'd much prefer an unknown beauty that you don't find on a cover of a scandal sheet.
What is sotDD please?
Today - Laura Tonatto Oropuro
Sorry, but I don't see her as a great beauty or classic beauty.
OH, I didn't know they were going to expand this line. That's great!
I hope it's wonderful!
Caron Bellodgia Parfumfor me today. I am so happy it's FRIDAY!
My favorite is from the La Maison de la Vanille line, Divine Des Tropiques.
They have a sample of 5 vanilla scents at at a good price:
Definitely Messe de Minuit! I don't get so much incense as others, it's more damp and the smell of old books.
Happy anniversary Artisankey!
Today I'm wearing Gaultier2.
Oh I agree too! But I keep sniffing, I keep thing one of these is going to have to be good. I can't remember smelling this many new ones I don't like. And such pretty bottles, It's a shame really.
So we are to vote for our favorite? I voted for Miracle, it was the only one I used to wear often.
My new favorite, Laura Tonatto Dama.
Testing Bond #9 West Broadway today.
Just testing today. Several samples from my NYC trip, Bond No 9s and some Carons.
It's probably something from Fresh's Sugar line.
I haven't tried it, can you describe it?
My favorite sandalwod is by Tipton Charles.
It's very sweet and powdery.
Barneys has started selling the Laura Tonatto line now.
You can also find it online at The Perfume Shoppe in Vancouver.
Thanks for that link!
Yes my dear you nailed this one! I agree with your take on it. I had ordered several deacnts form ebay. This one came and it was unmarked. So I sprayed it. I couldn't even...
I apologize in advance, I tried to find the prior thread on this but could not. I'm still learning my way around here. :O)
Anyway I got my decant today and holy cow, if that's not patchouli in...
It was Anne Pliska for me. I loved it so much that I went on the web to research it and it led me to Perfume of Life where I have been a member since that very day. But being on a perfume board, soon...
My favorite is Caudalie Fleur De Vigne.
CSP Muscat is another one.
I love the wine scent of Michael Kors KORS, one of my favorite perfumes.
Bois Des Iles Parfum for me today.
I say Anne Pliska. Sounds like she likes amber, so I'm sure she would love it.
I agree with LLS, it might very well be the edt. Anyway, let us know, it looks like you got a steal!
Well this is perfect tiiming as I'm ordering a bottle of Bois de Santal for a friend. I didn't think I'd like it due to the sandalwood. Actually I love certain sandalwoods, but most are too dry/woody...
I did really like the samples I tried that a friend sent me. But I haven't looked further into buying any ... yet.
Lucky Scent has 3:
I just toss them, unless they are extraordinary.
I do feel a twang of guilt.
Great reviews, I love osmanthus too. My favorite being The Different Company. But I do also like Ormonde Jayne more than you seem to. :O)
I'm glad to finally find someone else who will agree with...
It doesn't look the boxes here in the USA. They are gold wth a grid, like this:
Ok, bumping to the top again, because I think this frarance is really great and is going to be a big hit, when it finally hits here. I don't understand why they would wait so long to release here,...
Marc Jacobs Blush is clean and fresh due to an air accord note.
The new Escada has this too.
lorenzo villoresi musk - I love this one! I never hear anything about it.
Ack! 2006??? Not before Christmas?? That's crazy!
Gaultier2 for me today. I must have this one!
Ok, I ordered a small decant from ebay. It's hard for me to get to the stores due to my work schedule. So we'll see.
I was told it is "Liv", as in live your life.
Just spray right into the vial! You'll get the hang of it.
Do make sure you are spraying into the open end.
I gotta tell you I've tried the wrong end more than once.
Oh thanks! The bottle is cool.
Thanks for that update. I might just have to get the Burberry Brit now that I own the Brit Red and the Brit Gold.
That's no good, I don't like tobacco either.
Still, I must sniff!
Vie Luxe Capri for me today.
I would say Brit Gold. It's a beautiful bottle, very Christmas-y. It's a soft ambery scent.
I'd love to see the bottle, any pic? I asked about it when I was there last week. I really wanted a sample. They told me November. Oh, yes, I guess that is next month.
I don't think it will be...
I think you should try Laura Tonatto's Osa. I don't like tuberose and I did like this one. It's loghter and fresher, not so heady.
Chanel No 22
Niki De St Phalle - is that a classic now? Humm I don't know.
I say Anne Pliska. It's my favorite and most women like it. More posatives than negatives anyway. And not common.
I'm looking forward to trying this one too. I'm really in an amber mode lately.
For me it's Fahrenheit followed closely by Gray Flannel.
L'Erbolario Te for me today. *Although this is Te Verde, to me, it has a black tea smell, not as green as others anyway. A very nice Te with light florals rather than herbals. *I love it. *And while...
Brit Gold for me today.
Ok, it's near the end of the work day and I can still smell this and it is fab! I must have this NOW!
Anyone know the USA release date???
