  1. Re: Do you think Creed batch variations are actually just shoddy quality control or cuz of 'Millesim

If batch variation is bullshit then how do you account for the fact that perfume houses have to comply with IFRA's constantly changing regulations. Lyral for example was in huge doses in Aventus's...
  2. Re: Just because it looks like a Pineapple and smells like a Pineapple...doesn't mean it's Aventus.

Manzanate and orange oil give Aventus the pineapple notes however these are often fleeting top notes. Aventus's signature note across all of the batches (yawn) is the mossy/ woody dry down caused by...

There's no doubt batch variation exists. There's a far higher amount of Lyral in 11X02 than the recent batches due to IFRA regulations on allergens. Anybody...

    Re: Aventus batch numbers

I know 98.6 of what is in Aventus and Oakmoss isn't there (unless it's a captive in the remaining 1.4%).
The 11X02 batch has a prohibited amount of Lyral compared to the batches of 2013-15.
    I...

It's always interesting to hear the same description of Aventus that it's either pineapple or smokey. The Dominant note in Aventus after half an hour is a mossy note and this continues for hours and...

It's impossible to agree with this article. A mere look at Basenote's most complimented male fragrances shows that the top 10 don't appear in this article.

  22. Creed Aventus...isolating the mossy note

Does anyone know which material is in Aventus which is giving the dominant mossy note. Oakmoss is listed in the description but it isn't in Aventus (Just as Ambergris is listed and isn't in there)
