    That looks like new. Amazing.

It might even be older than you think. Either that, or I need to rethink some of my assumptions.
Would you mind checking the box for an EMB code? If your bottle...

Re: Your Vintage SOTD - 2020

I really like this one. It takes me back to the earthy side of the '70s.

Re: Vintage Fragrances I bought today - 2020

The description of Nobile as safe makes sense to me. It may not be a subtle fragrance, and the opening borders on obtrusive. But there's no suggestion of carnality or roguishness to my mind. It's the...

Hehe. I am curious, I have to say.

It's a wonder neither of us has run across a bottle.

    Re: Vintage Antaeus Thread

    I think so, too.
It if's nitromusks you're after, I think you have to go back a bit further. That's not an issue with Antaeus, though.

Re: Your Vintage SOTD - 2020

Is that good? I know that name, but that's about it.

I just noticed that the bottles in the ads appear to be rocking. I want to try this stuff!

    Re: Vintage Antaeus Thread

That fits the number-number-letter scheme that was used in the early '80s. I don't think anyone has come up with a key, so specific dates are a mystery. When I see a code like that, I just think...

Re: Vintage Fragrances I bought today - 2020

It's funny how that works, isn't it?
I have two bottles of the original and one of Antaeus Sport. One bottle of the original dates to the early '90s, the other is a mystery (see below). The Sport...

I'm sure we're not alone. And it doesn't have to make sense.

Hear, hear. It's fun to speculate about when they were produced, but what really matters is how they smell.

Re: Vintage Fragrances I bought today - 2020

And it's possible that the change had already happened by December 1982. That is to say, we don't know when the ad was actually produced.

I don't know how much the scent itself changed during the...

Re: Vintage Fragrances I bought today - 2020

I think Antaeus bottles were the only ones like that. I remember reading here that on the early bottles, the concentration (edt or after shave) was on the back. It would be nice to know when the...

Re: Vintage Fragrances I bought today - 2020

Nice. That Antaeus looks like an early one.

I've been wondering when the words "eau de toilette" migrated from the back of the bottles to the front. Does anyone know, in general terms?

That natural spray bottle I showed here the other day? Turns out it does not have a batch code. Oh well.

Poll: Re: Spraying perfume on your neck: Yay or Nay?

I used to spray on my neck, but over time came to realize that I get more enjoyment out of the scent if it's farther from my nose.
