can't go more than 3 days without wearing this:
Bois de Cedrat
under that wrapping paper is this:
1oz / 30ml ... the smallest size bottle.
plan your life accordingly...
I am a huge Les Floralies fan. such a light and uplifting floral fragrance. possibly CREED's best female fragrance, and since it's never talked about, also its most underrated!
both Himalaya and Silver Mountain Water work great on those bright, sunny, cold, snow-covered winter days.
really?!? i wouldn't categorize it that way at all. This is a great 25-35 years old fragrance. i think wearing this past 40 or 45 would be inappropriate cuz you'd smell too YOUNG.
what the hell is wrong with some of you people?!?
is there a limit on this website's bandwidth where Johnny's threads are taking up space? He doesn't make that many. And who cares if he ends up...
I still can't get over that one thread where the OP said that samples are a waste of time. (and then called Cutlass an a$$hole)
both projection and longevity below average. and both below Terre D'Hermes level. this stuff disappears QUICKLY.
anything with that new green label on the front is current (from this past year).
there... discussion over. now go enjoy your GIT.
Or, more likely, it is all in people's heads. (or noses)
I'm sorry, but from day one, this frag has divided people into the StylinLA view of "I can't smell this even when I snort it up my nose...
getcha popcorn ready
well this one is going for $52 at the moment....
if i had to come up with the note-pyramid for this, it would be:
haha... I think it's KILLING Dullah here that Aventus is so loved. yet he's sticking to his "you gotta be kidding me" first 5-second impression with a stubborn tenacity usually reserved for Jack...
No, you shouldn't.
if you like any kind of character, twist, or aspects (like dark or smoky, or anything else), then Sublime Vanille is not for you.
Sublime Vanille is the most...
nothing like Selection Verte. that is a mint-dominant citrus. Bois de Cedrat is a lemon-dominant citrus. SV is extremely potent, high-strung, and concentrated. BdC is much more calm and...
finally... Tom Ford - GREY VETIVER
Marc Jacobs BANG is like pouring a pepper shaker all over yourself. bizarre, but probably right up your alley.
looks like vetiver is the cilantro of the fragrance world
you chose wisely!
Tuscan Leather >>>>> Tobacco Vanille
True... I should have kept on walkin... Though in my defense, the thread title was misleading. I thought it was actually about GIT. It's not like it was titled "is my Creed fake or not?" and I...
man.... no offense JB2732... but these threads are so freakin OLD!
i think in the forum rules somewhere should read: "if you want to buy CREED fragrances, buy them from the CREED Boutique,...
i agree. wearing this tonight and falling in love with it again.
at first it opens up all wood. technically extremely impressive, but very austere. over time it gets sweeter and sweeter and...
Bleu is a good scent. not groundbreaking, but good.
look into Tom Ford for men. also John Varvatos (all of them... you'll have to test them).
if price is no object, CREED Aventus is by far...
confident around older guys - Vintage Tabarome
confident in everyday/professional life - Grey Vetiver
confident in with the lovely ladies - Aventus
you're in college, correct? of course $750 sounds like a lot of money to you. because it IS a lot of money to you! trust me, when i was in college, i wasn't dropping that kind of loot on cologne!...
really? well i think it's appropriate to stick to the subject as described in the title and first post.
i did not create this thread to discuss CREED's history or lackthereof. as I said, there...
gotta pay to play, bro...
good lord dude....
Tom Ford Grey Vetiver too
no one can judge based on your personal finances...
but i think you'd be hard-pressed to find ANY Windsor owner who regrets getting it.
Moderators... please just close this thread. seriously. i'm sorry i started it. i should have known better.
i wanted to talk about the FRAGRANCE being released very soon. Not start another...
is that a guess or do you gots inside infomashunz?
i don't care if you or anyone doesn't believe in CREED, or think they are responsible for WWII. but do the same trite comments/jokes have to be made in every freakin thread about CREED?!?
dude... it's not Windsor... there is another fragrance coming out here in a little while. you won't find anything on the internet about it except for that blog excerpt by CREED.
i will be seriously disappointed if that is the case. can't imagine them doing that though.
^^^ that's weird... because with Aventus, Windsor, and Spice & Wood... my anticipation and excitement for this (and the house in general) is sky high.
but hey... why wait until it's released? ...
it is mentioned in their "blog" on their website:
"Erwin CREED will visit the U.S. again this year from Paris, meeting clients and signing bottles at select Neiman Marcus stores across America and...
OK seriously people... the CREED bashing is SO OLD and TIRED.
I will never understand why people who don't like CREED insist on clicking threads about CREED and commenting anyway. ENOUGH!!!!
dear god no.
... is coming out soon.
Nobody knows anything about it. No word on if it's a woman's perfume or a man's cologne or unisex. No word on price.
Only concrete detail is that it will only be...
Tom Ford Grey Vetiver
agree with everything here. great post.
i do like SMW, and recently got a flask of it from Creed Boutique. but it just doesn't have the character of Aventus. i usually find SMW to be...
i've always loved GIT, and I'm a huge fan of Aventus.
two very different frags. GIT is constructed better and more natural smelling. Aventus is more fun to wear and a bit sexier.
i don't know but yesterday i wore Musc Ravageur on my right arm and a combo of Acier Aluminium and Sublime Vanille on my left arm and they were 99% alike.
yea people give me compliments wearing SL.
but i don't accept them.
i love how even a discussion starter about how cool the Body Kouros bottle is has to include a random insult of CREED. LOL
oh i meant prejudices towards Costco and Walgreens... not CREED. haha
not important... but i would like to know if they respond to your email and what they say..
That makes no sense whatsoever.
Niche means that the company exclusively makes fragrances. As opposed to Ralph Lauren who makes fragrances AND clothes.
Regardless... you are insinuating that...
I agree... Acqua di Parma is subtle and understated class. Love their bottles and their Italian roots.
I'd throw in Serge Lutens, CREED, and Tom Ford. All three of them rely on understated...
Time to delve into Tom Ford's Private Blends, my man.
Tom Ford Grey Vetiver
just sampled this for the first time this week, and it was love at first sniff! buttoned up and classy. would be a great professional scent. yet also has a clean,...
i think the common sense answer to this whole thing is simple... don't wear TOO MUCH cologne.
I can see what the OP is saying. if i were on a date, and i could smell her perfume from the other...
good lord that is nasty. either you hang out with some rank-ass females, or you have some serious nasal powers.
your avatar makes me randy.
Acier Aluminium this early evening.
Probably to be followed with Royal Delight late night.
that's what i love about CREED... you can seamlessly blend them together over the course of a day. ...
is that limey-speak for being laid off?
that happened to me last year. best to you. (it was the best thing that ever happened to me)
i have no idea what cologne you should wear. i wouldn't...
why on earth then is Pure Malt on the list?!?
John Varvatos of those choices... by far.
and def not Tobacco Vanille either, for what HDS said.
agreed. this and Tuscan Leather are my favs.
much respect for the whole line. i think they are too heavy for everyday use though. but when that special occasion/craving hits, TF satisfies like...
Yea when you look at the pic of the Aventus flacon on the website, the label looks white. and i also thought a white atomizer would be good with it. but when i got the flacon, the label is...
Man did I have a complete reversal. Living with this frag for a couple days, I quickly became nauseated with it.
I'm in my early 30's. Recently, I had a good friend of mine over to the house...
Looks WAY better.
Yes, the all-black GIT bottle is sick looking, but it always bothered me that there wasn't even a trace of green on it. This...
CLEAN for men.
agreed. though i don't get anywhere near that longevity.
i'd throw in Citrus Biggarade and Concetration d'Orange Verte.
though it'd be helpful to know if you want lemon citrus or orange...
+2 decant of Virgin Island Water.
Tom Ford Oud Wood
Frederic Malle Musc Ravageur
Le Labo Rose 31
Acqua di Parma Essenza
I agree... clearly, Creed is the only fragrance company that wants people to buy their product. All of the others prefer to either give it away, have no sales, or for people to steal it out of the...
Bois du Portugal - CREED
M7 - Yves Saint Laurent
London - Burberry
Rose 31 - Le Labo
Habit Rouge - Guerlain
Spice & Wood - CREED
Pure Malt - Thierry Mugler
Musc Ravageur - Frederick Malle...
i'm more fascinated by those who are obsessed with fans of Creed, than those who are fans of Creed. the amount it seems to bother them is quite baffling.
i don't see why it's SO HARD to NOT click...
well that's exactly what I'm saying... all of those frags are NOT pure vanilla fragrances. Tobacco Vanille smells like a big chocolate brownie to me.
Sublime Vanille is a strict "ode" to...
this stuff looks awesome. i'm gonna try a couple things. thanks MUCHLY for the recommendation!!
just curious... are you a vanilla lover?
i can see how one would be disappointed in SV if they thought it was a vanilla-influenced cologne with other aspects to it. obviously, it's not. it's...
okay, maybe we have way different social groups, but literally, LITERALLY nobody I know... friends, family, or otherwise have ever heard of Creed fragrances. (until i told them about it) The word...
okay man... i see i touched a nerve. didn't think a discussion about cologne would be taken so personally and cause resentment. wasn't trying to insult... sorry if it came across that way.
how can you claim it's "totally reformulated" when it smells virtually the same? I know we tend to lose sight of the big picture around here, but the macro-truth on this is that there is virtually...
i think if anyone puts more than 3 sprays of Aventus on, they are gassing everyone out of the room, whether they realize it or not. trust me from (an embarrassing) experience on this one, when I...

you mean... YOUR critical analysis of the new Windsor.
not sure where you are coming from on all of this... perhaps you are a tad bitter that you bought...
you mean... YOUR critical analysis of the new Windsor.
not sure where you are coming from on all of this... perhaps you are a tad bitter that you bought 4 flacons of batch #1 only for them to...
some comic relief about all this:
very true. my Aventus, Windsor, Sublime Vanille all have "10" in the middle of the stamp, not on the right end. Curiously, my Spice & Wood has an "09" stamp. Perhaps they made this back last year...
Windsor is a limited edition production. So they make a batch when they feel like it, and sell it til it runs out. It's still available at the Creed boutique website, though probably not for much...
haha Jonny will never start a thread again lol
i'm just finishing up a TPC sample of this, and put in an order for a bottle the other day.
it is a bit gimmicky and toyish, but in the end, it smells sweetly good and is AMAZING in cold weather. ...
