I can't be certain, but I'd say all perfumes these days are 95%+ synthetic. That's not an issue with me. I haven't bought any fragrance based on its organic/synthetic ratio. I only buy because of the...
How about in 2016? Still real or synthetic?
Silver Mountain Water
Green Irish Tweed
Blind bought my first Montale for 60 OTD
Just got mine yesterday. Three different colors in my package. They smell great too! If I didn't know better I'd say he just sent me Aventus.
Is Royal Mayfair priced higher than other Creeds (except Aventus)? Seems high to me. Fragrancenet 2.5 oz Creed testers are ~130.
A Creed rep told me they made this one for Julius Caesar
There goes all the mystery.
My favorite is Voyage and it was my first 100+ dollar purchase. Anyone notice Un Jardin Meditaranee (sp) smells awfully close to Voyage?
My other favorite from him is Ambre Narguile, but can't...
I've always thought it was Cool Water with a green pepper note.
I've always heard it's nearly the same as Creed Original Santal. I like the Creed one so if it does in fact smell the same it's a great buy for sure. I've yet to pick up a bottle for myself.
Sounds legit to me. I think the eau fraiche only lasts 3 hours.
If it's women (my number one concern when I was in school) and compliments you're after, you'll find nothing better than Aventus.
I'll say Aventus before anyone else does. It's more expensive, but it will achieve what you desire.
In the budget-friendly zone I'd say YSL M7 oud absolu and perhaps Serge Lutens Chergui. Both are...
I've had luck layering, but would never mix in a separate bottle in case the result is awful. I'd be out some juice from two different bottles that way. [emoji14]
A really good combo has been one...
Never seen a green label on a ridged bottle. Perhaps the one in front of it was green and reflecting?
These have really impressed me:
Ambre Narguile - lovely sweet, long lasting scent
New Haarlem - breakfast in a bottle
Aventus - sweet and smoky
Colonia Oud - exceptional oud and doesn't...
My Creed dabbers have always struck me as more potent than my FBs (except for my SMW which lasts a full day and most complain it won't last 8 hours).
Probably not silly, but I wear certain ones that remind me of a good time. Like how I bought Fleur du Male in Alaska or how amazed I was when I put on AdP Oud in Epcot's little Italy.
New Haarlem is the only full bottle of Bond I own. I've tried at least 10 others from them and Hamptons is the only other I'd consider buying (redundant since I have Silver Mountain Water).
Virgin Island Water!
I was about to comment that I find the Boisee a bit too much after a few hours. I don't know what I don't like about it, but there's definitely something.
I like SMW to the Bleecker, but have never tried that Acqua one. Off topic - I think Hamptons by Bond is identical to SMW. Anybody else notice that?
I just purchased my first bottle of this stuff last month and it's horrid imo. All I smell is gasoline. It reminds me of my mom's pushmower in her garage. It smelled great on a friend of mine, which...
Of the options you originally listed, Eros.
This Tam Dao is great! I got .34 oz of the EDP for 27 USD. It's been about an hour since I put on three little sprays and I love it. It starts off relatively green IMO, but dries to a nice creamy (I...
I was just about to post that I didn't receive mine yet :p
Good to know. This looks like it will be a fun project. I recently got a bottle of Aventus which doesn't last at all like my dabbers from...
I can agree that Atelier's Bergamote Soliel is a great citrus. I have a deluxe sample of their Orange Sanguine and it's a fantastic orange fragrance, but not quite as citrusy as the Bergamote Soleil...
I have to fight to get the cap off my Aventus bottle (it's relatively new with no engraving on sprayer), but most of my others wobble quite freely [emoji14]
I almost dropped my Aberdeen Lavander...
I don't remember off the top of my head which one came from where, but the first reform is absolutely terrible. The second reform does fix some things, but is only about 75% as good as the original.
Agree with this and would like to add the Mediterranean version too. It's a spicy floral to me.
This is by far my favorite oud and is definitely the most exciting. It's completely different from other ouds and lasts 24+ hours. Good choice!
Holy cow. Nice haul!
I liked this one on paper. Never did get to spray it on me though.
Thanks everyone! I believe I'll be pulling the trigger on a .4 oz Tam Dao EDP because it's only $28 shipped. It should be a nice addition to my collection and ~half ounce is a good size imo.
6 hours would be great on some of them! MI and VIW come to mind.
I only buy them from Fragrancenet so 150 is about the max I pay and that's worth it imo.
Dammit I just saw this now and it ended two days ago :(
It's so much better. The reforms smell like chemical lemons compared to the OG version. I bought two 2.5 oz bottles of the Italy blend this month.
It may be worth trying to contact them directly and asking for a list straight from the source. They may be in the mood to assist Basenotes since that's where I'd imagine all of their biggest...
Aventus has that effect on (married) women. You should have known that :p
Can anyone suggest a reasonably cheap fragrance that would allow me to smell the beauty of sandalwood with minimal interference from other notes? I think I'd enjoy a more creamy version of...
Looks good to me. I don't think the 6.7 oz size would be faked and also I don't think he'd use more than half it knowing it's fake.
I seriously bought
and another backup of
The number one reason I don't like celeb scents is because they don't even wear them. How good can it be if your name is on it and you don't wear it? I also hate the idea of giving them money for...
Got a bottle of the Chergui this month too! I have a dabber of the Timbuktu and it's great!
Nordstrom Rack has Cartier Roadster Sport and Tommy Bahama set sail for 60 and 20 respectively.
Yes, I just bought another (2 this month) vintage formula of Dolce Gabanna PH because it will only get harder to find in the future.
This is true.
Also, of the "common-folk" frags, I can only always recognize Acqua di Gio.
+3 for Italian Cypress
I was going to suggest Oud Fleur, but see you gave it away.
Overpriced indeed, but my 2.5 oz tester was 80 bucks on fragnet. Retail is for suckers.
I wonder what the bottle design will be like? Either way, this will for sure get my money.
It needs to be able to overpower the 1 Million sprayers at the club :)
+5 for Orange Sanguine
L'homme Ideal EDT
Acqua di Parma - 7
Creed and Guerlain are tied at second with 6
He must be doing something right!
I like oud as much as the next guy, but would honestly have no clue where to start with Montale. I'll save the rest of my thoughts for a "recommend me a Montale"...
Does anyone else think this Montale guy oversaturates the market with aoud-this and aoud-that?
Speaking of the Pure line, how about Pure Tonka? I get a dumptruck load of edible vanilla notes in that one, which reminds me of a loaf of sweet bread. Not sure how the Pure Coffee stacks up since...
At the barbershop by Replica and AdP Colonia are very barbershoppy imo
I doubt many have this, but Ruehl 925 is very barbershoppy. I read it's similar to Rive Gauche, but haven't smelled RG yet.
And also GIT :)
I don't know if they're famous for it, but they do have a bit of powdery scents [emoji14]
Infusion and Amber are manly powder bombs imo
Like others, I agree Guerlain is known more for masculine...
New Haarlem reminds me of some of these notes (butter cinnamon + coffee) so it may be a good base.
Here's this month's haul! Only thing not pictured is the 8 mL of Ambre Narguile I snagged for $20
Finally got my Saint Barts today and you guys were spot on about it being limey. It's smelled awful on first spray, but dried to a very pleasant citrus.
This. Men will consider any form of contact from a (pretty) woman as flirting.
Also, I would imagine it's more awkward for a guy to tell another guy he smells good. I won't tell another man he...
After reading your description I decided I must try this one!
That sounds correct of MI. One batch would be great (somehow always what your sample is made of) and whatever batch you actually buy might as well be a room spray in terms of longevity.
I didn't like it or any of the other flankers on paper. I did, however, really like the original.
I agree that your taste is all over like mine. Maybe some more gourmands would fit your taste. I'd recommend at least sampling Hermes Ambre Narguile and Bond No 9 New Haarlem.
Gucci PH II
Prada Luna Rossa
I always get unscented deodorant because I do notice whiffs of the scented ones on occasion. They don't ruin your perfume, but the occasional flare up will be noticeable to you.
"You don't like this batch? Keep buying others until you find the one that performs like the tester you tried. It's not our fault we aren't consistent."
I haven't seen that either. I have seen some where the only thing designating the scent is a cheap-looking clear label from a label printer.
Fragnet doesn't deal fakes so if the juice smells the...
Also Atelier's Orange Sanguine. If you like purely citrus fruit I'd also say Colonia from Acqua di Parma.
Prada Amber smells terrible in my skin. It's okay on my shirt though.
I'll gladly pick this up for 30 bucks on fragrancenet. Shouldn't be too long from now.
Fragrancenet does indeed have incredibly slow shipping. All my orders come from their NJ location and I'm in IN. I placed an order Monday and it wasn't until Wednesday that they even stated...
I used to go for the bigger sizes, but now that I'm in the 50+ bottle collection I aim for 1oz or 1.7oz
That being said, when I deplete a smaller bottle, I will buy the biggest I can afford of it...
You'd think it'd be quite a few years, but he'll probably be out before a year. I agree that'll he'll end back up in jail because finding a job will be really hard.
Or this one
Yeah, it's too bad he didn't snag the exclusives.
Love this one! I only have a dabber, but a full bottle is definitely in my future.
Thanks for checking! It was worth a shot.
Any more available? I could use an additional backup bottle and that price is great!
This came up in my Google news
Only thing I can disagree with is Spice and Wood + MI lasting a long time. Tons of posts have said MI is too wishy washy bottle to bottle and I've read that spice and wood quickly becomes a skin...
GIT, Original Vetiver and Aventus have been the longest lasting I've tried.
Same here. I don't really like the direction AdP is going recently (since Colonia Club).
I would only pay 400+ if they made a perfume version of Colonia that lasted 20 hours and projected 4 feet...
Congrats! I have a dabber of Timbuktu and really like it.
YSL L'homme Nuit
Those will bring in the compliments
I used my final 3 sprays today. I wasn't planning on touching my bottle, but since I have a new one coming...
Didn't post this one yesterday, but I also snagged an old formula of Dolce Gabbana pour homme.
I made an eBay account after reading your earlier post [emoji14]
I've already made my hauls this month, but next month I'll be getting some 95-percenters
I've worked 3 Christmas seasons in fragrance at Sephora. I did know that LVMH owned them. The discount while working there was great, but I'd often run out of fragrances to purchase. I snatched up...
I didn't even know Sephora had that. I've always heard of this line on BN, but haven't tried them. A sampler pack sounds like a good cheap thrill!
Joop (even gets on my nerves and I love obnoxiously sweet)

The original Dolce Gabbana
Anything but the original sticker bottle is terrible. I hate to be a vintage snob, but I...
I always forget about their 95% option when I order from them.
I ordered mine 100% full like a sucker. My l'instant was ten more dollars than yours [emoji14]
Congrats on the Heritage. That's...
Those look fancy. I keep seeing their name pop up, but have yet to try any. Sorry about your luck on the stoppers.
