I like how the bottle feels... but hate how I'm always scared it'll topple over.
Love the juice though!

I gather than you, like me, are waiting with excitement for a delivery from The Perfumed Court!?
I have been disappointed every morning so far this week, lol.
Chanel Allure Homme Blanche seems to be something suiting the mood of a hot, sunny beach.
Temperature is relatively cool. It does vary a bit but not massively. I keep them well away from any heat source. In fact, seeing that you live in the UK too, I imagine our conditions are identical....
I decided to make it permanent after no one believed us when we said that we saw it as everyone's avatar. ;)
I apologise if this question has been asked before, but I used the search function and a load of pretty irrelevant topics were all I could find.
The fragrance in question is D&G The One. Two...
When did you get your bottle?
I imagine you've both got different formulas - sadly the most recent one is reminiscent of something an old woman wear. The previous edition was gorgeous and delicious though.
I am so desperate to try this.
Don't have the guts to buy blind though. :(
Oh dear God no.
I'm football mad but the smell is definitely not one of the things that attracts me.
I wore Body Kouros for the first time on a night out 2 weeks ago, it was a posh ball sort of thing (I know BK isn't particularly suited to that, but I was desperate to wear it).
I smelt it again...
Hmm, with this attitude, I can't say I'd want to be in the same room as you at any point.
I asked the same question on here last year, and went with Eau Sauvage in the end.
Don't regret it one bit!
It has been reformulated at least twice.
I never tried the original formulation, which apparently was by far the best.
The second most recent reformulation was still very good - incredibly long...
1. Is it ANYTHING like Kouros? Not to my nose, no. Not at all.
2. Here at basenotes it has 8- votes and 73+, in your opinion is that a fair rating? I love it - so yes.
3. What other scents would...
Strange, in one picture the liquid is black, and in the other pale blue!
I'll 5th/6th/7th or whatever Dior Homme.
Also Burberry London. Absolutely dirth cheap, but boy you wouldn't think so from the smell.
I limit myself to 10 bottles at a time, so rather than post my 10 out and out favs, I'll use these.
Terre D'hermes - NO
Eau Sauvage - YES
M7 Fresh - NO
Joop Thrill - NO
Body Kouros - YES...
It's a shame that with two amazing fragrances in Dior Homme and Dior Homme Intense, plus another very good frag in Dior Homme Cologne, that this pile of mess beats them all.
Then again, not sure...
I sprayed half a spray on my wrist yesterday (you know, that pathetic first spray you get out of a new bottle).
It was strong for 4 hours and I could just about smell it after 7 hours. Were it a...
Acqua di Parma (10)
Armani (7) -
By Kilian (10)
I have just received a bottle, it looks like the bottom of seemon's two, I will report back with strength later. :)
No, I don't mean I won't like it.
I just mean maybe it's best not buying blind. I am still eager to try it.
I considered buying this blind a while ago. Seemed a nice summer option and I had no way to try it.
Glad I didn't after this post!
Another fan here. Hugely superior over the original Joop!, which after abusing as a 15/16 year old I could never go near again.
I grabbed it at a bargain price of £22 for 100ml.
Big thumbs down from me!
I was going to suggest this too.
Agreed on this one.
Nearly bought blind because of the hype, and because I struggled to find it anywhere. Eventually did find it and was relieved I'd not wasted my cash.
I wore it today and thought it had a bit of chocolate orangey-ness to it, glad I'm not the only one! ;)
Love the stuff though, give it another try OP. :)
Neroli by Czech and Speake, a lovely floral with Ylang.
It is unisex though, rather than masculine.
On my left wrist, a sample of Czech & Speake Oxford & Cambridge.
On my right wrist, a sample of Czech & Speake No. 88.
Very much like No. 88, not sure about O&C yet but I keep wanting to smell my...
Was this in reply to my post?
If so, I said COUNTY, not COUNTRY.
There is only one House of Fraser in the County I love in. ;)
I wear no scent when I study.
While I like the idea of certain scents energizing you, helping keep you interested etc, I find wearing anything just distracts me while working.
When did you purchase?
Feel unique is pretty good value. :)
How much was postage?
Cheers - I look forward to hearing how you get on with your new bottle!
Guess I should avoid cheap smells then!
Thierry Mugler A*Men Sunessence.
Was the last one they had in the only House of Fraser in the county.
Has anyone bought BK from www.cheapsmells.com ?
If so, how was it?
I'm eager to hear your results.
A shop-bought bottle probably provides a good idea to whether it really has been reformulated or whether some have just been unlucky with bad bottles!
Strange. Seemon and dreamer81 identical opened bottles, but completely different results. So I guess the different printing isn't the answer. :(
I am really gutted about this.
It has to be, surely!
Although last night, when I had complete nose blockage, Joop! was one of the frags I sprayed to test if I had any sense of smell at all, along with A*Men and M7. I couldn't...
No April fools after 12.00! Naughty! ;)
Habit Rouge from a sample vial.
SO much sweeter than I expected!
It is NOT an April fool on behalf of LeGrandDuc and others who have reported the weird avatar.
I have the same issue too.
I'm guessing it's an April fool on from the guys who run the site.
Oh god I hope not. :(
Have been wearing it from a vial this week and have loved it, this has put me off going ahead and purchasing though...
Can anyone clarify whether it has been reformulated?
I bought Mugler cologne in a department store in the UK just a few weeks ago!
As far as I am aware, House of Fraser is the only place you can try it I'm afraid. :(
However, there are a few sample sprays available on ebay. £3.99 for two 1.2ml, so quite steep. I'm going...
Smelt this today, bloody hell it's terrific.
Gutted to see that it is limited edition. Doubt I'll be able to find it cheaper than £47.00. With it being 20% off today in House of Fraser, I'm in a...
Come on Eau Sauvage, claw it back!
At the moment mine is:
I'll probably also wear Dior Homme too. I know I probably shouldn't but I doubt i'll be able to resist.
If it is the most recent formulation of Obsession that you would be purchasing, then that would certainly not make the list.
It is a pathetic shadow of its former self. And when I talk about its...
Having just this morning received my brand new 100ml bottle of Mugler, I think my choice is obvious. ;)
Thank you guys, that has cleared it up nicely - much appreciated.
Think I'll go for the first one, would prefer the security of knowing the atomizer was properly sealed.
Will also be the first...
I'm planning on buying a bottle of this delightful juice but am a bit confused over the bottling and packaging of it...
I have seen this bottle in my local department store:
That was my first ever fragrance.
Bought for me by someone else though, first I bought myself was probably D&G The One, before I had any real interest in fragrance.
Would love to be able to dip into the niche market but as a student my budget won't allow it...something for the future I guess!
Thanks for all the opinions guys, much appreciated.
Sorry, I am aware that these threads are VERY common, but really wanted some input.
I've sampled them all, and will sample again before purchasing, but wanted to see what others had to say too, as...
From a vial.
Very tempted to buy a full bottle.
Poor old Eau Sauvage is getting a battering here... so I'll give it a vote to spare its blushes.
I really enjoy The One. It is the only fragrance I owned 'pre-basenotes' that I have kept - the rest didn't cut the mustard when I discovered gems from here.
The One was probably the first...
Hmm, this thread has worried me now, making me think I ought to pack all my fragrances away into a cupboard or something.
The thing is though having my fragrances nicely on display and being able to...
I generally see fragrances as 'day' and night' fragrances. I guess my day fragrances are more summery, and my night fragrances more wintery... but I wear them depending on the occasion not the...
I've gone with mediocre. I was so excited about trying this, then when I finally got the chance to, I was so disappointed. It was almost as if I were spraying water onto my skin.
I then tried...
Gucci Pour Homme
It would be great at putting me to sleep. Cos I find it pretty damn boring...but that's just my opinion. If you enjoy it, wear it.
Two sprays of the new stuff gives me mega strength and silage for 10 hours, and I can still smell it 24 hours later.
Guess that shows what a difference skin can make.
I bought 9 bottles for myself in 2009.
Out of the 10 fragrances I now own I only had one previous to 2009, so I've basically revamped my collection.
Have limited myself to 10 though so won't be...
Break the bank and go for both!
I recently bought both and do not regret it one bit.
M7 is truly fantastic, but I wouldn't wear it out in the day time if I were paid, due to its...
I was hoping for:
Got them all except M7 Fresh, which I have just purchased online using Christmas money. :)
One spray of CK Obsession lasted me almost 2 weeks. It was actually incredibly irritating.
My skin must eat fragrance up, because I pretty much always put more than 10 sprays on, whatever fragrance I wear.
And it isn't overpowering at all - I get housemates to check and stuff.
Worst fragrance I have ever tried to be brutally honest.
Thank you all very much for your replies!
In that case I'll not hesitate to purchase an ETD.
First of all I apologise if what I am posting has been mentioned before, I realise that TD'H has been discussed to death, however after looking through previous topics I found none that I thought...
Am eagerly awaiting a vial of Terre D'Hermes I ordered last week.
Have not smelt it before but from the many reviews I have read I am desperate to try it and even more desperate to like it!...
I put two sprays on my arm on Friday afternoon, so about 72 hours ago. I did it along with about 10 other sprays on different parts of my body in a department store.
Despite having worn a couple...
Thanks for the responses guys, much appreciated.
I'm now very tempted to go for both!
Think I may get Eau Sauvage now, then a few months down the line, when funds allow it, add Pour Monsieur.
Was just to post a thread posing this exact question, thought I'd search first just in case it had been asked before, and to my surprise it has!
I'm reasonably new to the...
