I'm not positive, but they look like Silver Factory.
Hopefully someone who knows for sure will chime in.
Maybe because it's talking about a fragrance that was marketed to men.
Even if it was about Shalimar only, what difference does it make where it's posted?
After all, It is a fragrance forum. There...
Rose - Malle's Une Rose.
Leather - Montale's Oud Cuir d'Arabie / Keiko Mecheri's A Fleur de Peau.
In agreement with Ambre Narguile.
I don't get suede from Bel Ami.
It's all about spiced up leather to my nose.
I've never tried the original Kama.
From what I've read, the X-Treme is even more dirty and possibly more potent too.
If I were you, I would ask Serena if it would be possible to whip up some of...
I'm not sure if it's still in production, but Ava Luxe's Kama X-Treme (I own the parfum/extrait) is a dirty musk that is on the masculine side of unisex, imo. It's sort of like MMK with a few light...
It's definitely unisex to my nose.
Daim Blond by Serge Lutens.
L'Artisan's Bois Farine.
It's a totally unique, one of a kind fragrance.
A must try for lovers of strange scents.
Some people (myself included) already know what they will be wearing the next day.
I don't see the problem...
(from a sample)
For a somewhat different take on green, there is Pentachord Verdant by Andy Tauer.
Another good one that hasn't been mentioned yet is L'Artisan's Fleur de Liane.
Jardin du Nil
It's very sad. But they probably didn't have a choice.
More than likely, it's another consequence of the damn IFRA regulations!
After all, they have to protect everyone from all the potential...
Parfums de Nicolai's Balle de Match (now known as L'Eau de Sport).
Another scent you might want to check out is Knize Sec.
It's a rather unique take on leather. An incense leather.
The leather is not super potent but it's definitely there in the base.
(vintage - from a sample)
I second the recommendation of Cuir Ottoman.
Like Cuiron, I would put it in the smooth category. Though not as smooth.
Other than that, they are totally different. CO is higher quality, much...
You might come to enjoy it again in the future.
Arsenic, Bulletproof and Excess all sound interesting.
A few I enjoy.
Parfum d'Empire - Wazamba -- apple
Montale - Mango Manga -- mango
Agatha Brown - Imperial Jade Emperor -- black currant / muscat grape
Bond No.9 - Riverside Drive and SOPFM --...
This. I only know the vintage as well.
There is a light ylang ylang note in there, but this all about the coffee, spices and woods,
One of the greats, imo.
Especially the original formulation.
I highly recommend sampling New York by Parfums de Nicolai.
It's even better (imo) and has a similar vibe. It's cheaper too.
Bois du Portugal perhaps.
Or maybe Original Santal.
Life's too short to be so damn serious all the time!
I'll just leave it at that.
We will just have to agree to disagree.
Life's too short...
I meant to quote stuigi's last...
That's why I said every so often.
It would get very old, very fast, if they were posted everyday.
As to the line, I really don't know. That's up to the mods.
Actually, the more I think about...
I see many prolific members, some long term, contributing.
Hednic, for example, is definitely a 'serious collector'.
Well, I consider myself a 'serious collector'.
Although some might consider them childish, I don't think I'm too good to participate if I feel like it.
There is nothing wrong with lighthearted...
I hope your joking.
You win this thread.
Hold the Island Water...
I just want to add I've never had the opportunity to try vintage Samsara.
As a sandalwood lover, I really hope I get to experience it someday...
I know it's not designer, but this would be my pick. Very unisex, It's not too strong - stays close to the skin, but lasts a long time.
It has the typical, high quality ingredients you expect from...
I own this bottle of Samsara EDT.
It has the short list (alcohol, fragrance, water, color) of ingredients...
Thanks for reminding me about that site.
I should have thought of that before.
OK I just checked it out.
It appears my bottle is from the '90's. Somewhere after '91, but before '98.
I was lucky enough to score a bell jar of ISM from The Perfume Shoppe in Canada back in '04 or '05 I think it was.
This was back when Paris exclusive SL's were extremely hard to get in North...
Yes, I shouldn't have been rude.
Your reply to hednic came across as snarky to me. But I probably just took it the wrong way.
It's sometimes hard to gauge the intent of people's words on the...
Why didn't you just add your info to that thread?
It makes no sense to start a different thread about the same new scent 2 hours later with essentially the same title.
Since TX doesn't have a wardrobe, thanks for the Egoiste Cologne Concentree Mancio!
Although the notes aren't groundbreaking or unique, they sound solid.
Coming from CN, I'm sure it's much better than the majority of designer fragrances that use many of the same...
I must have misunderstood the previous post.
It smells great to me -- doesn't smell like it's turned. Of course I don't have much to compare it to. I have only a small amount left in an official...
I'll enjoy the Memoir Man Wit.
When I hear chocolate orange, this is the first thing I think of.
Now I wish I had one...
Those Jaffa Cakes sound kind...
Thanks for the info Wheat.
Wow! I was thinking the '80's or '90's. But it could even be from the '70's!
It might have been this thread.
Unfortunately, some of the pics are no longer available.
I thought I remembered that thread too.
I did a search and couldn't seem to find it.
