Apparently, now, ex girlfriend.
This one's gonna get a lot of flak.
1. Yves Saint Laurent M7
2. Versace Blue Jeans
3. Armani Code
4. Burberry Brit For Men
5. Serge Lutens Muscs de Kublai Khan
I know you can get free samples at Sephora, but where else can you get samples of fragrances, in physical stores as opposed to the internet, for cheap or with purchase?
Out of curiosity didn't Turin review this as awful?
Need to get my hands on some good Bvlgari. Will get on that soon.
I don't know if this is niche enough for you but Lolita Lempicka Au Masculin?
Don't reel too hard.
Bottle is indeed gorgeous.
M7. I want to be remembered as THAT GUY.
Versus is a branch of Versace.
Also never heard of it.
Never seen Rive Gauche or M7.
The M7 I believe is due to the penis. You know which one I mean.
"And then from his hand sprang a fountain of holy Kouros, which to this day graces the land"
Classic Xeryus perhaps?
General opinions aren't great. I myself don't dislike it, but it's a subtle kind of smell that doesn't denote sexy for me. It's simply not interesting. And no, I don't get a B.O. scent of it.
Right. I've always wanted to work as a fragrance sales associate at like Sephora or something. Bringing a little class to the business.
Acqua Di Gio and Only The Brave.
Best of luck, mate.
Try something Vetiver.
Davidoff Cool Water- 9.99
Versace Blue Jeans 19.99
Lacoste Essential 29.99
Azzaro Pour Homme 19.99
Bvlgari BLV Notte 15.99
Well emphasized on the "toilette" part.
Me too. It works very well on me. At least myself and the ladies around here think so.
I haven't smelled La Nuit but I do expect it to be good. I've traditionally enjoyed YSL's offerings.
I enjoy both scents. I find A*Men to generally be a brighter scent, with the aforementioned chocolate drydown. B*Men is more reserved, but a tad more bitter as well.
I haven't smelled Guerlain Homme but YSL's L'Homme is a pretty sweet and dignified scent.
Anyone else enjoy lightly sniffing the post-ignition fumes from a Zippo at a safe healthy distance?
I really, really like the icons.
Kouros. Will blend right in with your piss and the beer.
I agree with Essential, and Code. There's plenty of similar aquas to Bvlgari Aqua though. Perry Ellis Red 360 is very similar to Acqua Di Gio. Allure Homme Sport is like a few other sport fragrances...
I think your assessment is kinda correct. But I'd imagine someone like that to wear something...at least a tad more expensive.
Seconding Mugler Cologne, suggesting Yves Saint Laurent L'Homme.
Nausea for me arises from dissecting cats and Burberry's The Beat for Men.
How much are small samples at Sephora?
I like L'Eau d'Issey in the same way I like Le Male.
Both have gained popularity in recent years. Both are enjoyable to smell. Both smell awful on me.
Yeah, I think Coolwater and Allure Homme are my big ones. Essential is another great one.
Code is kind of nighttime, but I've got M7 and Antaeus for that too.
I'm a young adult male. What's my most suitable daily scent? I own all of these, and it's just for fun that I'm doing this.
This may be one of the most beautifully written sentiments out there on fragrance and addiction.
It deserves a plaque, to be posted onto the wall of Ernie Gallo's Fragrance Abuse Clinic.
Asking if a fragrance is a masterpiece is like asking if a certain soccer team is unarguably the best. It just doesn't work.
If by masterpiece you mean drydown-sillage-accord masterpiece, I would...
I don't hate Calvin Klein like everyone else does.
I think it'll be decent? Can't say for sure though. Name doesn't do much...impression.
Haha, I actually really like that one.
And to Shamu, just find the link for the picture itself (not the html, the picture file, like the .jpg or .png or rarely .bmp), and then paste it into the ...
The new Yves Rocher is decent.
My vote would be Armani Attitude.
Both rather junky designer fragrances.
Issey Miyake is inoffensive, and not good if you want to make a statement. It has its bitter bits but other than that is an excellent fragrance to be wearing if you don't want to make a splash but...
Perry Ellis 360?
I tend to have the opposite happen to me. When a girl wears Emporio Armani He...
Er...no mention of Dior's Poisons?
Angel, typically. Alien's nice too. Bvlgari Black, also.
I like M7 and Versace Blue Jeans, although Blue Jeans is not overpowering to me.
One really powerful scent that comes to mind is Burberry's The Beat for Men.
Perry Ellis 360. Far too sour-bitter-boring.
In this respect, although it's not complex enough to be esoteric, Armani Code works like fire.
Admittedly I definitely do, but I do spend money on samples and the like on niche houses.
Try Versace Blue Jeans, if you're younger.
If I had a bottle of that I'd be doing the same.
Actually I wonder how cologne burns?
I do find it sick. I feel like if a teenager wants to get into quality fragrances, one should start in quality designer and niche houses. If you haven't smelled anything by Guerlain you shouldn't...
I can't answer your question, but I can say that if it was true I'd be very sad. The esoteric effect would be all but gone.
That one works especially well on my lady. The notes dry down quite well. ;)
All kiddings aside I enjoy Shalimar and Angel on my girl. Typical, I know.
I refill my Shalimar bottles with goat piss and sell them to my mother's annoying friends.
No, that's a lie.
I can't get off my girl when she's got Angel, Shalimar, or Agent Provocateur Strip on.
If you like AdG, you might also like freshly excreted cat piss.
Just kidding. I just don't like Acqua di Gio.
Knize is considered niche, correct?
Versace Blue Jeans!
Mostly the male stuff that I'm curious about. Are 212 and 212 Sexy any good? Or do they just smell like cat piss to everyone?
Hugo Element's sample smelled kinda Ed Hardy/Usher cheap to me.
I've heard that term used very frequently here on BN, and I'm not sure what it really means.
So far I've gathered that it includes:
* Chanel Antaeus
* Yves Saint Laurent Kouros
I would say Armani Code, Chanel Antaeus, Rive Gauche pH, or your own flipping pheromones.
I'm not surprised M7 isn't mentioned here. I love my M7, even though I guess it does have a bit too much hype, at least here on BN.
For overrated I'm going to say Acqua di Gio and Lacoste Booster...
Found YSL Opium at TJ Maxx for $15 at 1.7 oz...
You can get something that cheap or even cheaper on eBay. Genuine 4.2oz Rive Gauche PH.
I'm rather a newbie to fragrances myself, but I've found a good bit of stuff at my local TJ Maxx. I'd like to ask you all if there's any I should get?
I've seen: CK Man, Cool Water Cool Summer,...
I'm definitely feeling that. :)
I'm a high-school student myself, and thus find myself paying for everything. Which is why I don't have a lot, but here it is!
Not so in my opinion. The original Armani code didn't have that many notes to start with.
My local TJ Maxx and Marshall's don't stock anything but cheap Britney Spears and the entire Elizabeth Arden lineup...
I've always known "aromatic" as involving a certain smell of benzene, a six-ringed carbon.
What type of music would you interpret your favorite cologne to be?
I myself see my Yves Saint Laurent M7 as a slow, bass-heavy electro tune, like Cirez D's Punch Drunk.
Or Versace's Blue Jeans...
Is that bottle not gorgeous?
Not for $120, I know, but...venturing away from the price, is it not?
I prefer Armani Code.
The right concentration of it has them thinking the operation's already complete.
