  1. Re: New Fragrances: Davidoff Cool Water Pure Pacific

Winner of this thread. What happened to the good old Cool Water?

    Re: An Electronic Smelling Fragrance

Well, I just tried both Odeur 53 and 71. They smell so synthetic that it feels intoxicating.

I guess I'll leave the smell to the electronic stuff.

    Re: An Electronic Smelling Fragrance

I often thought the same. You can smell that scent on smaller electronic products (a mobile phone, wireless router etc.) more often than on bigger ones.

    An Electronic Smelling Fragrance

Are you one of those people that smell everything? Like a book you just bought?

I really like the smell of brand new electronic devices. And I think there is a cologne that smells like these new...

Re: Original Cool Water - Not the same!

That's a tough one. It is more likely second generation as most of them are.

Re: Original Cool Water - Not the same!

Well, after a month of research and thanks to some of the very knowledgeable and helpful Basenoters, this is my conclusion about my all-time favourite EDT:

Contrary to popular belief, Cool Water...

Cool Water Fan Wants Somthing Rather Warm

I've been a big fan of Cool Water since my early teenage days. To me, it is a great relaxing cool one for summer and hot seasons. But now that the cold season is coming, I've decided to stop my...
  9. Poll: Re: Green Irish Tweed vs. Chez Bond vs. Cool Water vs. Freshman (Truefitt & Hill)

I disagree. I like Cool Water more than GIT. All the *elitists* here will probably bash me for that, saying Cool Water smells more synthetic (which I agree) using cheaper materials (which I also...

    Re: Reformulated Fragrance List

Well, I have emailed Davidoff about this, doubt if I can get a clarification on it, but I'm hoping to. I believe the Coty Prestige's acquisition of Davidoff has a big part in the reformulation.
  12. Poll: Re: Green Irish Tweed vs. Chez Bond vs. Cool Water vs. Freshman (Truefitt & Hill)

I prefer old Cool Water from back in the 90s to all of them, even though I respect GIT and consider it a work of art. But the new Cool Water reformulation is just terrible, so I'd go with GIT....

    Re: Reformulated Fragrance List

Davidoff Cool Water for men, my favourite of all time, has had a big reformulation, I suspect from 2004-5 onwards. Materials used are much cheaper, smells too sweet, too much lavender and not as much...

  15. Re: Does anyone feel a difference between new Davidoff Cool Water and the old ones?

Unfortunately I find it hard to get used to the new smell. True that it still has a lot of similarities to the original Cool Water from a decade ago, but to me, is not the same. I wonder what...
  16. Does anyone feel a difference between new Davidoff Cool Water and the old ones?

    Hi,

I have always been a big fan of Davidoff Cool Water since I smelled it when I was a teenager. In fact, Cool Water has been the ONLY fragrance I've been wearing for a good 13 years. However, I...
