Win a Bond No. 9 Bon Bon Box (worth $240) in our competition
Ever fancied yourself as a perfumer? Have you dreamt up a secret formula for your ultimate fragrance? Are you so inspired by your surroundings that you want to capture the essence of them in a bottle? Well, while we cannot help you to realise your dream of becoming a master perfumer or get you a contract with a top niche house, we can offer you a bit of fun and the chance to use your imagination. Enter our Bond No.9 sponsored competition and you could win their coveted bon bon box as well as having your winning fragrance idea featured on the front page in February.

Bond No.9 have channeled the spirit, personality and cultural life of some of New York's most famous neighbourhoods. From the glamorous Madison Soiree to the edgy Wall Street and the Vibrant West Side, each place has become part of perfume history. Laurice Rahme, founder of Bond No.9, said in a recent Basenotes interview: "The city is endlessly renewing itself to keep up with our dynamic New York neighborhoods that change every other year. It is that spirit of that specific neighborhood we work on with passion to capture." Laurice's 27 choices (so far, with more planned) of neighborhoods to capture in a bottle have won her an army of fans.

But where in the world would you draw your inspiration from? What would drive you to create a fragrance in honour of a special location? We want to hear about your location-based fantasy fragrances for our Bond No.9 sponsored competition. Let us know where, why, which notes, which ingredients etc. using the form below. The lucky winner will receive a Bond No.9 bon bon box – candy coloured vials of 18 favourites from the Bond range, which would normally retail for $240. Not only are they perfectly portable but you can refill them too. The winner of this luxurious prize will be chosen from a shortlist and announced on January 31st. Get creative! Remember the winner will not be chosen at random, but will be judged on creativity and imagination so give it some real thought and wow us with your inspirational concoctions. The closing date for entries is December 31st 2006. Good luck!
