red lipsticks..continued...Best RUBY REDS?

I am a fan of red lipsticks as well...I am trying to find the perfect shade of a Ruby Red listick..tired of reds that look too orangey..too bright red....too pinky..too dark or purply.Just a nice deep ruby red lipstick..

Your finds??I prefer lipstick fornm and not glosses or liquids.

I'll have to go through my lipsticks -- I think I have quite a few ruby reds. I recently bought Dior Rouge 865 Ruby, but it's pretty intense (or dark); not really purple but it does lean to the blue side -- not at all bright red or orange red, though.

Hi!

Check out MAC. They have color swatches and descriptions @ www.maccosmetics.com. I'm sure they have several ruby reds. If you like matte lipsticks, consider Ruby Woo. Also, if you have access to Bobbi Brown, many people like her Ruby lip stain.

Carlita, which brands do you like or have access to? That information may help us to give you the right suggestions. In the meantime, Chanel and Clarins have a nice selection of red shades IMO. I don't know specific shade names or numbers.

I like Fresh f21c Regents Park-- it's neutral/cool but not berry...not browned out either.. and is sheer but buildable

I hope it's not discontinued due to many changes in make up range every year!

Dior (maybe at the moment it's Dior Rouge, I know it as Dior Collection; I think they kept this colour because it's Dior calssic) Collection 863 - hollyday red
Same Dior range - 763 - indian red
Diorific 003

MAC has a great selection of reds in different formulas. Clarins has some very nice reds, too. Also Prescriptives if you look at the shades in the "yellow orange" and "red" subdivisions.
