cannes is a pretentious place full of old women with grey/blue hair, very expensive jewelery carrying unfeasably small dogs as if they were babies and freely expressing a very condescending attitude to anyone who isn't VERY wealthy .

I know, it's true though. Having lived here for 10 years I can say that NYC is very much "an American Pie" - attractive, appealing but thin crust on top, break it and you get into ugly, sticky mess you wish you didn't touch in the first place. I love NYC!
