Long lasting summer fragrance

Thread Starter
Hi all,
Is there any fragrance for summer that lasts long? I have tried clinique happy, cool water etc but nothing seems to last more than couple of hours? Any suggestion will be helpful.
Thanks

Hi,

These are very long lasting on me and are good for summer:

L'Eau d'Issey
Platinum Egoiste
Chrome
Givenchy PH Blue Label
Good Life
Guerlain Vetiver
KenzoAir
Miracle L'Aquatonic
Lanvin l'Homme
Eau de Rochas
Mugler Cologne

Azzaro Chrome lasts a long time. However I wouldn't be surprised if those frags you mentioned last longer than you think. Olfactory fatigue can be a bitch like that.

Hi Saurya,
-
While most people disagree with Envy, I'm using it in summer here, and it smells wonderful, and lasts long too. Other long-lasters (from my wardrobe) are Drakkar Noir, Platinum Egoiste, Paco Rabanne PH and XS, Swiss Army. Bear in mind, that if applied in the daytime, its SO hot these days (touching 43 C and more daily - India) that even the long lasting perfumes barely cross the 3 hour mark.

Live Jazz
Armani PH
both long lasting and perfect for summer time

I just found a good summery fragrance with real lasting power: Mike Storer's 'Il Giardino.' It's a nice blend of sweet citrussy notes that lasted all day on my skin.

Chrome and L'eau D'Issey last all day on me. Kenzo PH is another long-lasting one, as well as Hilfiger Athletics... very nice Grapefruit note in it.

Try Fendi. It's great and lasts all day!

I'm assuming that you are considering the men's versions of the fragrances listed considering where you are posting. It has notes including marjoram, lavender, coriander, jasmine, leather and musk. If it's actually the feminine versions you like (ambiguous from the initial posting), then you get nice notes including bergamot, rosewood, lily of the valley, moss, vanilla and musk. Both usually last all day for me.

Nice list! I own and enjoy Good Life, Guerlain Vetiver, and Eau de Rochas. To these I would add Monsieur Balmain, many from Guerlain's Aqua Allegoria series, Eau de Guerlain, Signoricci, Versace's Green Jeans and Dreamer, and Acqua di Parma Colonia (+Assoluta). Good luck!

Indeed, Chrome lasts quite a while. Utterly synthetic, but I rather liked the juice.

Also try:
Tabac Original
YSL Pour Homme (or YSL PH Haute Concentration)

Declaration has decent longevity and works great in the summer.

I'll second The Dreamer, Baldessarini Del Mar, and Laguna (for evenings).

How could I have failed to mention Tangerine Vert by Miller Harris? This is an artfully blended scent, and because it is an EDP it lasts quite a while for a citrus-based scent. The tangerine-based citrus topnotes gracefully incorporate marjoram, before resting upon a base of moss, cedar, and musk. This is a soft though slightly effervencent scent that stays close to the skin. Did I mention that this is artfully blended? Totally deserving of mention in this thread.

If you are engaged in average activity, most of the ones mentioned above will be fine. But if you are engaged in lots of walking in hot summer weather (as I was last year in Europe), Chrome is the ultimate summer scent. The others all conked out on me at various points in the day, but Chrome never let me down. Laguna was my second longest laster.

Other long lasting citrus and aquatic/marine summer favourites are
Aqua di Portofino
L'Eau D'Issey
Kenzo Homme
Halston Unbound
Michael Jordan Cologne
Tommy T
Gant Indigo
Benetton Sport Man
Zipped Sport (by Perfumers workshop)

The latter two are usually found very cheaply, but in terms of freshness and longevity, put numerous more expensive citrus ones to shame.

I agree. Benetton Sport is a very reasonably priced cologne, and it has great lasting power, too. You'll probably be able to find a 3.4 oz bottle of it for less than $15 USD. It's a simple and casual Citrus.

Maybe it's because I often wear it to the beach where people typically don't wear scents - but if I count them, I've gotten far more compliments on Benetton Sport from women than on any other scent I own.

+1 L'Eau D'Issey

A*MEN Sunessence Orage D'Ete. Will last and last and last. You really need to check it out. (For the record, not the same juice as Summer Flash, that's Ice*Men.) I will also agree that New West is a good choice; more of a day time scent.

On my skin:

L'Eau d'Issey
Nautica Voyage
Azzaro Chrome

I would imagine Tom Ford Neroli Portofino will do the trick.

I concur on Miller Harris Tangerine Vert, one of the longer lasting citrus fragrances.

But, and people will differ, let me throw out there Acqua di Parma Colonia. When i first wore it, I thought it was good for 4 to 6 hours. I am now rocking 9 hours and this thing is going very well. A lemony accord that is not like furniture polish but can come across as rose-like, and sometimes it stays floral, sometimes soapy.
