Opinions on Kiton & Kiton Napoli

Lately I've been contemplating the purchase of Kiton, and Kiton Napoli.
I'd like to know what they smell like? Are they worth the money, or am I better off with something else?

Thanks.

Kiton and De Nicolaïs New York are my only favorites this far. They are entirely different fragrances in smell and style. What they have in common though is the harmonious and smooth blending of all the notes used so that you cannot detect any of the single notes alone no matter how much you try. That is why it does not help to know that Kiton has mace and pineapple with the usual suspects, bergamot, lemon, violet, muguet, tonka, atlas cedar, oakmoss and musc. Kiton does not remind me of any other fragrance I have ever smelt that contains those notes. It does evoke in my mind a superbly outfitted Gary Cooper though. I do not know whether it will still remind me of urbane and fastidious upper class men if it becomes popular but I certainly hope it does not get too popular. I shall check out Napoli as soon as it become available in my area.

I have yet to try any Kiton fragrances. I can, however, vouch for the quality of their suits! (duh)

Thanks for sharing your thoughts OSME.
I just placed my order for the Kiton for Men. The only problem is that I'm finding that Kiton Napoli is extremely rare.
If anyone knows where to get it, please let me know.

Thanks.

To my nose Kiton shares a similarity with D&G PH. These two are different scents in terms of notes but for some reason I always connect the two. Perhaps it's the sharpness off the top and the deep basenotes. Kiton is more masculine and isn't as versatile IMO. It is a formal scent whereas D&G can be worn casually.

I've never smelled Napoli either. To date, Kiton is the most expensive scent purchase I've ever made. I will be astounded if you are not impressed.

Both are very good colognes but nothing particularly exceptional about them (woody with lighter top notes Kiton signature and fresh-flowery-ambery Napoli). They are are quite rare and expensive here in Moscow and I'm not going to invest in either.

I love this one. a musky woody scent that lasts all day. Unmistakable and refined. You can buy Kiton Napoli here:

and of course, it shows up on eBay now and then.

Hey Griff,

Thanks a lot for the link; I'd almost given up on finding the Napoli.

Kiton for Men is classy and professional and not cloying. My local Nordstroms carries it -- not sure on the Napoli. Good purchase man.

I ordered Napoli blind from Strawberrynet, and it should be here in the next few days. It seems to have shown up at quite a few sites in the last few weeks.

Your opinion is indeed correct. I should have Napoli in the next two days - though I'd be surprised if it could actually rival Kiton.
