Kiton and De Nicolaïs New York are my only favorites this far. They are entirely different fragrances in smell and style. What they have in common though is the harmonious and smooth blending of all the notes used so that you cannot detect any of the single notes alone no matter how much you try. That is why it does not help to know that Kiton has mace and pineapple with the usual suspects, bergamot, lemon, violet, muguet, tonka, atlas cedar, oakmoss and musc. Kiton does not remind me of any other fragrance I have ever smelt that contains those notes. It does evoke in my mind a superbly outfitted Gary Cooper though. I do not know whether it will still remind me of urbane and fastidious upper class men if it becomes popular but I certainly hope it does not get too popular. I shall check out Napoli as soon as it become available in my area.
