Fragrance on an Interview REDUX

OK, everyone, remember the brouhaha over this topic a while back? You will also recall I was one of those staunchly against wearing ANY fragrance to an interview. I am now giving the opposition a chance to make me eat my words. I am offering myself up for an experiment in this situation. I have a job interview next week. I am more than willing to wear a fragrance from my wardrobe.

So, check out my wardrobe--I am open to any suggestions within reason.

Obviously, suggesting something like Rockin' Rio is not within reason for this situation--use proper judgment.

I will wear the scent to my interview and give a full report afterward.

[And yes, I realize this is a "women's fragrance topic" but the original thread was on here.]

Well then.

POO on all of you. Not one response. I thought I would at least hear from docluv45, who was pretty passionate about wearing frag to an interview. Not to mention there were several of you who shared his opinion about the matter.

I'd wear D&G Light Blue, as it smells great, it's fresh, and it doesn't really come off as seductive/sexual (at least to my nose).

Well well well, lol, i was one of those who went against frag for an interview. But of course if i were held at gun point to wear something, something light would obviously be ideal. How about some Island Kiss or DG Light Blue, i find the Light Blue really seductive, have to get that one for my gf, but hopefully you wont be seducing the interviewer , lol but in any case that would be an extra. I dont know much of your wardrobe since my knowledge in women's realm is still shallow, so sorry about that. By the way, cant help to notice some interesting things in your drobe, O MY CAT???? LOL!!!! What kinda fragrance is that? For cats?? Interesting! Anyway, Best!

Hahahahahaha--Oh My Cat? is one of those that is very hard to explain when someone compliments me on it. Cats are supposed to like it (at least the brand claims as much), but mine don't seem to really care either way. My cats are such assholes.

And I think Light Blue is a pretty good suggestion. Island Kiss is nice but I think it is a bit too frivolous, fruity and flirty (like the alliteration there?) for a job interview. I think Lovely might work as well.

i wasn't around for the original debate but i see nothing wrong with wearing fragrance to an interview. i'd go with either Vera Wang, Lovely or Chance. i like light blue as well but somehow i think whether or not it's appropriate for an interview depends on your age.

L'eau d'Issey sounds good: a touch of bleached cyclamen exuding faint feminility armoured in an aseptic, steely cuirass of professionalism.

Btw, I've always worn (the appropriate) scents to job interview and had no troubles at all: as in other situations, scent complements the image you want to give, so a clean/serious/professional type of scent will help emphasizing this percivable allure. The only advice is light application!

Wear something not too "out there" if you know what I mean, and go easy on the trigger. Why not Eternity from you drobe? It will not offend anyone.

SJP - Lovely speaks to me right away. But Peppermint from CdG would without a doubt what I'd love to smell on someone I was interviewing. It smelled like heaven on my ex-girlfriend.

Always happy to answer a girl's question (most of us guys get clobbered when we turn to the girls on the female frag section)
here r my thoughts

Armani Mania (if the original black bottle) - incensey, fresh - suggests a woman in control of her career

Chanel Chance - green notes, fresh - suggests a young woman with style

Very Irresistible - rose and spice, fresh - classy modern woman

I guess it all depends what sort of impression you'd like to leave, anywho I wouldn't suggest Angel or any Escada (you can wear those around your sweetheart) this all imho of course

OK...I still don't believe in frags at interviews, but that debate has come and gone. This is purely for my investigative purposes only.

Plus, it will give me something to blame if I don't get the job! ;D

hahaha. i spend more time on this board than the women's board. and my question isn't exactly like the questions we give you guys shit about--all of y'all's variations on "what male frag makes women throw their sopping panties at me?"

it would be like one of the girls constantly posting a question like, "what female frag gives guys a gigantic BONER??"

not that i think y'all would really tire of such a question over here though. :

we answer guys' questions over there all the time!!
