With all due respect, those are their opinions. what matters most is your own, if you like it, wear it. if it doesn't stop women in their tracks don't worry about it, it won't get you dirty looks or insults either.
It's a decent enough scent ... but I rarely reach for it. There are so many better scents out there in this category ( Soprani Uomo or Creed Vetiver 1948 to name a few ).
I'd say it depends on how cheap you can get it. Maybe if you don't like it, you could put it on your swaplist. I think it smells a bit like Platinum Egoiste, Paco XS and stuff like that, so if you like these but don't have them...
