summer office frags

what's up BN...new to the board so first just wanna say hello to everyone out there.

what i'm lookin for is a few recommendations of some summer scents which can be worn to the office. i currently wear Hugo Boss Hugo on occasions but i'm lookin to branch out and try some new things. i'm a shirt and tie guy so i'm not lookin for anything too over the top. just something fresh, classy, and maybe with a bit of complexity. so what do think?

Welcome to the board!
I'm wearing Guerlain's Vetiver right now, but my workplace isn't exactly a shirt-and-tie environment. Some people might think that the soil/outdoor accords are inappropriate the the office, but other people swear by it.

Some popular office scents are Gendarme, Burberry Brit, Dolce & Gabbana, Versace Jeans, etc. Most scents (IMO) could be worn at the office, as long as you use some discretion in your application.

Here are some of my favorites,

Muglar - Cologne
Creed - Git or Imperial (although I'm reluctant to waste these on the office)
Hugh Parsons - Blue (my new favorite, it's light and fresh, but still has a lot of complexity)
Hermes - Eau d'Orange Verte (an old citrus with woods)

Live Jazz is definitely on my list to try. Been readin a lot about this one on here.

to the cat that mentioned Black Code, that's actually what i usually wear out at night. never really thought of that one as a daytime office wear. but hey everyone's taste are different.

Use sparingly and you'll be good to go, I don't mean it is a strong scent but overspraying any scent and wearing it @ the office creates an "atmosphere" Â*

and ChrisW man, how many times do I have to praise RG, it is a beautiful powdery fresh scent?

haha perfectscent - I'm trying to do as your name implies by finding the perfect blind buy scent! I've narrowed it down between XS and Rive Gauche, both seem great for all around scents and I'm having a real tough time!


I think the final decision will be made tonight when I put my order in though.

ChrisW, XS is in line of the other fragrances you already own (I just peeked at your wardrobe) being that thy're all fresh green imo RG is nothing like you already own but I must stress - it's my oppinion again. I wore XS back then and just recently got introduced to RG, had no regrets. nuff said
