Female Scents Men Can Get Away With

The question is very simple... Which female fragrances do you wear, my fellow men? Which ones are masculine enough, but also sensual? Your recommendations

Lovely by Sarah Jessica Parker. She herself actually based it on masculine scents, and I find it very unisex.

My favorite female frag to wear is Mitsouko by Guerlain. I actually find it more suited on males than females

Donna Karan Black Cashmere

Guerlain Mitsouko

My latest favorite, Youth Dew Amber Nude, one could mistake it for Chanel Egoiste if they didn't know any better, has the longest lasting basenotes, close to the skin, but sweet, and sensual.

I can wear Frederic Malle's "Angeliques Sous La Pluie"- it smells great on me. It's creator is Jean-Claude Ellena and it would be a good scent for the coming summer months. It's a good alternative to Annick Goutal's Eau de L'Hadrian.

Caron Tabac Blond Extrait

the only one I can really think of.

Ditto.

As Mitsouko and Tabac Blonde are recommended already, I add something else.

Sous le Vent Guerlain
Alpona Caron
Parfum Sacre Caron
Diorella Christian Dior
Miss Dior CD
Chanel #19 Chanel
Aromatics Elixir Clinique
Cabochard Gres
Jolie Madame Balmain
La Nuit Paco Rabanne

to say some more - almost every feminine `chypre cuir` or `chypre` of 40-70 years XX century could be in mens collection. And noone would tell you it`s effeminate your image!

Re-post from the earlier thread:

Speaking of dirty, I like Bandit a lot, and I wear it sometimes. I recently purchased Boucheron Trouble for myself. I also have and wear Hermès Hiris, Cartier Le Baiser du Dragon, Acqua di Parma Profumo, and Guerlain's immortal Jicky.

I`m ordering (blind) La Nuit by Paco Rabanne. I think I will love it. I hope so, at least.

Btw, does anyman have any information to give about this scent?? I would highly appereciate that! [smiley=thumbsup.gif]

I read that Dolce Light Blue is a good frag for men. I will test my wife's Dolce LB. In fact, will do so now and will report my findings... don't tell my wife. mm

Three I wear and love:
Cartier's Baiser du Dragon
Guerlain's Samsara
Chopard's Casmir

And I've been eyeing:
SJP's Lovely
Narciso Rodriguez's Musk Oil

I have a long long long list of so-called "feminine" scents that I enjoy wearing and I've posted them here too many times to mention but I did just find a new one I adore.

Blu Notte Pour Femme (thank you Marlen!)

To this nose, the "femme" edition of this recent Bvlgari is much more complex and fascinating than the headstrong "homme" version (which, on my last trip to Italy, seemed to be as omnipresent as AdG here in the states. It was all a little queasy making). An aromatic, slightly sweet ginger and vodka-based concoction with a hint of coco and lime topnotes. Leans towards "gourmand" (obviously) but not heavy like some others which shall be implied but nameless.

Easily worn by a gentleman. Try it.

i wear these:
Premier Figuier
Eau des Merveilles
Narciso Rodriguez For Her
Youth Dew Amber Nude
Miss Dior Cherie
I don't wear, but recognize that Eau de Marveilles could easily be worn by a man.

I wear vintage Miss Dior and Jicky EDT (I thought Jicky was considered unisex).
I'd like to try Vol de Nuit.

There are a bunch I've worn but can't remember right now. JaimeB's suggestion of Bandit is dead on though, it's the first that should have popped into my brain. Both the edt and the edp, which are easily distinguished from each other, work really well on me. (Bandit for men bottles exist, but I'm not talking about those. I mean the simple Bandit that's sold on women's scent shelves.)

I wear Jicky and L'Heure Bleue as well, but you really need to be in the mood for L'Heure Bleue or be ready for it to control your mood while you wear it. Great stuff and immortal. I wore Vent Vert once as well, last summer, and it was too floral for about an hour, then dried into a beautiful steel smelling herbal sharpness. I dug it but it might go too far. I'll check it out again.

Vicomte mentions Miss Dior. I've got the old style one, not Miss Dior Cherie, but I don't know that mine is a vintage mixture as K wears, but man alive Miss Dior is really amazing. Whole different scent circles swirling around in different places inside your nose when you smell it. Just plain delicious and amazing. So special I don't want to smell it often because I never want to get used to the ride the scent gives me. I want the same trip everytime, so that means I can only take the trip in rare moments of despiration.
