My spring fragrance this year is Dilmun by Lorenzo Villoresi, orange blossom and neroli and green...can't wait!
Geir for sure.

Passage d'Enfer - kinda maybe sorta soft? anyway its definately flowers + incense

and I could be wrong about this one, but to me it is very floral: Bvlgari PH

I like Osmanthus and Sampaquita

I second Insensé by Givenchy which is to my knowledge the male cologne using the most floral notes. Insensé has a heart of magnolia, lily of the valley and Iris yet it's very masculine.

In a more gourmand style, yet very soft you should also try the new Dior Homme with it's powdery iris note. Many Basenoters (including myself) consider it as 2005 best release.

Malle En Passant, the scent of lilacs and fresh baked bread.

Lacost Essential is very flowery

Dior Homme is very flowery

I second Bvlgari PH! (Burbery Touch is kinda similar but stronger)
Fracas for men is also a nice floral one!
I also love Eau de L'Occitan.

Yeah, Dior Homme is the number one best way for a man to pull of smelling like flowers, IMO

Herrera 212. Excellent soft musky-floral.

I couldn't help but notice that Colin (docluv45) mentioned Tenere by Paco Rabanne. It's definitely floral, but I find it pretty rich. For a "softer" floral, I'd agree with Geir (tried that one recently and liked it), and I'll add in Tactics by Shiseido. A little tough to find, but a very interesting "fresh" floral!!

Good Luck!!!

How 'bout Amouage Dia?

The PERFECT floral, springtime fragrance for men is Cacharel Pour Homme. A dainty little floral. I'm surprised it has not been mentioned yet.
I would recommend Dunhill Fresh. Look at the reviews at http://www.basenotes.net/ID26123324.html

Hi, Try Dolce and Gabanna original , women adore it. Lalique pour Homme elegant and refined and Lanvin L'Homme also excellent . Some of the other suggestion from previous are too woody or leathery. Even Monsieur Annick Goutal and Chanel Cologne for Men and Caron pour un Homme are still good wearing and as you have requested have Floral top notes.

I can't believe no one has mentioned Frederic Malle :-?

eu de Hiver... amazing!
their iris scent is really soft, that's the only reason why i mention it.

and my favorite floral of all time.. carnal flower!

it's nice and fruity, never smelled anythign like it.

Howver, not really soft. its more on the strong side. but do yourself a favor and smell it anyways.

Jo Malone Amber and Lavender.

I'm wearing this right now. I wrote a little about it on the SOTD thread. It's a dry lavender, with some myrhh incense notes. Smells a little of fresh soil.

Also recommend Passage D'Enfer and Voleur de Roses.

I myself will recommend FM Iris Poudre, not light and airy, but an ambiguous floral, but I classify it as a medium floral, but if you're going for the truly light, I would recommend Versace's Dreamer or Divine's L'Homme de Coeur, in sillage stronger to the weaker.

Alot of good suggestions, but I have to add LV Musk. It might be a bit heavy for spring, but it is perfect soft floral all the same.

Floris No.89. Flowery-powdery yet masculine; long-lasting thanks to the orris/iris.

I was talking with Marlen about this same thing and he recommended "Hiris" by Hermes. It's a masculine Iris with a flour (yeasty bread) note. There was a woman that reviewed it for BN and she remarked that it seemed more masculine even though marketed to women. Good news is that it's not too expensive. I found it for $24 on ebay for the large bottle.

I love Iris when done well...

It's not especially floral, but it has a nice subtle rose core: Acqua di Parma - Colonia. Jazz also has a rose heart.

Lucky You for Men has "cotton flower". I don't know what it is, but the frag is wonderful, even though on the mass market side, and not overpowering.

I really like Tabac Original, but there is a lot of carnation in there, IMHO, even in just the EDC; I wouldn't necessarily call it soft.

Equipage has a hint of carnation ... it really could use a touch more, but it is really well done anyhow.

Czech & Speake Neroli. This is soft, flowery, and very suitable for men.
Amouage Ciel
Just as a counter suggestion.. why not have a hit at some of the gorgeous fresher/softer florals marketed at women?
Hiris by Hermes
Calandre by Paco Rabanne
No. 19 by Chanel
Eau par Kenzo (not the men's)
Eau de Rochas (not the men's!)
are all beautifully, softly stunningly floral BUT a man could pull them off no problem...

IF you're looking for something ELSE
much more serious and strong
there's Une Rose and Carnal Flower released by Editions de Parfums Frederic Malle
Powerful, one dark, one solar - both incredibly disciplined...

If not, a safer single floral: Rose Poivree by The Different Company

Yes, this isn`t soft frag at all. It`s actually very sharp. Btw, I also can`t understand VdR recos - I don`t think that is soft scent. To me, at least, it is extremely earthy and quite dark.

I have to add Annick Goutal Duel based on its metallic viol note.
