CDG Sequoia vs CDG Palisander

I have decants of both and like them both, however, the Sequoia is hard for me to detect after too long so it is hard for ME to enjoy it throughout the day, even though others comment about it. Â*I picked up the scent on my shirt the next day, and it was very nice, indeed.

The Palisander, on the other hand, is detectable all day and I get a nice waft of it once in a while. Â*It is sweeter, but in a very subtle way. Â*I'm leaning towards a full bottle of this one, only because I can enjoy it more throughout the day.

What say ye?

I have samples of both and I really enjoy more Palisander.

I voted Sequoia of those two. I owned both of these, but wound up selling them on ebay. Both good frags, but I found neither was wearable for me ... as most CdG frags.

I enjoy both, but neither see much action. Palisander is my preference of this quirky pair. It's the mellower of the two, very much like a dark polished wood.

Sequoia is tolerable, and a pretty nice wear after it settles, but for me, the initial impression is cedar, cedar, more cedar and red hots. A tad harsh.

By the way - in Palisander, is the sweetness from myrrh? I have no idea what qualities myrrh has, but there is supposedly myrrh in this juice.

Palisander gives the impression of warmth basically IMO, Sequoia gives the impression of red heat, probably too hot, but I like the point they made in terms of a counterpoint to all those cool and aqua scents out there. Yes there are hundreds!

Voted for Palisander btw.

Yes. Myrrh is somewhat resinous and bitter. There is a slightly sweet quality to it also.

A popular incense ingredient.

Sequoia got my vote. I swapped my Palisander away, it smelled too much like furniture to my liking.
