roll on bottles vs. atomisers?

Personally I tend to go for atomisers - but the roll-ons are cheaper.

However I am concerned that contact with your skin will alter the fragrance. Does any one else find this to be true? I've heard conflicting opinions.

Maybe it depends on the fragrance. I had a small vial of Caron's Tabac Blond which I used by touching the stopper to my skin. A couple of months later when I retried it the fragrance had changed considerably. I suppose this may have resulted from contact with my skin. Some of my other samples which have been tested like this are fine.

Interested to hear what others think about the suitability of roll-ons.

Thanks.

i have atomisers and one roll type atomiser. bought this just to try. to feel the difference.
roll type atomisers sutes more for women which have perfume (strong consentration of scent), not for eau de toilette, to my mind. am i wrong?
