Finally got my bottle of the much praised (and rightly so) Armani Night.
First impressions: It's a lot like Nemo.
Has anyone else noticed this similarity?

Nemo is a smooth, citrus-based oriental scent while Night is a grittier, tonka bean-type oriental. Armani Night was the mainstay of my evening scent for a long time. A very good rendition of the Armani theme.

Agree, though I find more similarities than differences between the two.
What is your take on the closest match to the Armani Night?

Closest match would be Aigner Black. I own both though.

I always wondered what Aigner in Black smelled like. Night to me is more smoother then Nemo. I have a feeling Night is going to be discontinued. An L'Oreal outlets store near me is stocked on the large bottle and sell them for $22.00 a pop.

Nemo's orange top comes on very smooth and the entire scent stays that way until the basenotes. Night has a rougher, grittier top that i always associate with peanut shells in term of its courseness but i do agree, it mellows down to that smooth ambery Armani base that is the totality of Black Code.

re - Discontinued?....have I missed something or is Night really on the way out? The local pharmacy here is selling it at 60% off and the department stores Myer and David Jones dont seem to stock this...White also is on the discount shelf.

Hi Sarjeet,
The bigger Myers stores were discounting Night heavily just after Christmas, but it was in the normal shelves at my local smaller Myers store today. White seemed to be getting heavy discounts in Europe 6 months ago - I got a 50ml bottle for 8 Euros, but it's still dearer here despite being in the discount chemists.
