Looking for a sweet fragrance...

Thread Starter
I'm looking for a sweet fragrance. Some that I've had on mind (but have not tried) are Givanchi Pi, Versace Dreamer, and YSL Opium pH (parfum version). When I say I'm looking for a sweet fragrance, I don't mean sickeningly sweet, but just something very interesting and sensual. Do you have any suggestions? I probably can give more details in response to your replies or questions, so ask away if you need to! Thanks,

Adam

What about Dior Homme or the new Gaultier?
i thought givenchy's Pi was very sweet...

Givenchy Pi is very very vanilla sweet (sickening?...maybe...I won't wear it)
LeMale...cherry and vanilla coke mixed :P
Opium PH EDP is a "bubblegummy" oriental, not sickening sweet
Body Kouros by YSL is also a sweet frag. Â*A little "cottoncandyish" but not that sweet. Â*middel of the road sweet, not my fav. Â*At one time I liked it.
Hanae Mori PH EDP is very very oriental sweet, smells like V&R Flowerbomb to me (sickening...could be, but women love the smell of it) don't wear that one anymore either
Hard to tell what you will like cause only you will know what is "sickening sweet" as opposed to someone else.
I know there are a lot of sweet frags, especially niche ones
My fav is Geir. Â*Although some might not consider this a sweet frag, just florally sweet.

Lolita Lempicka
Gucci Envy
Azzaro Visit (very spicy and "sharp" also)
Lacoste PH
CK Obsession
Givenchy Very Irresistible

Sweet ?? I remember I was told when wearing Ambre Sultan: "Oohh, that's kinda sweet what you're wearing!"

Ambre Sultan ?? - sweet ??

Well, it's NOT sour, so maybe you try yourself. I looooove it madly - it's probably even better than Ambre Precieux, which is sweet as well ?? [smiley=happy.gif]

Givenchy Pi is a must-try if your in the market for sweet, i 'm also a huge fan of Burberry Brit which is a greenish sweet with the whole ginger accord, dries down to like ginger bread cookies

I think it's the drydown that sweet. It was on me anyways. The top not so much.

Try Casual Friday, and get ready for the compliments. ( It`s sweet, but definetely not sickeningly so)

I haven't had the opportunity to try Chanel Egoiste yet but I see in some of the reviews that it is listed as being sweet.

Some that you may have not thought of trying are:
- Samourai by Alain Delon (sweet, lightly aquatic)....
- Very Valentino (sweet and musky...i used to wear this a lot during uni days) and
- Jaipur by Boucheron. Jaipur is quite a well balanced scent, and one sure to get you comments.
Pi is a little too sweet for my liking, but worth trying.....I believe Cristobal by Balenciaga was similar to Pi but not as strong...try to source this one if you can.
- Body Kouros gets my nod, sweet with woods not too over bearing.
Finally, uut of the recent commercial launches, Dior Homme is okay as a sweeter scent.....I would advise to spray lightly on this one, at least for me too much goes to the head.

The greatest "sweet" fragrance of all time, bar none: Â*Chanel Ãgoïste
post #13 of 23
Body Kouros -sweet and different, in other words, yes, 'middle of the roads'
Iceberg Twice - fresh and synthetic sweet
Dior Homme - opens like fresh dollar notes then sweet in a refined way
Black XS - strawberry syrup with mint
A*men- heavy gourmand
Opium EDP - darker than A*men but not as cloying or strange

Hanae Mori and Body Kouros are both very good.

I bought Pi when I was looking for a sweet scent, and I loved it... at the time, however, my nose was much less experienced. Now when I wear it, I find it overpowering sometimes. Still, definitely worth a try.

And I second the Le Male as well.

There are thousands.
Vanilla based frags seem to be the trendiest at present.
Most of the cloying ones do so through overdosage---or just being cheaply made. A dustcropper effect to signal an entire football field that you've made your entrance.

So let me recommend five outstanding ones which are not only well made, but meant to be used " up close and personal "

1. MKK
2. Royal English Leather
3. Santal Noble (MpG)
4. Anucci
5. Jo Malone Black Vetyver Cafe

Cheers,

Mario. 8-)

I second Envy, Hanae Mori, and Body Kouros.

Jako is sweet but not to the extreme.

Yes! Definitely second this. It's by Frederic Malle, costs an arm and a leg, but you can ask for a free sample at http://www.editionsdeparfums.com/

Egoïste is also a good choice and easier to find.

I don´t think you can get any sweeter than Smalto, Amaris or Gai Mattiolo.

By the way, is anyone out there a SWEET fan ? I mean the pop group. The greatest band ever....that fantastic chugging guitar sound !!! (sorry deviation)

Sensually sweet in my book are

Chanel Allure pour homme
Dolce & Gabbana By Man
