Good interest!
Well, I`ve got this scent quite cheap - one time there was a lot of JLA perfumes in Russia.
For me they are not so close. Mark Birley is far more fresh and classical. It`s more natural - in sense of ingredients and whole impression.

JLA Prive Homme is water-mineral-woody scent, with some leather in it. Spices are quite aloud. Very modern.
Marine Aromatique group.
Bergamot, grapefruit, leaves and watery notes - top;
cardamom, coriander, guaiak wood, vetiver, sandalwood, ginseng - heart;
leather, musk, amber, balsamic accent - base.

Haven't smelled Mark Birley but as for JLA Prive Homme I have to add I think it's a second most urban cologne in my book after CDG ODEUR 71 (unfortunately, I haven't yet a chance to sniff CDG Synth series).

It is so unnatural that it's what makes it unique.
I second it's good for office in summer (not for high humidity though).

Regards, Odor.

Ah, time to dig up an old thread!

I just came across Privé Homme for a real friendly price (about 11 for 75ml) in the shop around the corner but they didn't have a tester.

I read the replies and the reviews and I have one more question: is it the same style as CdG's Odeur or does it really smell like it? I'm not a big CdG-fan but for such a small price, I might be willing to make a blind purchase

It´s very pleasant. Like a good blend of Cuiron and Emporio Armani He. Smells clean and very YUP. Cool packaging as well.
