Refrigerating fragrances

I understand that a fragrance should be kept in a dark, cool place in order to help preserve it - but is it a good idea to leave a fragrance in a refrigerator?
Will refrigeration cause any damage to a fragrance - or to specific notes in a fragrance?

Thanks.

you know, I'd bet it probably would after some time. I'd think any temperature extreme from room temperature could have an affect. However, I had a bottle of Salvatore Ferragamo at one point which I left in my glove-box for a few years - Temperatures ranging from -30 in the winter to +45+++ with humidity in the summer (maybe even hotter considering how hot cars can get the summer) - Still smells just as vile as it did when new..

How long do fragrances last when they are kept in room temperature in the dark? I live in a dorm, so I do the best I can with the dark aspect by leaving them in a lock box, unfortunately, I don't have a wine cellar or anything for keeping it cool. :-?
