FRANCE. P&G Beauty is gearing up for a busy beginning to 2006, when the group will introduce a number of new scents from its key fragrance franchises.
In January, the next womens line from Hugo, Pure Purple, will be unveiled. Like the men's line Hugo energise, the concept will be vibrant, active and self-expressive.
In May the company will launch Boss Selection. This fragrance aims to capitalise on the links with Boss fashion, and will consequently be positioned at the top end of the market, with a matching price premium.
Boss Selections core target will be men aged 35 to 49 a segment which has not yet been fully exploited, according to P&G.
Other novelties from Hugo Boss in 2006 will include Boss in Motion Black and the second wave of Boss Skin.
In other news, the new, limited-edition womens fragrance from Escada, Pacific Paradise, will make its debut in the first quarter. The company was a pioneer in the limited edition segment, and the Escada business grows every year, according to P&G.
Other launches will include Gucci Envy Me 2 in April, a limited-edition feminine fragrance from Valentino in May, aimed at younger women, and Very Valentino pour Homme, which will be launched in August.
P&G aims to capitalise on the soccer World Cup next summer with a new, football-themed, limited-edition launch from Puma.
Lastly, there will be new introductions from Naomi Campbell, Ghost, Jean Patou and Rochas.
