The Longevity Poll

Thread Starter
Hello guys,

The longevity issue comes up very often in this forum, and I am curious about what do you consider is the ideal longevity of a fragance. Personally, I don't like scents that stay for too long, so I will answer 4-6 hours. What are your choices?

6-8 is fine

I voted 8-12, but I don't mind a few hours less or more. The problem with the ultralonglasting ones is that they tend to linger on sweaters and such so it's hard to wear anyhing else for a while.

I am thinking that 6-8 hours is good because then when I get home, I can reapply and enjoy the top notes again.

I've voted more than 12 hours. I like coming back home from work or going out to dinner after work and still smell and enjoy what I applied in the morning, so 12-14 hours is ideal for me.

6-8 is fine. I consider anything more than that a bonus.

8-12 for me - a normal working day.

What I do is use a scent for a particualr shirt. That way, even after washing, if the scent is still there it won't conflict with another I have on. This works because I only have about 4-5 scents that I wear.
12 plus hours...especially for the higher priced ones.
