My Aromatics Elixir and Aramis 900 test

Today i tested these out to see how similiar they really are. I sprayed A.E. on my left arm and Aramis 900 on my right. I waited a few minutes and sniffed both arms. They are absolutely two identical scents. The only difference i can tell is that A.E. is the edp version and 900 is the edt. If 900 is ever discountinued then guys should have no worries about wearing a "womens" scent since its the same as the mens.

I just bought a 900 deodorant stick and it smells just like the Aromatics Body lotion for women.

Amazing how these scents are alike. When doesn't Clinique take over the 900 line and make it Aromatics Elixir for men?

I completely agree. Â*Never have two fragrances smelled so similar. Yet they were launched many years apart.

To me, 900 smells a tad more herbal and less spicy than Elixer. Â*

Also, 900 smells similar to those little english soaps wrapped in the colored tissue paper. Â*My grandmother always had a basket of those in the bathroom.

I have and love Elixir. Not for the timid, but a great scent and a bargain!...

Has anyone smelled Aromatics Elixir Velvet Sheer (a '06 discontinued oil/gel based version of the scent), and care to mention if it compares at all to Aramis 900?

They are both beautiful scents. The perfumer, Bernard Chant, did Cabochard, Aromatics Elixir, and the original Aramis.

A, I think he also did Estee Lauder Azuree which also smells similar to the original Aramis.

Similar and wonderful, yes, but not exactly the same. I think that Azuree is heavier and more balsamic.
